. Discussion ThreadWhats this? A player-run TES RP tavern where your characters can drop in for some fun. Celebrate a holiday, plan an adventure, or share a relaxing time with friends. The Wobbly Goblet is located in County Chorrol, and the year is any year. Imagine a place where parallel worlds magically meet. Well use the Tamriel calendar and the real-world date. (So today is Second Seed 16th.) All are welcome! Grits and King Coin are your hosts, so contact us if you have questions. Do I need to sign up or be invited? Nope, just drop in. Post a character sheet here if you like, or link to another one youve used, or just give us a quick description of what your character looks like as they walk in the door. Link to a picture, if you have one. This is an informal meeting space, so we dont need a whole lot of information. So which thread should I use? Whats with all of the WGs?The main thread can be found here: The Wobbly Goblet Playground. Feel free to introduce your character here in the discussion thread and jump right in to the Playground. The threads such as WG Black Rock Caverns are adventures in progress, so you need to contact someone whos posting there to possibly get involved. Sometimes players meet up in the Wobbly Goblet and decide to head out on various escapades together. When that happens they start a new thread. Occasionally we host special events at the Goblet, like the Harvests End Festival. These events run for a certain period of time so that folks have an opportunity to join in. Watch this thread for announcements of upcoming occasions. Code of Conduct: 1. Remember your forum rules. Keep it PG-13, be courteous, no spamming. 2. The tavern thread is for IN character posts. Please keep other discussion in this thread. 3. The Wobbly Goblet is a safe zone for all characters. 4. You only control your own characters. You should not give other players characters actions, lines, thoughts, or move them without the players explicit permission. Very small things like a nod, a grunt, or a word is usually fine, but if the player asks you to edit, then please do so. For example if you and another player go outside and brawl: Thirsty Hair-Back picked up Myelfindil and slammed him to the ground =NO. Thirstys player just controlled the other players character. Thirsty Hair-Back reached out to pick up the annoying elf, hoping to slam him to the ground =OK. Now Myelfindils player can decide what happens to him. 5. NPCs can be used, but posts should not be from their perspective. Your hosts Grits and King Coin will write for the NPCs when necessary. 6. Immediate emergencies should be avoided in the main thread. They can be fun, but they also can place other people in uncomfortable positions. They force people to either drop what they are doing, or else awkwardly find an excuse to not run to someones aid. Roleplaying Guidelines: 1. Each thread is its own story or theme. New stories should have a different thread. Offshoot threads will be governed by the thread starter as they see fit. The Wobbly Goblet main thread doesn't have a story, but a theme. That theme is the inn itself. Posts in the main thread should be in, around, or traveling to or from the inn. 2. If you want to post, you need to keep your post consistent with the current state of the world. Read previous replies, or ask other players to tell you what is happening. 3. Posting in the roleplaying threads should be done with the purpose of interacting with other players characters. Not every post is required to interact with other player characters, but if your posts will never put you in a position to interact with other player characters, then please reconsider the content of your posts so that you can interact. 4. Disputes. We are going to assume that the rules here are being followed unless something looks very off. If your character is used by another player, we will assume they had permission. If this is not the case try talking to the poster. If you are unable to get a favorable response, then let us (Grits or King Coin) know. Any comments? Questions? Post them here. . QUOTE(Grits @ May 23 2013, 07:45 PM) It doesn't have to be that way, DE. That's just Abiene's experience as a healer. Maybe Irvana's is different. I based that idea on the game placing value on healers (through NPC dialog) even though potions and blessings are readily available.
Is Irvana famous enough from her stage career that people would recognize her name? I meant to ask that before anyone introduced themselves to her.
It does make more sense that way. Thanks, Liz. And Grits, I see your point. I come to the same conclusion, too. Though I don't think a girl who was just attacked would feel confortable having people touch her. She was attacked by a vampire! Some would recognize her, yes. She's more known for her nobility, sort of. Not that many people know her name, just the orphan black-haired girl who lives alone in her castle.

No problem. I updated her profile. Name: Irvana. Race: Imperial. Gender: Female Age: Appears in her very early twenties. Home Country: Cyrodiil. Nibenese. Faction and Rank or Guilds: Unknown. Combat skills and talents: "I swing two swords at once!" Irvana learned to swing a sword when she was younger at the foot of her father. She preferred using two swords as she believes it makes sense to strike twice. Both in the offensive, and even on the defensive. Despite claiming she learned some skills, most men and women who see her practicing can see that the girl may not have the experience she sometimes claims to. Eyes: Light. Appearance: Irvana is taller than most women, but isn't outrageously big to tower above everyone. Aside from her height, most who come across her would be attracted and lured by her captivating light eyes, her smile, and of course, her sense of humor and polite manners. But her black hair, flawless white skin and white teeth are one of the few things that bring out a spark in her. There is no doubt she went to great lenghts to appear her best, and her striking good looks alone is something worth noting aside from her outstanding personality. Build: Tall, lithe and athletic. In prime condition. She walks with elegant grace. Weapons of preference: Two sabers, though she doesn't appear as if she could wield them properly and most come to the conclusion that she only has it for show and to try and intimidate others. Magic abilities or powers: "I can cast a fireball and sparks." Irvana has knowledge of destruction spells, and illusion as well. And some arts of magic she acquired. Mental Profile/Personality: Irvana is intelligent and an oustanding actress, and is considered among her friends and allies as a modest and trustworthy young noblewoman. Irvana is seen as an unpretentious, giggling young woman, almost sisterly, with fabulous attires. With her heart-warming demeanor, symbolic smile, and a unblemished reputation for being a humble and warm young woman, she captured the hearts of many people in Cyrodiil in her campaign while in the Imperial City palace. Though she was extremely smart and healthy-looking, she still was considered weak, feeble and lacking physical strength compared to the battle-hardened women in Tamriel, and was known to rely on her persuasive tongue rather than the use of violence. Though she might seem like a clueless young girl at first, Irvana seems to amaze those she meets with her ingenuity and her polite demeanour brings happiness to the hearts of others. She is also a patron of the arts, attending the dramas and plays whenever time permits and surrounding herself with unique expensive statues and decorative antiques, though only her and a handful of people in Tamriel know what they signify. Irvana was also a strategist. Biography: Not much is known about Irvana. She keeps most of her life a secret and only reveals what is nescessary, and this brought about rumors that the young woman was paranoid, as if fearing someone was always after her. This, and despite that when she lived in the Imperial City she always surrounded herself with a cadre of elite guards. Though the truth is Irvana was born and raised in a castle by her two noble parents, who went to great lengths to instill within their daughter intelligence and proper social ettiquete even though she spent most of her youth in her own small library which she considered her own individual realm. During her studied, Irvana acquired a vast knowledge of history and politics and information on the world's lore and myths. Her parents made sure she would be well-prepared mentally to enter the world and pursue her career in life. Aside from her studies, her parents wanted her to succeed in the political field, and Irvana was sent off to the Imperial City to pursue a career in the Imperial Palace as a scholar, and then an aspirant politician. Though along the way she learned to use her talents in dramatic plays, which bolstered her fame in the city. She also joined the guild of mages and helped them thwart a necromancer plot within. Irvana's parents are dead, and she lives alone in a castle she inherited in Cyrodiil and has a habit of venturing out on her own. This post has been edited by Darkness Eternal: May 26 2013, 03:09 AM

QUOTE(King Coin @ May 25 2013, 11:22 PM) I like the pictures you've found DE!
Aravi's crashed, probably for the night lol. Thank goodness she locked the door before her bath.
She looks exactly the same ingame. I'll post an ingame pic of her, too. Yeah. We wouldn't want a vampire sneaking in the inn. Though with our resident vampire hunters, it would be purty stupid. This post has been edited by Darkness Eternal: May 25 2013, 11:26 PM
