QUOTE(Grits @ Feb 11 2012, 03:21 PM) Rowan’s Markarth bug is fixed, so she and Vorstag are spending some time in his hometown. They are post-MQ, but it has been a dragon fest lately. The Reach looks even more amazing now. Imperial Rowan is getting a lot of lip from the Stormcloaks. She’s beginning to think she should kick some heads in, too.
Jensa’s broken Companions quest is still broken. I checked to see if she wanted to visit Erik in case he has changed his mind about her, but she doesn’t even want to talk about that subject.
Pretty much I’ve been making everyone run around and gawk at the scenery since the patch. After they play with their weapons racks, of course.
Urk, that is why I was afraid to get into that part of the Companions till I had done all the other questlines, lol. Didn't know how well General Tullius would take to a wolf sitting beside him at the table, lol. How is the Reach looking different? (or is that a spoiler?) Urk !! QUOTE(McBadgere @ Feb 11 2012, 02:40 PM) I'm going to have to do something about Ulfric Stormcloak one of these days... ... He irks me, wants my Khajiit's help but hates Khajiit. I think something got tweaked in the update (PS3). Everything looks clearer, with sharper detail. The sunlight on the stone buildings in Solitude looks warm, and you can see little streaks of moss on the stone blocks. There's a high meadow near the Sundered Towers, and the view is stunning. Clouds on the mountain look real. So do the moons. I can't get over the flowers. It's all stuff I've seen before, only better. Or maybe I only think I stopped taking medication.

Ulfric took a decapitation to the knee in my game, I despise bigots, heck even Argonians are banned from the City because of his rule :/ Craig and Farkas just fought a dragon and a dragon priest at the same time, it was hard but the duo managed to beat them both, will post what happened later

Did a couple touch ups before finding some of the new mods apparently don't play nice and have placed Skyrim in a fail at main menu state. To start... Archmage Cameron and her wife stopped at Breezehome to drop off some unneeded items while on their way to Marketh. Also making his appearance, is the unarmed Khajiit Squ'que Chu'toi based off a conversation I had at work with some other Skyrim players. Assuming I can get the unarmed mod to work he might actually get to Riverwood.

QUOTE(King Coin @ Feb 12 2012, 01:15 PM) Are you talking about a specific armor (bracers I think they are) that are found in Riften?
It should enhance. I haven't heard of any issues with them, and many people on the BethSoft forums recommend getting them for Khajiit.
It is a unique one, a gauntlet. I've used it several times in hand-to-hand combat and loved the results (just never knew if it was including my Khajiit stat or not). Gloves of the Pugilist - Riften Found this in the Ratway - Unarmed strikes do + 10 additional damage This post has been edited by mALX: Feb 12 2012, 07:31 PM

"To where are you bound, friend Shaade?" J'zirlo asked. "Riften. J'Drell asked me to see if I can muster up anything there. You?" "Aaah...Khajiit is headed for Winterhold. That is where my scrawny reared kitten of a brother was headed. To that college up on the hill." "A mage?" asked the Imperial Knight. "I had no idea." "HAH!...He wishes." The large khajiit laughed. "No, he has grand ideas...But...Ach...Khajiit does his kin a great disservice. J'zargo is a decent warrior in his own right, just...Not as good as I." J'zirlo raised an eyebrow. "Well, khajiit goes left, you, my friend, go right." Shaade ran her hand down the length of her ponytail to straighten it, then held her hand out to J'zirlo. They clasped forearms. "May your bed be free from fleas." She said with a smirk. "Hah! And may your knees be ever free of arrows!" the khajiit repied with a smile. "J'zirlo thinks that friend Shaade should smile more often. It is a beautiful sight." The Imperial blushed, smiled and looked down at the floor. Then she pulled the khajiit close and kissed his cheek. "Stay safe J'zirlo. Thank you." And they parted. J'zirlo watched Shaade walk south-east down the road for a while. She looked back once and smiled. The khajiit felt something in his heart stir. "Until next time mii-kiit..." he said quietly, turned to his road, and walked, humming to himself. ------------------ All that waffle is simply saying that today, I started two characters that will turn up in my story...And until I wrote that bit I had no idea that romance was in the offing...Blimey!...The things you learn... ... Oh, and the update has made no-end of difference to the start bit in Helgen...Sooo nice!!... ... Much improved...

QUOTE(King Coin @ Feb 12 2012, 01:33 PM) Ok yeah that's what I thought you were talking about.
This item that the mod adds is considered a weapon and not an armor piece. It has to be used so that the one handed perks effect unarmed and so that unarmed will increase the one handed skill when used.
Like I said, I didn't download the mod because it looked like it had balancing issues. I imagine that the 'weapon' isn't anything you can see on your character, just something in the inventory to equip to apply the damage and perks.
Download it and just tweak the numbers to balance it? I have to admit, this is an intriguing concept. When I get time I might trying tinkering with it. Given how FO3 really expanded on unarmed combat, I was disappointed when Skyrim all but cut it out completely. It would be fun to play a Shaolin priest on the run from Akavir, where she is wanted for killing the Emperor's nephew.

I wasn't interested in unarmed (or melee really) in FO3 because I kept thinking Why the hell would I want to punch something when I can shoot it?So I can see sort of why the cut it out. However I think unarmed is much more relevant to TES than FO3 just because there aren't GUNS. EDIT: So yeah, I want unarmed back. This post has been edited by King Coin: Feb 12 2012, 07:54 PM

KC's right, the mod I'm giving a shot to is the Unarmed Warfare mod that puts unarmed damaged based off the one-handed tree and adds a similar perk to Fists of Steel in the Light Armor tree. I'll let you know how things run. It took me awhile to figure out where the conflicting mods were so I didn't actually get to play much yesterday.

Besides, it isn't so much the punching in FO3, as it is the clawing. It works pretty good for Deathclaws after all. I think a Hagraven Gauntlet would be a cool unarmed 'weapon' for Skyrim. Not to mention a dragon one.
