I'm getting made fun of by my coworkers for having a southern accent. In Texas. This is why I curb it. I'm really sensitive about my stupid accent, and they won't let up. I keep having to speak a little slower so there's no trace, and every tome I catch myself I turn red.

It isn't that big of a deal, though, honestly. An accent is perfectly normal. I have speech issues greater than yours! Accents are nothing bad. Politely tell them to go [censored] themselves. Nicely.

I have to agree with DE here. I think they are teasing you because they have discovered it embarrasses you and they are getting a reaction with it. If they stop getting a reaction, they will stop.
