Alexander
So, 4-4-2014 will be the scene for the release of this game.

I believe I will be checking this out and giving it a run through, but one of the things I've disliked since hearing about it, is the fact that they've basically split the game up into three pieces and that you don't really have the freedom to walk from one end of Tamriel, to the other end.

This for me seems like a disappointment. Regardless of everything else, regardless of how much I might enjoy the game, it seems this is a bit of a waste of potential.

Do you agree?
McBadgere
I absolutely agree...and I suspect that any free to roam pass will cost some very much monies, if it ever exists...

And the money is the main reason we're not doing it...

Having forked out the £40 for the Playstation Plus so as we can all play online games...(Turns out you don't need a subscription for each user, just the "Admin" account which covers everyone else on the machine)...Um...Oh yeah...There's no way we can pay out £120 subs to Bethesda, per person, per year for the four of us here that enjoy the ES games...

We wouldn't even do that for one of us, so no chance of nearly £500 just to play a game...that's without the ingame sales there's rumoured to be...
King Coin
I am going to try it, just because it's Elderscrolls. Similar to Alexander, I am a bit disappointed that factions will be restricted to their zones, and races are restricted to their factions.
King Of Beasts
I wanna try it. Looks super interesting, and hopefully it'll be better than most MMO's

That disappoints me greatly. I was going to try to replace my current computer with a gaming computer so I could actually play ESO. Now I don't think I am :/
mirocu
I won´t try it out because of the monthly cost which I very much don´t need plus I´m busy with Oblivion and Arena. I will get the game for my collection though! biggrin.gif

ESO?

Hell no!

And as with Skyrim, many, many reasons for this.
Grits
I’ll try it out. The things I dislike seem to be features of an MMO, so I’ll either get over it or not. I just can’t resist the opportunity to explore new parts of Tamriel. I’ll probably end up with multiple characters to see all of the faction areas. Unless there’s too much time wasted on “progression” before the whole map is open. That might cause me to exceed my eye roll per minute of play allowance.

The game looks beautiful, so if I can wander around I’ll be pretty happy at least for a while.

I'm not getting it, not on 4-4-14 anyways, and probably not for a long time. Not that I have anything against it; I'm like mirocu in that I simply won't have time for ES: O. My gaming schedule's so crowded I something think I might need to hire a secretary to organize it all!
mirocu
You could get it for your TES collection too, Renee wink.gif

If my budget allows for it, I will definitely get the game on 4-4-14. I was against it at first, because I'm not a big pay-for-play fan. But having played WoW and enjoying it as much as I did, I have to believe that an Elder Scrolls game of the same ilk would be great. Am I disappointed that we will be restricted to certain areas of Tamriel? Yes, of course. I'll probably follow Grits in setting up multiple characters so I can see it all.

Definitely won't be getting it close to release, and seriously doubt I'll ever get it.

There are various reasons such as budget, time and needing a next gen console or gaming pc. However the main reason I won't be buying it is because I have absolutely no interest in playing an elder scrolls game with other people. Personally I feel it goes against so many of the principles of tes games, primarily being a lone hero in an unfamiliar world. That is why morrowind is my favorite tes game I've played, even though I played it way after it was released and once it was generally considered outdated. I truly felt alone and like an outsider in that game

I can understand why other people are excited about it, I hope these people have a great time and I hope the game makes tons of money to be put into future tes games. But it's certainly not what I want in an elder scrolls game...

Anyone actually found out what the subscription fee will be yet? Still wondering what the cost on this thing is looking like.

I heard 15 dollars a month. Not sure if that's correct though, I haven't payed much attention to it since they announced the subscription fee...

Yeah I figured they'd need a sub fee. It costs to keep a game going. Still not sure if I'll be getting it or not regardless.

I hoped they wouldn't have one, but knew they would...

Still the fee doesn't affect whether or not ill but it. MMOs just don't appeal to me

Same here. And TES to me is single player only.
