Yes, mirocu, she found the spire. I am glad we managed to find it without any spoilers, too. It always makes the moment of discovery that much more special-er. Like I said, I took a few cell phone pics, so I'll eventually get those up. QUOTE(Acadian @ Aug 11 2013, 09:14 PM) Renee, so glad that dear Erthor is still tagging along with Saga! Ah yes. I honestly think it takes more time and effort to get the Sprire up and running than to get into the AU. Close enough anyway that for me it always boiled down to an RP choice. For my little gregarious elf, the choice was easy, since Frostcrag can be a cold and lonely place - great place to visit though!
That's kinda the way Saga feels. She might eventually get the Altars working, but she has no desire to live there. It's too remote and cold. Might be a great place for a future playthrough/another character, though. I have a feeling she's gonna finish her recommendations, since she's already half-done with them. By that time, she might actually have the gold neccessary to get Frostcrag up-and-running, but for some reason I see her using the Arcane Uni more often mostly because of all the NPCs there. It's weird. Even though she's somewhat anti-social, neither is she the storybook type of sorcerer who closes herself up in a remote tower to develop all sorts of arcanities.

I'm not convinced the whole "settling down" thing is entirely for her. I've a suspicion a compromise will be found, one way or another. She's already bored and planning a trip to the Shivering Isles; first though there's an outstanding job for Jenseric and a few other loose ends to clear up. Looch knew this to start with, fortunately, and for all that she'd be glad of her presence, she's equally well aware that a frustrated and grumpy Niamh is not going to be doing anyone any good... ...I guess it's going to be letters sent from afar for a while, again.
--
[edit]: So she finally got kicked out. But in a good way. "Go, Niamhy. Go do your things." Looch looked into the other's dark eyes. "You won't be happy lest you do, and I won't be, if you don't." Niamh looked at her. "Are ye sure?" "Yes. Go and kill the vampires; go and see The Isles." She put her hands on the Elf's shoulders. "Do the things you need to do." There was a pause, then; "Thank ye, Looch." Whispered Niamh. Luciana grinned, then prodded the Bosmer's nose with the tip of a finger, "Two conditions." "Name 'em." "Come Back, and when you do, bring me back something nice from The Isles." Luciana Grinned. Niamh Smiled at her; "Ai Wull see what ai ken do." She said, and turned to grab her things. -- "Oh," said the Breton, "an' say hi to Cutter...!" Niamh just grinned...

So Niamh, having inadvisedly drunk a bottle or human blood, which has resulted in some curious physical and latterly mental changes, is currently in the Isles. Having discovered what had happened when she came round - (see screenshots) - she panicked and literally skipped town. Commonsense has reasserted itself though, now. She needs to tell Looch, and needs to see what if anything can be done... ...although having said that, in the couple of days since it happened, she actually feels better than she has in years. Also, there's the thing about her teeth... (regular readers will recall various things pertaining to our heroines dentition, her mysterious early past, attitude to vampires, and an encounter with a patriarch who let her go... Hmmm).

It was a very exciting day for Kjestrid. There’s a rumor circulating about a Strange Door in Niben Bay, but frankly she’s not interested in what’s going on that far south. She did find a nice cottage with a very interesting occupant. Here’s a picture of her appreciating the view (with Flekk). Inside she enjoyed a chat with Morcant over sweetrolls and a pot of Argonian White Tea. Morcant explained that the practice of Witchcraft in Cyrodiil has much in common with the traditions of Valenwood. Kjestrid shared her own Old Ways, guardian spirits and shield magicks not taught by the Mages Guild. Kjestrid has earned the protection of Wolf. Kjestrid plans to return to Morcant on a regular basis to trade alchemy ingredients from the snow zone. She looks forward to swimming in the warm waterfalls, sharing news of the north with a kindred spirit, and hopefully more sweetrolls and tea. Kjestrid was not meant to be a conjurer, but the summonings from SubRosa’s Witchcraft mod fit beautifully with my notion of Kjestrid’s old Nord ways. Now game Kjestrid is much closer to the real (which is to say imagined) one. Thank you, SubRosa!

Glad to hear that Witchcraft is helping Kjestrid be the Seiðr worker she is supposed to be.

Kjestrid is a Nord ranger, which I guess is officially called a Scout. She lives in Bruma and spends a lot of time wandering around there. Her income is from alchemy and the very few Fighters Guild jobs she’s gone on. I generally make up jobs for her and then pretend the cash she gets for loot is her pay. Most of her character updates would be “Kjestrid walked around in the snow gathering ingredients. She shot two bandits. Got home before dark.” She has a serene disposition, so she’s fun to play interspersed with some of my troublemakers. Though I suspect things might change if she started working with a follower. Hmm…

QUOTE(Grits @ Aug 16 2013, 07:09 PM) Since 7/30/11, level 6. (I had to look it up.)
Wow, I don't know this one. Well, goody. Well, so my Fallout 3 main character, Marge N. Overra, is having a rough game, and this is on the Easy setting. Lady Saga on the other hand, is simply steam-rolling through. She found an Ayleid ruin called Belda, filled with scamps and Conjurers. This ruin yielded her fourth spell tome (a Cold Touch spell that she'll never add to her book, she doesn't do Destruction), but also something very rare: a Base Amulet of Reflection! 14% magic reflect, folks. Hello. And that's not all; she also found Harm's Folly, a place I am certain I've never been before, despite its not-so-hard-to-find location. She's now in Exhausted Mine, plucking down goblins one by one. "YAAAAA!"Saga also made it to Level 4: and I put +5 in Intelligence, +5 in Willpower, and +2 in Endurance.
