I just learned something new & interesting. In the vanilla game, most NPCs (the random ones, anyways) respawn in exactly the same spot on which they died. This creates some interesting situations. If I take the time to drag an enemy, they will stay wherever I put them. I have not tested this yet to see if it's true, but it certainly explains a few things--like the multiple enemies which kept respawning in front of Megaton. These enemies were mostly radscorps and a variety of giant ants. They'd all respawn after 3 days, and this is why Deputy Weld kept getting his @$$ handed to him. Anyways, assuming this is true, what I'll start to do is (for instance) remove the raiders Marge encountered above one of the subway stations completely away from their safe hiding spot. In theory, they'll respawn far away from this spot, meaning my next character will be able to just utilize it as a free storage place. Also, if this is true, it means I'll be able to drag two differing types of enemies (like raiders and super-mutants) near one another. When my next character shows up, BOOM! They're too busy fighting each other (wearing their health down) and all I'll have to do is wait until the fighting's done. I realize that this is a bit of a cheat, but you know what? I don't care. Let's have some fun. I have a pretty good idea for my next character. I'm giving it a bit of time, but he should be a good one once I've got a few things sorted out. QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 25 2013, 03:08 AM) What you do in Margeīs game wonīt affect your next characterīs game. So if I read your post correctly, what you suggested wonīt work since itīll be a whole new game which means everything resets.
You misunderstand, Talking Crow; I know Marge's game is seperate from any others I create. I mean, c'mon! My new character (whose name will probably be Mike Hunt) will encounter enemies. Let's say there are Raiders, located in a rather tough hideout area. He'll kill these raiders, and once they're dead, I will try dragging the bodies away. What this means: the next time Mike heppens to walk by this hideout area, not only will the raiders not be there, but Mike will be able to utilize this spot for his own. QUOTE Itīll be interesting to see your new character. But you have Marge on PC, right? How ībout a few more pixies of her before she retires? No, Marge's game is on Xbox. I'm not playing Fallout 3 on PC at all, I like the vanilla game just as it is. But I'll see if I can get some more pix of her. She is rather photogenic.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 25 2013, 03:01 PM) īt have believed that! But to me it sounded like you did and... Well, lets move on, shall we? Sure. By the way, which name do you like better? .. Mike Hunt or Major Prick? .. my next FO3 char. will be either an ass, or an ass with a military background of some sort. And by 'military', I mean like one of those idiots who is not actually in the military, but he goes around collecting guns and camoflauge gear and pretends he's in the military. We have this sort of stereotype here in America, people who are slightly wacked in the head who think they are military, or they like to pretend they are. They have bunkers and stash way too many weapons (more than is considered for personal use). And of course, it's always "God" who tells them to commit any atrocious acts. David Koresh is an example here. I know this is a pretty wacky idea for a RP, but heh heh, I'm a pretty wacky roleplayer sometimes. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Oct 26 2013, 03:47 PM

LOl @ video. I am picturing him kinda young, and actually in the vanilla game we're stuck with 19 year-olds for our character. I am picturing my Major to be young, with a small moustache. Probably dark hair, and Caucasian. I have this picture in my head of an actor who looks just like the guy I'm gonna create, but I don't know this actor's name. I love it (by the way) when y'all pitch in with helpful ideas. Well whatever his name is, I've got the day to myself tomorrow (finally) and it's supposed to be sunny. Fallout 3 is my 'sunny day' game, so I'm definitely starting my new one tomorrow. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Oct 26 2013, 07:50 PM

Sorry, but I really can't resist this: Sounds like you're new character's this close *holds finger and thumb a certain disance apart* from being an asshole. Edit: Has nobody here seen Small Soldiers? Major Hazard. Well, Major Chip Hazard in the film, but close enough. This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Oct 27 2013, 11:04 PM

I haven't played ANYTHING for the past month as my Xbox has broken! I am absoloutley gutted But... before it broke Capitol Wasteland Eva Bree was doing something inspired by very wise man... for her own amusement she was collecting Nuka Cola Quantums! She had gathered 5 (she'd only just started ) when my Xbox had killed itself It was so much fun!
