Letter #5

Dear Belle,

After spending the night at the Mojave Outpost I decided to travel south toward Nipton. Big mistake.

Whilst walking to the town I encountered a few guys who shot at me, which I just ran from (they were pretty lousy shots.)

I also encountered this guy called Tomas who looked a bit rough for wear. He, for some reason, told me a story about this girl he was travelling with who tried to kill him and steal his ‘star caps’. I don’t know what he meant.

Then I reached Nipton, and it wasn’t a pleasant arrival. The place was pretty much burned to the ground.

As soon as I entered the town I bumped into a guy who said he’d won a ‘lottery’. I tried asking him what he meant, but he looked at me like I was an idiot. He then ran away.

As I continued through the hellish town I saw guys literally crucified above burning debris. The smell and sight alone was enough to make me want to vomit. The I was stopped by, guess what? Legionaries.

A bunch of them were outside the town hall. I was terrified. I couldn’t run as they’d obviously kill me. Luckily, for me, the leader of the group only wanted to talk. He said I should ‘spread the word of what I’d seen.’ I didn’t respond. I remained silent; I was too scared for words.

The Legionaries then walked away, headed in the direction I had planned to go.

Instead, I decided to give them a head start and holed myself out in an abandoned house for the evening.

I tried to do some good, exploring the town and looking for survivors… but nothing. The legion had well and truly destroyed this town and it’s community.

It was heart-breaking…

Anyway I better get to sleep now… god knows how I’ll do that considering where I am. I’ll find a way.

Having some time off FO3 now. I spend more time with Oblivion and on these forums. Plus I already racked up a good amount of Quantums and bobbleheads so I´m good for awhile

What exactly to Quantums do again? Aside from that little info nugget from the Nuka Cola can I remember about making your pee glow in the dark, what are the side effects again?

Quantums give you more AP and twice the HP than regular Nuka Cola with less rad. Don´t hold it against me though.. And as you know they can be used for grenades but as The Collector™ I keep ´em in my fridge

Never had any idea you could. I just thought they were Nuka Cola that glowed in the dark

Just to clarify, they do not explode if you just throw them. Nuka Cola Quantum is the key ingredient in constructing Nuka Grenades at the workbench.

Oh, that's a little disappointing; an explosive soft drink strikes me as a totally Fallout. Plus throwing them at enemies like molotove cocktails of sugary goodness sounds hilarious.

Bah.

I don't see what's so funny about that. All I was saying was how hard and vigorously Mirocu had blown me with the revelation of Nuka Cola Quantum being made into grenades.
