QUOTE(McBadgere @ Apr 5 2014, 11:11 AM) ...And in a very strange coincidence, he looks not unlike Jared Padeleki... ...I didn't set out to do that, Jared looks like an elf. Besides the stubble, his face would be easy to create in OB I think. Lady Saga just left Gottlesfont Priory. I am happy to finally see shadows in her game, this way she can always tell which way she's going. Saga left Gottlesfont Priory and saw a giant in the distance. She was able to avoid it by sneaking. She managed to find a road, and took this to Skingrad, but I'm not ready to see Skingrad / BC. I think I'll save that one for last. Saga likes Anvil better, anyways. One of her favorite places to stay is Lord Drad's Manor. She gives Lord or Lady Drad some coin, and I RP that she's able to rent one of the slave houses this way. This is a great, scenic place to live. She went into Cursed Mine and took care of several bandits in there while doing her best to keep their dogs alive. She did this by using Control spells, making the dog follow her behind a door. She'd then close this door so when the spell wears off, the dog can't attack her. Anyways, she managed to find a large, mostly Argonian adventuring party. These were fighting the enemies found in Cursed Mine, so Saga had very little to do here. Somehow, all the Adventurers wound up dead except for one: an Argonian Novice Spellsword. Saga hired this lizard for almost a day, but after leaving Cursed Mine, he got pwned when he was dual-attacked by a bandit and a timber wolf at the same time. Still though, she's getting better at keeping these Adventurers alive. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Apr 6 2014, 03:38 AM

Yay for Brother Tharryn! Jared does have an elfin look. It sounds like Lady Saga is finding her way in a more dangerous Cyrodiil. It must be neat to find other adventurers inside caves and ruins. In Cheydinhal Jerric got a piece of news that made him drag Darnand back to Anvil immediately. Lildereth wrote to ask if he would take a long walk with her. The borders were open again (Iliana’s Elsweyr Anequina mod) and she wanted to go to Elsweyr. Darnand was more than happy to be left out of this adventure. He has things to do. Indoor things with no dirt or sand. So Lildereth and NPC Jerric (we’re in Lil’s game now) threw some supplies into a bag and headed up the Gold Road. Here they’re still in the West Weald about to walk across the northern tip of Valenwood. Crossing that bridge started the journey for Lil. She took a moment to let the Nord know what this meant to her. Thankfully this is Jerric and he doesn’t need an explanation. She couldn’t have spoken right then if she tried. There was another emotional moment on the way over the mountain when both Kvatch and Arenthia (where Lil lived for a time after the Five Year War) lay below. They couldn’t actually see Arenthia but she knew it was there. Jerric shed his very heavy and slightly silly looking armor at the top. Despite the lack of trees Lil feels pretty peaceful. It has occurred to her that they may be underprepared for the weather. Jerric already looks a little sunburned. She’s going to get some practice with her new healing spell.

The raggedly armoured man slumped over, his eyes glassy. The blood pooled under him from the deep wound in his side suggested he’d been sat there for some time before I’d found him. At that time he’d been barely conscious, eyes wild, rambling on about horrors beyond the white marbled door down some nearby steps. The undead, it seemed, had taken Fanacasecul. I had been nearby – an overnight stop at the Wawnet Inn resulting in the task of assisting a fisherman with his slaughterfish scales problem – and my journey along the westward road passed the Ayleid ruin. A faint noise, not so much a yell for help as wordless cry of desperation had stopped me. I’d walked cautiously towards the towering white walls, knowing them to be a haven for ne’er-do-wells. Not that, you understand, they could do me much harm – there’s plenty that’s tried, and failed – but still, it only takes one lucky shot. A second wail turned me towards the eastern wall. I’d found the man, I want to say bandit here, but he could just have been some hapless treasure hunter. Anyway, he’d gripped my arm with both his hands and words like, “Please help me.” were disjointedly followed by “Ghost”, “Zombie” and “Sorry.” Had I been able to help him, I would have. I’ve a decent skill at healing but… And so, he died. Whoever he was. I drew my silver sword, retrieved some potions from my pack, and before heading inside, I knelt and offered up some prayers to the Nine. One for the recently departed, and one for the hope that I wouldn’t be following him in the very very near future; or worse, be trapped down there; become the latest undead resident to haunt the once mighty Ayleid fortress… ------------------------------------------------------ So, today we've been to Stinkhole Cavern...I think it's called anyways...Then round to Weye and the Slaughterfish quest thing...I think there was something else, but I forget what...Oh, probably just the selling and waiting around... Oh!...No, I spammed my Alteration up, because I couldn't find the lowest level feather spell...*Sighs happily*...Ahhh, the ease burden spells...How I have missed thee... ...But anyways, I could find the next level up one...So I repeatedly tried to open an easy lock with an open very easy spell so that Tharryn could actually start to be able to carry a decent amount... Oh, and, of course, the Ayleid ruin in the thingy above...Trying to work out if I should work on a story or not...Hmmmm...Hey-ho... Levelling up has been all about balance, so far...We're trying to get everything above 50...Once there, we'll worry about his strength, intelligence and personality more... Still, we'll worry about keeping playing first... ... This post has been edited by McBadgere: Apr 6 2014, 12:17 PM

Renee – Loves G. Priory. Very clever use of spells by Saga. Grits – So glad to see Elsweyr now within Lil’s range. Yes, there is a peace in the desert and I know Lil will soon agree. For those who know where to look, there is plenty of water. And plenty of life – most of it fast, unpredictable and hostile. And some wonderful shopping. Buffy tends to travel at night – it is cooler and pink glows show up in the pale desert ever so much better. And watch out for sand storms – they can last for two or three days. McB – Nice to hear of Tharryn’s adventures. Stinking slaughterfish. * After leaving the Chorrol area, Buffy headed south – clearing dungeons and camping as needed as she went. Gottlesfont was a welcome night with some real sheets, and clearing marauders from the nearby fort was but small repayment to the kind Sisters of Charity. She’s back briefly (probably one night) at the University.

McB: I loved that little bit you wrote. Short and sweet, but still well done. It's the well-crafted pieces that capture moments in the game that capture my attention (and imagination). They don't have to go anywhere, but be whole and complete in themselves. And my friend, you have accomplished just that right here! Acadian: It looks like I'm going to miss out on Elseweyr, as I can't find the Anequina mod. I can find dozens of mods for Anequina, but not the original. I am looking at a couple of Hammerfell mods and one for Valenwood (Julian would like to go back there sometime). Unfortunately the Valenwood one seems to need the Anequina one to make the experience the best it can be.

haute, I found Elsweyr Anequina (March 2014) here. I’ve been searching for this one and for Kvatch Rebuilt for ages. In other mod news it looks as if Kvatch Rebuilt 3 is in beta. I am beside myself with excitement. No patch for Valenwood Improved and the new Elsweyr Anequina yet, so my Valenwood is just the one you walk through in the way to Elsweyr.

Oooh!! They added Rimmen! I may have to get that version and go see. Another thing to stop me finishing all my Skyrim projects.

So far I'm enjoying it, only thing is, Savlian still doesn't become the Count! I wish that were an option in this mod! Otherwise it is an awesome mod. I am using TK's Toggle LOD mod to fix the flickering in the Kvatch city as seen from the Gold Road. I also have Reclaiming Sancre Tor, but haven't started that quest yet. So now I can start exploring beyond the borders of Cyrod! Thanks for the linky! I can go and play there! I will have to see how it works alongside Valenwood Improved. Maybe that's where I'll learn how to make a game patch (SubRosa's Witchcraft mod doesn't do well with the UL Cheydinhal Falls - another reason I dumped the UL mods - I'd rather keep Morcant!) I enjoyed reading it, please continue. It's interesting because when you speak as McBadgere, you have some very specific speech patterns that you often use, but your character's story was told in a different voice. He spoke slower and more deliberately, it seemed.

Tarvyn Dralor has joined the Mages Guild at Chorrol. As a result he now has some actual clothes, left by those moved on by Traven's reshuffle. Not that he's complaining, they're clean, and it's more than he'd have gotten from House Telvanni. He's also discovered that the Chapels are effectively off-limits to him. He doesn't know why, but just being in one makes his skin crawl...
He spent the morning catching up on lost sleep, and the afternoon practising alchemy, before turning in early. In the morning he intends to see about obtaining his recommendation.

I have prepared a few updates recently, having them more in-depth. This is from Monday's game with Lissa... _____ Lissa, still in Bravil with Anyanka, decided to take Anyanka out to check out an Aliyed ruin nearby. This was quite exciting for both Lissa and I. Lissa rarel get's some one-on-one adventure time with Anyanka since their main mission was completed a year ago. Anyanka is now in charge of the Bravil Mages guild chapter since Kud-Ei's unfortunate death.* Walking through Bravil to the city gate, Lissa can't help but think about the state that the city was in. Surely despite the fact it was arguably one of the poorest cities in Tamriel... did it have to be so disgusting. Blood and rotting corpses were everywhere, hookers on every street. She wondered why Anyanka would want to stay in Bravil... but they probably didn't have a choice.** Once out of Bravil it was only a short walk to the ruin in question. Outside the ruin the girls managed to save an adventurer from a rather feisty ogre. "Thank you!" The Khajiiti adventurer, who introduced her self as Dra'Kesch, elated. "Maybe I will see you again and return the favour!". After Dra'Kesh departed, the girls entered the ruin.*** Lissa decided to scout ahead, thinking that with her stealth abilities she would be able to scan the area to see if it's safe without being spotted. She found herself on a balcony overlooking the ground floor. "Hmph... no way down..." She thought. However, before she could even spot the creature, Lissa almost found herself overwhelmed by a Will-o-The-Wisp upon entry, causing her to fall off a banister into the ruins lower sanctums. She quickly shot up and fired her bow, killing the dangerous orb with no less than three arrows. "Are you okay?" Anyanka asks, panicked, now on the balcony after rushing to aid the screaming Redguard. "Yeah. Think I've bruised a rib, but I'm fine." Lissa assures her, brushing herself off. "Can you get down here?" Anyanka notes the height of the fall, "No. I refuse to risk my life. I am not as spry as you." Anyanka then looked about, spotting only a single door, which was locked, "The door to the lower levels is locked. It seems it can be unlocked from the other side." This meant Lissa had to traverse through the ruin alone. "Great. Wish me luck!" She moaned. However, despite her dangerous first encounter, she barely had any trouble after this, fighting off a few minotoars, will-o-the-wisps and ogres; not too much trouble for her now she was aware of them; stealth attacks did the trick. However, when she reached the door Anyanka spoke of, she was attacked by a land draugh. "Oh dear..." She muttered. The land draugh was too quick to fight with her bow, Artemis, so her warhammer, Shatterheart had to do. It was an epic and dangerous fight, but Lissa was victorious. She was eventually reunited with Anyanka, unlocking a door near the entrance to the ruin with a switch, and they travelled deeper into the ruin. Unfortunately for Lissa, who was excited for a complex ruin, found the deeper part of the ruin led to only a couple rooms and a pile of treasure guarded by a Minotaur Lord. Amongst the treasure, however, she found an Elemental ring, which provides her with 20% resistance to fire, ice and lightning. She is happy with this reward for all the trouble she endured. Upon leaving the ruin, Lissa felt the desire to relax, perching herself on a rock outside the ruin for a brief moment, needing to unwind. She returned Anyanka to the guild hall and then left some flowers by Kud-Ei's gravestone. She will spend the night at the guild hall, then decide her next move. She will either go home, or visit Mazoga in Leyawiin. ----- * - a long time ago Lissa escorted Kud-Ei to the IC, but on the way back Kud-Ei was overwhwelmed by an Ogre. Traven decided to let Anyanka, with the agreement of the other Bravil Guild members, take over. ** - I am using Better Cities, which drastically changed how Bravil looked. Personally, I do not like it. However, for the sake of the fact that I cannot change it it will have to do. A bonus to the new Bravil, however, is the new harbour it adds. *** I have a Roaming NPC mod which adds a variety of Merchants, adventurers, battlemages etc to the game world, wondering about. When I find one I set them essential and name them.

@Everyone...Now that I'm back on Cyrodiil, I'm thoroughly enjoying everyone else's stories too... @Renee...Ta very much...I'm slowly getting Tharryn's voice...One of these days I'll get the time to do something worthwhile with the writing... ... Aaaaamywho... So far so good for Brother Tharryn...We're still on the ring road around Lake Rumare, and have been into everything from Weye 'round to Pell's Gate...Including an encounter with Umbra which I'm dying to write up, 'cause ma noggin did a right number on that little moment... ... But anyways, as we're still pretty low on strength and Alteration level, it's taking ages to clear out Fort Homestead...Although, I think we're on our last return visit... However, I can't stop levelling up...Having got a huge amount of monies from this selling lark, I went and bought a load of ingredients, so as to Alchemize them...As you do...Somehow, whilst standing there mixing, I managed to level up, not once...But twice... ... Fair dues, level 13 without trying...I've barely been in anywhere so far...Literally, the dungeons around the Imp City island, and the previously mentioned ones from Weye, south and eastwards...I think that's the way (or weye!)... Sadly, I can't get out of the sneak/shoot/shoulder down and charge thing...Even though he's supposed to be light-armour...*Shrug*...Still, I've got me a Dwarven shield now...I love them...I may keep it until I'm a high enough level to get the full-on Escutcheon of Chorrol... So, that's me then... ...
