Recently I've been on a Bikini Kill kick. Been listening to "ceiling Whipped" and "Reject All American" over and over over, for some reason. I get into these moods when I have to listen to the same music almost constantly for days. Then, suddenly, the fever to listen to that album or that artist vanishes without a trace.

At which point I start listening to someone or something else obsessively for days on end. *sigh*

Mine can too, actually. I've listened to everything from Frank Zappa and David Bowie to Pierre Boulez and Elliot Carter - and many, many others - for literally weeks on end. I can drive people insane.

OT: I did not write the word "ceiling." Thanks, forum censor. The word I wrote is a slang term for cat.

Our autocensor has a sense of humor exceeding that of some sentients. It can inject some wonderful cleverness into potentially crude verse. Its ability to discern intent does not always match its wit but the tool is helpful, given our low age threshold of 13 here.

Pseron, thank you for clarifying the name of that band in such a perfectly elegant way. smile.gif

Just a friendly reminder to all, outsmarting our adorable little language guardian by such things as typing an a followed by a pair of dollar signs is called bypassing the autocensor and is against the rules and intent here of maintaining an uncoarse discourse. Take a tip from Shrek and just call me a donkey. tongue.gif

Oops! Guilty as charged, I'm afraid. embarrased.gif The problem with language is that, through repetition, some words take on a meaning and a context that just can't be easily duplicated. I agree that calling someone a donkey works... but calling them a jack-you-know-what (see, that's me showing restraint laugh.gif) works better. But I respect the rules of the forum and I will do my best not to 'bypass the autocensor' in the future.

Remember my 2 year old? Yeah. He loves this crap. What's embarrassing is we live in a town with a predominantly Hispanic population, and he screeches "AYUDAME! AYUDAME!" (Help me, help me!) XD

"Dude, shut up!"

"AYUDAME!"

-gives up-
