So I've just seen on the BBC that there was a 4000 player strong space battle on EVE Online. This is why I like this game, even though I've never played it and never want to (from what I understand, it's a spreadsheet-based beuracratic hell, most of the time); every now and again you hear about some really, really interesting stuff coming out of it.
