I also used to take ants from one anthill and throw them in another anthill and watch the other ants tear that one any apart. I have done the same thing. Red ants always win even with lower numbers. If you're doing something to observe the outcome, it is science. Yay, someone supports me lol This post has been edited by King Of Beasts: Mar 19 2014, 12:29 AM

Drowsiness is a side effect, so at like 8:30am I sat down to put my shoes on and woke up at half 11

Fortunately mine just disappeared years ago. Trust me, there is no hell like having both asthma and hayfever. Breathing can be virtually impossible

QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Mar 18 2014, 11:56 PM) Why?
There's a thread about a nine year old kid who was bullied for taking a My Little Pony backpack to school. The school banned the backpack. Then the thread turned to the subject of bullying in general, and now there are people arguing that the victim is to blame, at least in part. And that's a blanket statement on bullying in general, not just about the kid. I find that deeply depressing... EDIT: LOKI'S TWISTED SCROTUM!!! It's gotten worse. Now the same people are actually saying that a woman dressed provocatively is partly to blame if something happens to her. Sometimes I really hate the internet This post has been edited by Callidus Thorn: Mar 19 2014, 01:07 AM

Callidus, welcome to the world of why things need to change.
When I was assaulted by a boy at school, the first thing I was asked was "Did you wear THAT shirt? Well what do you except if your boobs are hanging out?"
That's the first thing rape victims are asked. "What were you doing? Were you drinking? Well maybe if you weren't wearing that skirt/dress/all that makeup, are you sure you didn't flirt?"
And when a kid is bullied, it's "Well what were you doing? Did you wear those shoes/backpack/shirt? Well if you're gonna wear that, you'll get picked on."
We live in a victim-blaming society, and instead of teaching the little sh*tty kids to be more compassionate, the adults are bent on defending their behaviour and not fixing the problem.
And I get a lot of [censored] for this, but I'm a feminist. Not a bra-burning, man-hating, non-shaving feminazi. A feminist. I want people to be treated equally, not based on race, gender, sexuality, social status, what have you. But based on that we're human being.
This isn't just the internet. Look at American candidates for president and governors and the like. One said if a woman gets pregnant while raped, it wasn't really rape because "the body has ways of shutting that down."
The world is a battlefield, and it's really difficult to survive when you know the enemy can be anyone.

Thus far it's been restricted to politics for me. And it's people that need to change. That's even harder to accomplish. And worse still, people think their viewpoints are completely rational when they're defending them. This sort of thinking is so [censored] up it makes me wonder how people can be so mind-numbingly stupid. I thought feminists these days were hypocrites who want to be treated equally when it suits them and still get preferential treatment because they're women? The ones that manage to get into the news always seem to be. What you've described just sounds like common sense to me. Its not like there's any reason that people shouldn't be treated equally, the only justification people seem to have is age-old prejudices that had no legitimacy to begin with, but they still seem to think it's enough. What the-? Someone actually said that? Stupidity has reached pandemic levels. QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Mar 19 2014, 12:23 AM) The world is a battlefield, and it's really difficult to survive when you know the enemy can be anyone.
There I disgree. The world isn't a battlefield. People are just lacking in humanity these days. The human race is devolving, mentally and socially. It's equal parts tragic and pathetic. Tragic because no one seems to be able to do anything to stop it. And pathetic because some people actually want it.

lol, the law protects the bad these days.
Don't get me started on bullying. It's ALWAYS the victim's fault in the school's eyes. They teach kids To inform an adult if they're getting bullied but the response is:
"Oh, but you're not being bullied."
"Oh, you should to be wearing or doing that!"
"Oh, you were being too provocative, you started this!"
It sickens me. People needs to learn to teach their little brats not to bully instead of making the victim change their ways!
There's also female discrimination, gay rights, and much more where the damn victim is always being blamed for the bully's actions.
For gods sake, if your child is bullying another child, you better damn well take a wooden spoon to his ass!
NOT INTO! Just to his ass lol

I subscribe to the original idea of feminism. Not the bull that's peddled off these days by the sensationalist media. I believe each body is their own, and I have no right to police another person's body, and they have no right to mine. I feel like a man making decisions on a woman's body and how to conduct herself is not okay. I would never tell a man how he SHOULD be doing things, how he SHOULD be taking care of himself, and frankly the fact that politicians are more genitalia-crazed than a nympho in a whorehouse says a lot about the government over here. Public health my ass. There are more important things going on in the world, and we're so stuck on basic rights and freedoms that we're all blinded by what's really going on.
