Full Version: Fallout 4 - Unique Names for Weapons/Armor

RaderOfTheLostArk
It is much more fun to read unique names than the long, boring stuff most weapons and armor are called. I left their original names for a long time because I wasn't thinking of anything creative and I thought I might lose track of it all. But I haven't.

So, what are some unique names you have given your weapons or armor? Or what do you think would be cool names, or what you seen other people name stuff? Give whatever information you want to: original name, special effects, mods, damage, ammo, any attributes, etc.

I didn't feel like jotting down every detail so maybe I I'll do so later. I have a whole bunch of things that I renamed, but I won't put them all up in one go. (I also still have a couple of weapons to rename.) Here are some of my favorite names I've made.

Choo-choo!
Originally: Railway Rifle
Ammo: railway spikes

Combobreaker
Originally: can't remember, but it was a combat shotgun of some sort
Ammo: shotgun shells

RIP AND TEAR!
Originally: Bloodied Disciples Cutlass
Special: Does more damage the lower your health is
Type: Cutlass blade
Speed: FAST

The Twofer
Originally: Two-shot something-or-other
Special: shoots an additional projectile with each shot
Ammo: .308 rounds

Firestarter
Originally: Irradiated Shishkebab (the one you get from Abraham Finch's quest
Special: Does 50 points additional radiation damage (it also does regular and fire damage)
Speed: MEDIUM

Judgment Day
Originally: Freezing Fat Man
Special: Does 10 points cryo damage and will freeze targets on critical hits
Ammo: Mini Nuke

The Law
Originally: Stunning Super Sledge (I think)
Speed: SLOW
No special but it does both regular and energy/fire damage; I haven't used it myself yet, so I have not...laid down the law (insert DavidCarusoCSIMiamiSunglasses.jpg meme here)

Say It Wit' Ya Chest
Originally: can't remember
Armor: Chest piece

So, what are some cool names you can think of or have seen?
SubRosa
Choo Choo is hilarious. Though I might have gone with John Henry for a Railway Rifle ... wink.gif

Judgment Day is awesomely menacing. Good name for a Preacher's weapon.

I'll copy the ones I posted in the other thread, plus a few more I remembered

The Last Full Measure
SCAR-L used by Victoria

The Full Measure
Missile Launcher used by Victoria

Karasu (Japanese for 'Crow')
Katana used by Tsuruhime in FO4

Malediction
Peresphone's sword in Skyrim, Oblivion, FO3, FONV, and FO4.

Takizakura (Japanese for 'Waterfall of Cherry Blossoms')
Katana used by Oda Hidetaka in FO3 and FONV.

Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi (Japanese for 'Grass-Cutting Sword')
Katana used by Tomoe Gozen in FO3.

Hm, I never think to jot down what I name weapons. I do have this one that I made for Paladin Danse a while back:

Almost forgot I just gave one to Nick, too. A Tommy Gun with the Crippling effect and I named it Heartbreaker.

SubRosa: Haha, that's a good one too. Good idea for a character that mostly or solely uses the Railway Rifle in combat and both can be named John Henry.

An idea that just came to me now: If you want to go for intimidating versus humorous or referential, The Pain Train is the way to go.

Kane: Lol, good name. Especially for attacking raiders, gunners, etc. that keep dancing by trying to sidestep shots.

I'll have to look them up in game to see what they were originally made from; but the first weapon I upgraded I called "Ping Ping" and the second was "Pew Pew" = both because that is the sound they made and I just couldn't think of anything else, lol. Naming anything has never been my forte, lol.

My latest weapon for dealing with the tougher customers:

Bloody Mary

Here are some names I've made for weapons.

Armageddon
Originally: Regular Gatling Laser, but sold that after I picked up a Gatling Laser and renamed that one
Special: 20% chance to cripple an enemy's legs
Story: I had been searching in vain for a Gatling Laser, which I could've sworn I had stashed away somewhere. So admittedly, I gave up and just consoled one into my inventory several weeks or so ago. I had been stockpiling fusion cores to the tune of 151 of them (I believe that was the exact number)! I've used it so much now that I went down to 30- or 40-something.

Anyway, when I played yesterday, I had to travel to Far Harbor to rescue a synth. I stopped by my settlement at the National Park Visitors Center since I had to go to the National Park HQ. Had several settlers tell me that they were in some real and that they hoped I could help, so I knew something was about to go down. Lo and behold, a bunch of trappers sieged the settlement. Almost died several times thanks to stupid harpoon guns, but the Legendary trapper of some sort was carrying--a Gatling Laser! How he came across that is beyond me, but whatever. So I killed him and found out it wasn't any ordinary Gatling Laser. It had a sweet, sweet crippling effect! After going to Rayburn Point to kill the rest of the trappers, I immediately went back to the Visitors Center to see what else I could. Attached a Beta Wave Tuner to that bad boy for some fire damage and wrecked house at the National Park HQ to rescue the synth.

Other names I have given to weapons:

Handcannon (bonus points to those who know what game that references)
Originally: Some sort of .44 pistol; don't think it had a special effect

Night-Night
Originally: Plasma rifle with night vision; doesn't have a special effect, but wow, does it pack a punch with the ballistic and energy damage

The Pain Train
Originally: Can't remember the exact name, but it was a railway rifle of some sort
Special: Fires 15% faster than normal
Story: Not much of a story, but found this on a Legendary enemy a while back that I had killed with my regular railway rifle that I renamed Choo-Choo! Sold choo-choo (was a bit sad to part with it, it had served well) and then renamed this new railway rifle The Pain Train.

Forget what other names I have at the moment, so I'll post those later.

Vinnie "Slugger" Sinistra wields the mahogany-colored baseball bat, currently modified with wrapped chains. In the future he'll modify it some more, he plans to add some blades to it, and even some superior modifications, but he'll require some Science perks to create it.

The name of the baseball bat is Habanero, and here's a screenie of it. On the screenie the wrapped chains weren't fitted yet.
SubRosa
That is bound to add spice to people's lives...

Vinnie's self-modified bayoneted pipe rifle --> Carmen.

And self-modified heavy-framed 10mm gun --> Hugo.
