Rowan and Vorstag are enjoying wedded bliss, for the most part. It is a little sad when Rowan comes home to find her burly death machine parked in a chair. “Hello, my love,” he says wistfully. “Back from one of your many adventures?” So then she gives him a little something to do, like fix her dinner. “This is fresh,” he says. “I’ll have another one ready tomorrow.” Uh, ‘fresh’? Is that anything like your definition of ‘clean’? If he’s going to keep cooking, Rowan needs to get a dog.

That sprint from Riften had me worried, lol. I was looking at the voice actors for the game and noticed on the marriageable list that a select few had their own particular voice actor instead of one of those generic voice actors for the whole race. Farkas was one of these few. Since he was designed to be marriageable, I was hoping he may have some special dialogue options after marriage. He may not, but even if he has the same lines he may do a less wooden job of saying them. One can hope anyway, lol. Anyway, Maxical is going to test it out and see if she can get the marriage option from him via console before the quest completes. (otherwise she will have to wait till she finishes two other things and then will get over there and do the companions questline). His filthiness, greasy hair, and huge black circles around his eyes are more of a turn-off than the wolf beast side of him - but his personality is very nice and he is Awesome to dungeon crawl with. I did download a mod that cleans Farkas and Vilkus up - will install it before the wedding and see if it helps the "wet dog" smell to go away, lol.

I can't understand why Bethesda insists on giving us characters that look grotesque when the modding community has proven repeatedly that we want something visually attractive. Yes it is a fantasy game, but who's fantasy is to bed filthy greasy bear-types (or wrinkled green ants/hornets with clothing on) - or woman who glare perpetually, talk like a man, and want to beat you down to see if you are "man enough" to wed them? (Certainly not Maxical's, lol).
Going on just personality alone - only three men (that she has met so far) were likable enough for marriage: the Smithy in Riften, Farkas, and the Jarl of Whiterun.
The sweetest women (so far that she has met) were Ilisif the Fair (Awesome), and Adrienne (the Smithy in Whiterun) - but Adrienne can be moody at times. Neither are on the mariageable list, but a few console keys can fix that.
There is also a mod that helps the spouse take off their dirty bloody armor before crawling into bed beside your character. They will be in their diapers/bikinis (or not) at your discretion. So far they do not have one that changes them into their pajamas yet.

That would be great. I wonder how much longer the pajama mod will take than the naked one. Rowan got fed up with Lydia’s front row seat in the Breezehome marital bedchamber, so she finally figured out how to buy the house in Solitude. She will NOT be accepting the honor of Thane just yet to avoid a repeat housecarl situation. Pretty soon she and Vorstag will head out on their honeymoon trip, hauling 25 pounds of reading material up a mountain. On the next road trip I'm going to study how Vorstag's 'shop' works. It looks like Rowan can sell him their loot as they go, which would be great. Not so great if the stuff she gives him to carry has to be bought back from him, or if he buys her loot and then has too much weight to carry the loot he hasn't bought yet.

You may want to hold off selling to him, because you don't gain money from your spouse from what I've heard. You have to buy from him, but he doesn't have to pay for what you sell to him. Talk about a rip !!! He will give you 100 per day if you ask him "how's business going."

Vorstag's Mobile Shop of Trinkets and Treasures is not a success. Rowan asked what he has for sale, and it's all of the awesome stuff she has been giving him to use!! He'd better not sell his ebony axe to some stranger, or there will be hell to pay when his wife finds out. Also he has zero gold for purchasing. She is going to have to keep him as a follower so she can keep track of his stuff!! I hope he's extra comforting until she gets over this.

So I thought you had to sleep at home to get that extra 5% from your spouse. Well. The newlyweds Rowan and Vorstag stopped for the night on their way up to the Throat of the World, and in the morning they were busted by that little message on the screen: You awaken feeling your Lover’s Comfort. Rowan: Vorstag: Grits: Apparently you can be anywhere with your spouse including a room on the ground floor of a crowded tavern that doesn’t even have a door. Or maybe Vorstag is just an overachiever.
