Guys i need your help

Since you guys are like, prehistoric, your antediluvian knowledge will come in handy (jk you know I love you guys)

Anyway I’m looking for a song, probably around 70s to 80s

It has a catchy chorus that goes along the lines of “you and me, (in the boat of dreams/in a world of dreams?)” the theme and subject matter of it is really sad, like it’s meant for either romance or for the world

Help me, Obi-Wan. You’re my only hope!

If it was on the radio, stations usually post their playlists. So you can narrow down the title by date and time...

If otherwise- I got nothing without a bit more to go from.

I could give an exhaustive list of "dead girlfriend" songs- "The Endless Sleep", "Teen Angel", etc.

Once upon a midnight dreary! smile.gif

Now that Khajiit has it in his possession and is not just seeing it in pics on Amazon, he is convinced the bird in the pic is in fact a raptor and not a corvid, but meh, this one will just pretend it’s a highly stylized raven.

You are right. The beak is curved like an eagle's, not the relatively straight bill of a crow or raven. In fact, it looks like a bald eagle.

In fact, it looks like a bald eagle.

That was Khajiit’s thought as well. Thinking now this one just wants to return it, which is a shame. Khajiit loves the design but why the f did they use an eagle in the place of a raven?

*edit*
Yeah Khajiit returned it on the grounds that the style was not as expected. Amazon says we don’t have to send it back to them, guessing because this one didn’t pay a lot for it in the first place.

Amazon is pretty cool that way with returns. I have had things get lost in the mail and never show up in the first place, and they always fast tracked a replacement for me without any hassle at all.

Me either, but I currently have an order going for an item that was supposed to come back into stock on the 3rd.

It's currently in stock. My item hasn't been dispatched yet. Delivery date isn't until the 10th(god I hate European Amazon... I'm used to three days tops) to 12th, but I'm still irritated it's not been processed much less shipped yet.

Darned hubby wanting something that wasn't in stock.

I don't hold them up as high as I seem to, but when I do start listening to some of their songs I can see what the big deal is. Agneta's voice was incredible.

I don't remember my first online purchase either. Probably airline tickets. Furthest back I can remember anyway.

My first "online" purchase was Iron Maiden records and t-shirts/flags. Though it was via fax and not the internet but still; I did it via the Windows 3.1 computer smile.gif

I'm trying to figure out what to do around the 1st of November. Sure I have that .45 ACP revolver in layaway but its still just a bit to pricey to get out. What I might do is make a payment of $100.00 and as a back up buy the .45ACP Hi-Point carbine which should leave me with enough money for bills, then in December get the pistol out then I'll have a Rifle and revolver combo that takes the same round. I think that's a reasonable game plan.
Sakiri
I pondered getting a carbine in .40 for that same reason but it never panned out. No job and disability income meant I had to save for everything forever, so between odd jewelry sales and saving for 18 months, I'd pulled together the exorbitant price that CA charges for guns. A 599 USD pistol retails for over 700 there, plus DROS fees(dealer record of sale) plus the background check, and then there's a 10 day wait to get it out of jail...

Oh and I had to take a test(which I had to pay for) and get a handling certificate that shows I can handle a pistol properly before I could take it home.

Was ridic. People are like, it's so easy to get a gun, even in CA! I'm like, not if you're doing it legally it's not. Bloody expensive and time consuming. They seem to think I can walk into a store and come back out raring to go at a moment's notice.

Blah.

Oklahoma also has good gun stores, any gun no waiting, walk in sign some paperwork, walk out with said gun and best of all no limits as long as you have the money though I'd keep it under two guns per purchase or else you're getting eyeballed by Big Bro biggrin.gif .

It was a Giphy link. Khajiit uses Giphy all the time but it seems the particular gif this one was trying to use wouldn’t work.

QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Oct 7 2018, 08:49 AM) *

Khajiit can’t even remember his first online purchase.

I've not felt up to a lengthy full investigation. Searching SHOULD have been relatively easy. I've logged all non cash purchases into a searchable computerized account ledger since 1992, after all. That predates my joining the internet by roughly four years. It's possible I ordered sometime while still accessing the web via BBS, but suspect any such transaction would be ordered via a company's online site (if they were called that back then) and paid for by check send via snail-mail. Not ruling that scenario out, but for now I'm concentrating on debit card purchases.

So far as I can tell, I didn't start using a debit card until circa early spring 1996. For the first some years I apparently didn't know the proper way to enter debit purchases into the ledger. They're all there, but entered in such a way as to make searches all but useless. I therefore have to expand each entry one at a time and hope for the best. Makes for tedious work.

So far as I can tell, my first debit purchase occurred 4/15/1996. The memo field says I bought Strategu Plus / IE Magazine for $6.99. (Surely Strategu is a typo of Stratego?????) Amazingly I did NOT note the payee!!!!!!! As I see it, this had to have been two magazines or one mag and something else bought locally rather than online.

On 9/27/96 I paid $40.95 by check to "3DO Direct" for the first "modern" MMO, Meridian 59. This is almost certainly local despite "3DO Direct" being listed as payee. Also, I'm fairly sure I bought M59 at our local Babbages.

On 11/22/96 I paid $9.95 by debit card for "Meridian 59 monthly fee." This would have been my first M59 monthly payment, and very possibly my first online purchase. I distrust it solely because it's what I suspected I'd find. Too pat, in other words. For now it stands.

On 4/11/97 I paid $259.08 by debit card for a 2.5GB hard drive. The payee is listed as "Midwest Micro." I'm pretty sure this is/was NOT a local establishment. If so, it's the earliest online purchase of a PHYSICAL product I've unearthed thus far.

Of possible interest, on 8/26/1996 I paid $19 by check for "Daggerfall." The payee is listed as "Bethesda Softworks." This has me stumped. It can't be for the the game itself, which would have sold for full price at the time, and in any case was acquired locally. $19 was, I believe, the cost of a PC strategy guide back then. If I ever owned the DF strat guide no physical evidence remains.
