Flummy shell, 18 subs but over 10.000 views!! blink.gif

Loved Alix! wub.gif

Wouldn´t want him against me in a fight tongue.gif

Just got me tooth fixed. Ugh. Went quick and painless enough but I still kick myself for letting my guard down! sad.gif

Maybe the one vid got a cult following? BWAAHAA! It was posted on Nexus, I'm sure that boosted its views.

Alix the Mouse is so much fun to play with! I searched all over the internet for different squeaks for him; he has like 25 different squeaks that are unique to him; and many are random so he kind of chatters in squeaks as you are walking around.

He is wicked in a fight! He heals himself; but only when combat is over; so if he takes too much damage in a fight he gets unconscious and you have to heal him. He is summonable, and can swim underwater.

Alix is famous for his bad temper; he throws a fit and is hard to catch again if you ask him to wait.

** Urgh, sorry about your tooth verysad.gif

I had it coming. I had slipped on my morning routine for a great while and you know what the guy said when passing the tenth story; so far so good... wink.gif

Shaped up the same evening though, about a month ago, so I´m much better again at it now. The dentist said I didn´t have any more holes and the one I had was really a small one so I have high hopes smile.gif

I hate going to the dentist - sticking their hands in your mouth, and you don't know when they washed them last or where they've been. Bleah.

Well, over here they always wear gloves wink.gif

Yeah it´s unpleasant and when they drill it´s even more unpleasant so even if it doesn´t hurt, you tense up.

I´m getting my feel back in my jaw now. Haven´t eaten anything since 8AM but I seem to cope with my hunger better than I thought I would. I guess me not wanting to cram food in my mouth after this is stronger than my hunger. For now tongue.gif

Will eat something later and re-re-re-re-rewatch some How I met your mother episodes. The series just finished here and they immediately started over with the very first episode laugh.gif

I love that show! Can you just drink something instead of eating? A fruit and yogurt smoothie or something?

I'm shocked you ate before going to the dentist to begin with! You must have a strong stomach like a camel or something!

What a day. I should have been a standard Monday, with nothing more than a grocery run to Walmart to break the blessed monotony. Instead I spent almost the whole of the morning investigating and then trying to decide what to do about my Brother's claim that he's been hearing what sounds like an animal in his attic. Yup. I didn't see the critter or critters in question, but the largish pile of dropping near the hatch proves that at least one creature has been there for some time. Those droppings ain't none to small neither.

Had found one local (?) animal removal specialist on the net before heading out. (My bro isn't connected to the net.) Gave them a call, and after lengthy waiting received a response. My bro will get a free inspection by them NEXT Monday. From what little I talked with the fellow on the phone, it ain't gonna be cheep. Far from it. Especially if we have them patch the hole at one edge of the roof that is the most likely entry point.

That done for now, I drove to Walmart for groceries, then returned home. Checked mail while hauling groceries to the home. Got a bill from my Primary Care Physician office. A bill I don't believe I should have to pay. This has been ongoing for some time now, stemming from them filing a Medicare claim for a visit back in March under the wrong code, or so the office initially told me. Only, it's gone downhill from there, with Medicare denying the code change (saying it was handled incorrectly), and me periodically badgering the PCM office about getting it properly fixed. I called last week I to be told payment would be put on hold until the case was reviewed and another correction submitted. Yet I got a bill in today's mail. Go figure. I naturally called about that, hopefully straightening it out. (The bill being on hold, not the bill itself.)

Ate lunch. Discovered that due to storm chances the sky was overcast with a slight cooling breeze. I stuck in my earplugs and was able to mow the entire back yard before the sun came out. When it did, it took all of a few seconds under a now baking sun to know I was done for the day.

Talked to my neighbor, a handyman who does home repairs, about my bro's dilemma. He agreed to meet me at bro's house tomorrow morning and take a look at the situation.

Back in my house, I attempted to call my bro to let him know about the new arrangement...to find that his (land-line) phone is on the blink. It begins to ring, turns to static, then disconnects. I've tried and tried since then, hoping he'll notice that one brief ring and either pick up in time of figure it might have been me and call back. (His phone worked fine for outgoing calls this morning.)

And now....supper time.
Acadian
Decrepit, busy day indeed! Bats in the brother's belfry and bugs in your bills! Well at least your chow is stocked up and the lawn is mowed - for now. tongue.gif

Sad news. Hastings has gone bankrupt and will close all stores by 31 Aug. They were our oldest surviving book/entertainment store. I bought many a title there over the years. Some DVDs too. Even rented movies from 'em on VHS back in the day. With them gone only Barnes & Noble, in the mall, remains.

Might swing by there sometime these next few days and see if anything of interest remains on shelves. Article I read says most items should be on sale for 10-30% off. Alas, they no longer honor Hastings gift cards. What I get for not using mine sooner.
SubRosa
We don't have Hastings around these parts. Wasn't there a big battle fought there once? wink.gif

I get most of my movies from Best Buy, and sometimes from Meijer. Best Buy is the only physical store I know of that sells 4k movies. Meijer I am in a lot for groceries and other things, and they actually have a lot of blu-rays and dvds. In fact, I didn't even realize that Batman vs. Superman was out on disc until I walked into a Meijer and saw it on one of those cardboard promo shelves just inside the door. (So I drove to Best Buy and bought it on 4k... biggrin.gif)

I don't buy any hard copy books anymore. I get them all digital. It is easier on my eyes to read from either my laptop screen or my tablet.

Since you mentioned VHS, the last company that still made VCRs has decided to stop production at the end of the month. No more tapes.

We had a great used book store here that was huge - rows and rows of used books; all for between 10 cents and 4.95 depending on whether it was hardback or rare, etc. When they went out of business a few years ago, I nearly cried!

Boy was I hit by a case of the punies yesterday. Think it was a combination of all that went on the day before (I finished the lawn mow as the sun set Monday evening.) and spending several more hours at my bro's house yesterday morning. Whatever.

Came home circa 1100. Ate lunch. Messed around on the internet. Nodded off at my computer desk for an unknown about of time. Woke circa 1310 when my bro called. (I'd left a note for him to do so on his kitchen table.) Groggily related to him possible plans for removing attic animal(s) and fixing roof. Went to bed. Sleep until circa 1640. Ate supper. Bro called again, letting me know about the Hastings closure. Did my evening TMJ exercises. Went to bed. Slept until circa 2145. Did my last TMJ exercises of the day. Submitted my Hastings post. Went to bed. Fell asleep almost immediately. Woke circa 0150. Might have gotten in a bit more sleep between then and when I finally crawled out of bed at circa 0330.

Today I've a TMJ/Dental appointment at 0830, and need to make calls on bro's attic animals. Might also swing by Hastings and see if anything worth buying is left on the shelves (and on sale).

Sorry about your favourite book shop closing down. I´m really for the Mom and Pop stores and I hate to see them go. Even if Hastings wasn´t a Mom and Pop, they were apparently still an old shop that has been around.

Did some grass-cutting today, trimmed the outside of the lawn. Gonna get on the riding mower later tonight or possibly tomorrow depending on the mood. Oh, and no classic girl show today. No fun riding there alone* kvleft.gif

Oh, all the credit for her looks goes to DesuChan (Now MissAnthrope) who made the Awesome mod for her = looks, body, voice, personality/expressions, etc.

The ears go up when she is happy, out to the side when she is tired or bored; back if she is injured or mad; and pinned flat against her head back when she is VERY angry or in combat and her health below 50%. Her tail is extra long and sways around and undulates.

Personality besides the ears = facial expressions & head tracking - and if she likes someone passing her, she smiles at them. If she doesn't like them she puts her ears back and glares!

She is SO much better than the vanilla Khajiit (for me) !!!!!

Oh, I was editing the early chapters when I had the stroke; so some are missing. verysad.gif

Callidus Thorn
I'm actually too jealous right now for my typical Magnetoesque response to mods, that just sounds seriously cool.

I've never played a Khajiit, their faces just don't work for me. Maybe if I spent thirty minutes or so trying to sort one out...
