Thanks, I tend to agree on the second one for coloring. That warden outfit really is perfect for Buffy. I think Grits called it an adventuring mage outfit that she and I have been looking for since Skyrim.

Well you see Haz, being Reachfolk, Brenna wouldn't exactly be welcomed in "polite societies" if she went running around in her Reach garb and warpaint all the time, at least not at first, so she added a "normal" Breton name as her middle name and makes sure to use her father's surname when talking to folks.

Oh, wonderful shots, Grits! Everyone looks so good. It is so funny to use Lyris as a backdrop for bitty Bosmers! And by Azura - that shot when Darnand looks up and shows his face. . . he is gorgeous! I could feel Buffy's heart speed up just looking at him.

Khajiit, Abiene is new to ESO, but she has been a character of mine since Oblivion. Darnand, Abiene, and Jerric are introduced in the very first line of Jerric’s Oblivion story. Lildereth came along a few chapters later.

(a story which is linked in her signature at the bottom of every post she makes ... hint, hint!!!)

What I am loving about our Chorrolite Guild is that many of the original members have FanFics here where these characters lives played out in the pages and we came to know them as well as their authors through the previous Elder Scrolls games - so when ESO came out, for the first time we were able to finally see the characters first hand instead of just in screenshots.

When the character is as full of antics as Grits's Jerric is, then meeting him is a must after so many years of reading about him! The same with Grits's Darnand/Abiene/Lildereth/etc; Hazmick's Haa-Rei and Ciri; Haute's Julian; Kazeara's Adryn (and others) - and of course, Acadian's Buffy and Superian!

It is amazing to me how well each of these characters were so accurately brought to life in this game!

(So in other words, we all kind of actually "know" each other's characters) - except mine. (I do have a Fic too; but couldn't get an accurate representation of my Khajiit in this game; so I brought Misa instead. Misa has never been a part of any story; but has been a character I've played in many of my previous games: Morrowind, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas).

This is one of the best vids I've ever seen about what it is like during a battle to hold a Keep; and an excellent Healer staying on top of the troop's health throughout the very long battle! The vid is taken from the Healer's cam:

Wow, that was intense! Hooray for Healing Springs in a fast, mobile, long fight!

I was very interested in that spell casting he did while up against the door that was being bombed; was he putting a shield down? Doing DPS? Because I know he wasn't healing the enemies trying to bash in the door! Was he using that "Jesus Beam" thing you have told me about?

That was a huge siege, I've never been in one protecting a Keep against a zerg that big or that organized before, but the awesome part is that they broke in all the doors and walls to the keep and were still routed!

It was a long vid, but so well worth watching for that healer continuing to work through that whole thing = I had no idea which spells he was dropping, but I was sure you would know!

He seemed to be primarily using Healing Springs (resto AoE heal). I also saw him using Breath of Life (templar burst heal) a couple times, primarily on himself when he got in trouble. He did not use Radiant Destruction (or its other morph, Radiant Glory) which is the Templar's 'Jesus Beam' execute spell. I saw him affected by numerous spells including both Rapid Regen and Mutagen (resto HoTs) but those came from other healers, as I never saw him casting those. He also did not use any Templar auras, as this fight was way too mobile for to stay put.

Regarding casting against that door, it looked like more spamming inf Healing Springs to me - I assumed there were perhaps either friendlies on the other side of the door fighting or the door itself was somehow repairable by healing. Are you sure there were not friendlies fighting outside the door? I ask because I thought (could be wrong) that I saw green healing numbers rising from beyond the door as he was casting.

It would be very strange to have friendlies outside a keep door under heavy siege attack, that is usually the enemies trying to break into the Keep. I thought he might be casting a DoT through the door - or maybe a siege shield. I did see the green siege shield over the top of that same wall when he went back upstairs.

I am most def getting that siege shield; I have about 24 skill points remaining and have taken almost all Britta needs already.

Oh, another thing. Did you see when they caught that Aldmeri inside and chased him up to the upper wall, and the Healer used his staff on him and he went over the wall? That made me decide to invest in that bow skill that blows the enemy back 15 feet, I didn't get it yet. And possibly the Mages Guild Rune that blows everyone in the air 15 feet. That doesn't do much damage, but it does stun and can be cast ranged.

There were some friendlies outside. If you look carefully, the healer steps outside for a second or so but heads back inside straight away as his health gets knocked down to about 3%.

The friendlies outside were likely trying to keep the enemies away from the gate for as long as possible. It can be an effective strategy, depending on the number of siege weapons the enemy has.

One of the shots early on in the vid showed a bunch of siege equipment set up; but since they broke in all the doors they must have had them on the other sides too.

This is my favorite Alliance War vid I've seen yet, what an amazing victory for them to have that Keep so far gone and still win = hold the Keep!

It's actually a very close recreation with looted clothing. (Not pictured: wrestling with a Daedroth because that is kind of hard to screenshot while in the middle of it.)

Only downside to this is that common clothes still degrade like armor even though they don't have an armor rating. :T

Oh, that is Awesome! Urgh, I didn't know it degraded! My bank mules used to wear stolen (then fenced/laundered) clothing - I thought it would never need repairs, lol.

Obtained the Brassy Assassin personality after Maz tried it on and it fit her perfectly. I can't get over how well it suits my big Orc brute - mixed in with the brute emotes from Idle Personalities add-on it's a great way to convey her personality! Oddly enough, she also tried on the Dwemer monocle we got out of those free crates, and won't take it off.

I have been playing with two non-Chorrol friends in ESO. Some of you have grouped with us for world bosses and dungeons, so you are familiar with Bear and Gray. Bear's grandson Buddy (who is about 11) is visiting this month. I met Buddy (or rather, Maz met him) during Jester's Festival while he was visiting over Spring Break and Grandpa Bear set him up with a character on one of his accounts. So when Buddy came back, we started grouping together and playing together. Then I got the news about the IMTP and couldn't spend as much time online as I had been because of all the treatments and tests and additionally taking care of my mom after her knee surgery. I felt bad about having to say no to Buddy's group invites so much. I sent an in game email to Bear telling him why I couldn't be online for longer periods of time. I asked him to explain to Buddy what was going on.

Tonight as Alise was wrapping up the Leki's Blade quests in the Alik'r (we had been chatting while Alise was clearing that part of her map), I get this in-game mail from Buddy. He's a great kid and I hope to clear more dungeons with him before he goes back home . . .

Aw, that letter is so touching! Buddy sounds like a little sweetheart! (Bear is too). Bear might not be an active member of Chorrol, but he has permissions at all my houses and a welcome at any time he wants to visit. I consider him an honorary member of the Chorrolites; like you always were even before you joined. I most def join Buddy in his wishes that you get well SOON!



That Dwemer eyepiece most def fits Maz to a "T" !!!!!!! I can't wait to see her personality additions, I haven't seen that new one yet! I do love the "Idle Animations" addon though; they kind of let you custom make your character's idles to each's own personality = really nice!

Jerric recently gave Lleduri a carnivorous house plant. Lleduri likes it very much, but is not sure if he is hitting on her or if it’s a murder attempt. Here she is deciding if she should write the thank-you note in poison.

Oh, Grits, I'm sure it must be Jerric hitting on her. I'm sure he would never wish to harm Lil. On the other hand, I figure he probably hits on anything in a skirt, yes?

Is there a difference when it comes to Nords? Still, I imagine it'll keep the room free of bugs and pests.




I changed Ciri's equipped food today, so here's a shot of her gathering ingredients. Turns out the river that runs by their house is a great fishing spot.

Oh it does seem to make fishing much more fun when you use the ingredients. In Buffy's case, she lives on salmon - millet - tomato soup and makes sure she stays waaayy overstocked.

Carnivorous plant? I always thought it was rather - *ahem* *cough* *cough* - pornographic. So to be consistent with my own impressions, I'd figure Jerric would be hitting on Lleduri with that gift . . .

That house plant ... er, "Thanks!" (but GAAAAAH!) would have been any one of my character's response! Oh yeah, she most def owes Jerric some kind of payback for that one!

Though Buffy was too polite to mention it, she confesses that she shared your first impression. The plant definitely looks like a maneater rather than a consumer of women or mermaids. Lil is probably safe.
