QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 29 2013, 12:08 PM) Well, pay me enough in advance and Iīll be right over! Actually I donīt think Iīll get paid for this. I mean, I think he will pay me but I know him and heīs a good guy and I donīt wanna take his money just for this. Idk, feels greedy Donīt wanna be a needy baby, greedy baby! I see what you are saying - but then again, you have bills to pay. It is kind of a trade-off, he might have to pay someone if you weren't helping him. I've learned with friends/neighbors to just make whatever I do for them a gift in my own mind - where I ask/expect absolutely nothing whatsoever in return. That way if they every pay anything it is a welcome surprise and there is never a feeling between us of a "debt due." That way the friendship stays intact, and if the "favor" is too large I can always say no instead of doing it.

Yup @mALX - I never did expect anything, he brought the subject of payment up himself. If he does wanna pay me then thatīs fine, or maybe I could take one or two things he has no use for, that he also suggested. Weīll see This post has been edited by mirocu: Oct 29 2013, 05:27 PM

Weīll see Yeah, and not just karma (but it keeps the priority on the friendship and not money/"you owe me X"/etc). I like those kind of deals, because they keep the human equation above the monetary one. This post has been edited by mALX: Oct 29 2013, 05:45 PM

QUOTE(Black Hand @ Oct 29 2013, 04:59 PM) Actually, strictly speaking Karma is merely action and consequence, as Dharma is merely cause and effect. Karma is 'conscious' Dharma. Siddhartha Gotama never applied a mystical sense to either concept.
So doing something expeciting the universe to give you something good in return, is a form of maya: 'false consciousness', also not truly altruistic in it's intentions.
But, doing good with the hope and intention of making the world a better place, that is in fact it's own reward.
Or not, just an opinion really.
*Reads* I think I preferred it when you were quoting the Joker Why so serious?

QUOTE(Black Hand @ Oct 29 2013, 02:23 PM) Incorrect, I am afraid young student. The blow of enlightenment upon your crown chakra has left you delusional.
It shall pass. Then the pain of truth shall bring you to reality.
Huh? Are you talking to me? *mALX turns green, grows to giant proportions and rips shirt off* "ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?"

I was addressing Thorn. The one who fails to grasp Ta Kwan Leap.
Look up Ed Gruberman and boot to the head.
"Oh...whew!" *mALX shrinks back to normal size, pulls raggedy remains of shirt back on, turns back to flesh colored* "Sorry about that..." This post has been edited by mALX: Oct 29 2013, 08:11 PM

Squirrel of the month club?
I mean, who's going to admit they subscribed to that? Bluffing it out is a much better alternative.
