Acadian, I have to confess to giggling over that slight deception when I named the picture. biggrin.gif Good spot on the kitty! Abiene has adopted Misty and Echo. They are supposed to be Darnand’s cats, but you know how she is. (Misty and Echo live inside the Wobbly Goblet in D, J, and Lil’s games.)

mALX, it was all the more funny because Baurus the Kind was standing a step or two above Abiene on the stairs when he executed his surprise wardrobe change. For a minute she couldn’t see anything but bare chest.

Niamh is heading west to Crowhaven, searching for vampires and engaging in some quid-pro-quo with an arena orc with ideas of nobility. She could not care less about that, but if pandering to his his delusions is what it takes, then...
Having passed through Fort Dirich, she finds herself in the depths of Talwinque, to the north and east of Kvatch.

She was not planning on coming here, but the most recent attack of the Vampire's Disease is slow to go this time, even with the spells she has woven. Fatigued and nauseous she figures she needs sleep and perhaps a touch of Skooma, just to take the edge off.
First though, before she can rest in the ruins, she needs to be done with their current inhabitants.

Roland Jenseric had better get his act together...

This is a good reminder for me. Lady Saga just cleared Lipsand Tarn of a group of vampires, and I need to remember to have her eat some mandrake next time I am with her. I wouldn't doubt she's been infected. That would suck if she became a vamp; she has no desire for this.

Lol @ the "touch of skooma" bit.

Oh crap! Lil just left a vampire lair. I don't think she got hit in there, but that's a good reminder.

This is one of the reasons I wish they made it a little more obvious when you have a disease. I do not often think to look in the active effects tab. It would be nice if a little icon appeared on the screen when you have a disease, like they do when you use spell buffs.

I like the way Skyrim does it ... the wave of red which occasionally sweeps across the player's vision. I like it because the game informs the player that he/she's infected, but the player stiill might miss the moment when this bit of hand-holding shows up. A bit more challenge this way. But it would be cool the way you're suggesting, too. A character whose got a disease should be able to feel something is wrong, and this feeling would then translate into an icon of communication.

Lady Saga is now in .... um... Shadow's Rest Cavern I think the place is called. Mostly imps in the first section, but dogs and rats in the second. Even though this seems only a nuisance lair, Saga is obsessed with exploring the entire damn place. Never know where an early magical item or a Spell Tome might be found.

Fredas, 7:40 pm, Forst Fall 5, 3E438

Lady Saga is leaving Chorrol, after several days of R&R, buying & selling, mixing up new potions & poisons, and also spell-shopping. She's taken a path none of my others have ever taken: Bound Armor. She noticed (with her poor Conjuration skills) that she can only cast Bound Gauntlets and Bound Boots. Since she wears cheap fur boots, the Bound Boots spell has come in handy here and there.

Eventually she'll start summoning creatures again. That'll be nice.

She and Erthor just cleared Crumbling Mine for the second time. Those bandits never seem to learn their lesson. The pair of wood elves are on their way to the Imperial City next, where Saga plans to fatten her spell book once again.

She decided to pay Erthor for tagging along with her. Despite the fact that she's already got 1856 gold, he only wanted 36 for now. laugh.gif

Well, you think that you know someone...

...So I learned that when Niamh shops, she does it like she does everything else and SHOPS. Following on from dealing with further vampires for Jenseric and sending an awkward letter to Kendral - (Niamh, now happily monogamous is genuinely uncomfortable with the young dunmer's attentions - albeit only hero worship) - she stopped off at the Bottleship Shop, just by Anvil harbour.
A few thousand septims later and she's bought half the shop and amassed a not inconsiderable amount of new clothes, and gone back for more, and exchanged some; and why? Looch, that's why.

It's nice to see her happy and actually just interested in herself and how she looks, Looch's influence is clearly good for her - (particularly since she understands that Niamh is ALWAYS going to be fundamentally Niamh) - personally I hope it lasts, because a crash from this, if it fails, could be catastrophic...
...but I think this is for keeps, and it's not like she can't afford to spend the septims!! biggrin.gif

Richie Rich Niamh biggrin.gif

As it happens, Lothran is resting in the rain on the road between Bravil and Leyawiin. It´s early morning and he´s looking forward to a day or two in the southernmost cyrodiilic town smile.gif

Renee, so glad that Lady Saga still has her puppy Erthor tagging along. As I've said before, not only is he adorable, but pretty effective too.

Phon, I'm glad to see Niamh developing an interest in fashion! I she she's been bitten by the shopping bug!

mirocu, the secret is not learning how to avoid the rain, but how to dance among its raindrops. I love the whole area from Bravil on south. The soft ferns, willows that gently lean over to kiss your shoulders, the warm life provided by Kyne's tears. . . .

*happy sigh*

I´m so with you here smile.gif That whole area is soothing, and the gentle rain just makes it perfect. (In all honesty, I had to use some console magic again to keep it from drying up... wink.gif )

Lothran only came to the Stallion Lodge before darkness fell, so he decided to spend the night there and reach Leyawiin the following morning instead. He might have gotten there sooner as he left Bravil in the early morning, but as the beauty of Cyrodiil kept poking him for attention, he could do nothing else but acknowledge it happy.gif

He even went for a swim just north of Water´s Edge! laugh.gif

Arriving at the Imperial City, she stabled the horse - (another one) - and visited briefly the arena to give the brash Orc in the Bloodworks the "good news" about his family.
Then she stopped at Divine Elegance.

Following that she went to the waterside shack where she had once lived, inside she dug through the detritus of her former life and packed such things as she deemed worth keeping, some clothes and a couple of knives, a few skulls. Once done she stood in the middle of the floor, drove the shadows away by weaving ebs of light through the shack, and looking around came to the realisation that this time she really would not be back to this place.
Ever.

So resolved, she - unusually for her - freshened up in lake and swam until her arms ached and her lungs felt like bursting; then dressing, she left the waterfront with her things, and stopping only to pick up further information from Jenseric, she booked into the Tiber Septim.
It's not like she couldn't afford it...

---

A few days later Luciana received a letter, putting down the mug she was cleaning she opened it, read the by-now familiar scrawl, and smiled.

So Niamh won´t live in her well-ordered schack anymore? Pity. It´s a good place, me think smile.gif

Lothran has enjoyed a fine day in Leyawiin. The weather cleared up nicely after a day with pouring rain and he took the opportunity to visit some shops and some friends smile.gif

Heh, well she will be using the place in Bravil, which given that it will have most of the junk and things from the other place in it is liable to be even messier than it is now!
Don't panic, neither she nor I her narrator have lost the plot...!

Sounds like L had a nice day. smile.gif

He did, and this day too. He was south-east of Leyawiin where he admired some Nirnies and fought off a couple of Azhklans. He also took off his clothes and weapons to go for a swim smile.gif

(Despite my ignorance in the early years, I did leave surprisingly many Nirnroots around that area!)

A lot has happened in Lady Saga's little world. She visited the Imperial City, finally buying Minor Detect Life and a Candlelight spell. In my original playthrough with her on PS3, she had these two particular spells right after her first visit to the I.C., which means the original Saga never had to worry about who's around the corner or using a torch. For the Xbox Saga, adventuring has been more of a struggle

She headed north to Bruma, and left after doing the recommendation there. Next place to go? Cheydinhal. But she did not make it this far.

She decided to take the long way to Cheydinal, dragging Erthor and her new paint horse roughly east and southeast through the Jerall mountains. rolleyes.gif They raided a small bandit camp, and then climbed a hill to the top of a mountain. While doing some cell phone pictures, I noticed what looked to be a stone wall on the top of the hill behind my elf. It did not look like Imperial stone, it did not look like a fort. huh.gif

Getting a closer look, I realized Saga must have discovered the wizard's tower! smile.gif Frostcrag Spire. biggrin.gif Neat stuff! The place is unfurnished, and after teleporting down the the I.C., Saga was dismayed to find that the things she'll need to get the spell altars working cost a LOT of money, and she has nowhere near this kind of money. But it'll be interesting to see if she will get her custom-made spells & enchantments from the Mage's Guild or Frostcrag. Hmmm....

Phon, sounds like Niamh's gonna need a bigger house!

mirocu, so glad Lothie's enjoying the Leyawiin area but sorry we missed his swimming. Those Ashcan trolls are great for stuffing grand soul gems. I figure Buffy's one of the guild's best supplier of filled gsg's - not a job for the faint of heart.

Renee, so glad that dear Erthor is still tagging along with Saga! Ah yes. I honestly think it takes more time and effort to get the Sprire up and running than to get into the AU. Close enough anyway that for me it always boiled down to an RP choice. For my little gregarious elf, the choice was easy, since Frostcrag can be a cold and lonely place - great place to visit though!
