Early this morning Lothran decided to head out and do some treasure hunting. The two new spells he recently made dug a deep hole in his pocket and he needs at least some Septims in order to recharge his gear. Two places came up on his agenda; one Ayleid ruin (Sardavar Leed) and one fort (Alessia). He didn´t clear them out completely though, only the first floor/room and that was enough. He amassed so many armor parts and weapons he suddenly couldn´t move any longer! At that moment he was glad he had kept his Beast of Burden spell which made his muscles much stronger than normal. Besides selling all that in the Imperial City the same afternoon he continued his coronation tour with close to twenty more royalties. Oh, and prior to that he also visited Cropsford where same rituals were performed (Soon enough there won´t be any mortal left in Lothran´s Cyrodiil!) Hah, Alvar ran into one my favourite glitch for Atronach characters. He walked into the Chorrol Chapel for a blessing to restore his magicka, and found the Dunmer who's usually walking around near the Oak and Crosier activating one of the lesser shrines. Again And again And again. Free refills!! So he took the opportunity to get in some practice, bumping his alteration skill(a minor) from 25 to 35, and restoration(a major) from 30 to 35. Then he took a look around Crumbling Mine, which took a little finding. For some reason it doesn't seem to be marked in the right place. He killed the bandits there, but considering how many potions he went through, health and magicka, he pretty much got his ass handed to him. Well, you know what they say... Any one you can walk away from. @Mirocu: Still running around making everyone essential? You need to learn to let go. Then you can start a new character This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Oct 23 2013, 11:20 PM

Oh wow, I didn't know about this glitch you speak of, CT. QUOTE @Mirocu: Still running around making everyone essential? You need to learn to let go. Then you can start a new character I've tried. Believe me, I've tried. I have a feeling that someday he'll eventually crumble and create character #2, but it's going to take a lot of Willpower and maybe a bit of Charming to convince the Talking Crow.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 24 2013, 08:37 AM) QUOTE(Rohirrim @ Oct 24 2013, 03:17 AM) I started singing "Kahreem of Weet" to the tune of Amazing Grace out of boredom, am then I finally got the joke. I just stood there and kept saying "oooooooohhhhh" out loud Actually, I could use some insight here. What´s the joke? There's always a joke in Renee's character names. This one is, I believe; Cream of wheat I didn't get it until just now, because of what Rohirrim said. I really wish he hadn't said it. I know, but I still don´t understand this one. What is cream of wheat? It's a breakfast cereal similar to oatmeal (but not as 'grainy'). It's got a smooth texture made from wheat. I love it; have had it at least once a week since I was a kid. Or maybe once every other week. Mmm. Some people put strawberries or blueberries or mangos or (whatever) in their CoW, but I just prefer good ol' butter + brown sugar. Mmm. Anyways, BOT. Kahreem of Weet has just killed Alval Uvani. He's spent a lot of time in Leyawiin, and was eager to leave to go back north to Bravil (where he's been living in City Swimmer's home), but now that he's got Uvani's housekey, he's curious which door it opens. :whistling: This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Oct 24 2013, 05:58 PM

QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 25 2013, 01:57 PM) As night fell Lothran decided to revisit the old cave just outside Talos Plaza district. As is his custom nowadays when revisiting old places, he went in with all covers blown, courtesy the Starlight spell, and with no holding back on the stomp-stomp-stomp. He came out with a few weapons to sell and some coins that were laying on the ground in the first room. He has of now amassed around 14000 Septims which will come in handy when his weapons have to be recharged at The Mystic Emporium before his journey up to Bruma. Only 14k? don't your pockets feel a little light?

I hope Jerric and his entourage had a fun day celebrating in the Imperial City But maybe they should cut down on the ale, starting to see things, they are -------- Lothran is preparing to leave for Aleswell in a couple of weeks. Lots to do before then, I can assure you. Coronations, talking to people, visiting the many inns and last but not least, racking up those Septims to recharge his many weapons, including the one he will use as his main during his travels up north. Oh, yeah! That´s right! He hasn´t decided which weapon he´ll use to vanquish his foes with yet during the upcoming trip!

Renee, you and Kahreem the Breakfast Boy have our thanks for taking out that nasty Alval. Grits, I hope Jerric and Co had a great trip to the IC! I'm going over to the other thread to look for the screenies! mirocu, I see Lothie is going through his final preps before he heads north to hunker down for the winter in his precious Bruma. Any of his weapons should work fine. . . well, maybe not Snowflake as a main weapons. Buffy just spent several days being bored in my world as we traveled away from home. Upon our return, she wasted not a moment diving right back into a long list of awaiting dungeons and reveling in some long range shadowy slayage. She gets cranky when she doesn't get to use her bow and, well, the powerful weapon was not exactly made for hunting deer and rabbit.

Poor Buffy I can only imagine her boredom in this world which I would classify not fit for elven consumption But she gave me an idea! Maybe Lothran should use a bow too on his journey up to Bruma? Mind you, he does love close combat with the shield and all... We´ll see what he says. After all, the bow is Buffy´s trademark!

I'll bet Lothran would make a great bowmer! But doesn't he know how to cast strong lightning bolts and stuff? Buffy uses her bow partly because she was born to it, but also in part because her destructive skill with the elements is so poor. When she chills an ale for Lothie or lights a campfire, that is about as deadly as her fire/ice/lightning gets. Well, Lothie well knows this, since the weak frost enchantment on Snowflake is the best Buffy could manage.
Buffy's only real skill in destruction is weakness to poison; Boderi Farano drilled that into her as both essential to a mystic archer and as a way to help Buffy pass her destruction classes at University. Fortunately, drain attribute (like speed) was moved by the Board of Arcane Academics from the school of destruction to where it belongs - illusion, since it acts by controlling the mind - if you stop the mind, the body ain't goin' anywhere. As a grandmaster of illusion, Buffy can easily bring the mind of a foe to a complete temporary stop - very handy!
Speaking of destruction, Buffy does have a new destruction spell! I'm afraid that it's no more potent than her others, but what it lacks in lethality, I think it makes up for with cleverness: Frost damage 3 x 1 second x 100 feet. She casts it into an area where she sees the pink glow of a single foe that she can't get a clean shot from safe distance (like right around a corner or over in a tight cubbyhole type area. She backs off and casts that spell. Her foe gets mad and comes running - right toward the business end of her bow. It's been quite useful to help her keep that priceless distance that she craves.
Oh, so Buffy's just getting ready to leave Sercen at the top of the Red Ring Road. She just came down from Bruma. When on that route, she and Superian often spend the night inside that Ayleid Ruin. Bandits seem to like the small ruin, but they don't share well at all so Buffy has to invite them to leave before she and Superian can enjoy their hospitality and cooking fire inside. She's now going to ride Superian across the surface of Lake Rumare to the Imperial Isle and make her way (via a couple dungeons of course) home to her wonderful apartment at the University.
