Cool.. I still haven't read much of the fan-fic here. It's definitely high in the to-do list. That and writing my own fic.

Well it's the last day of term here, so I'll have lots of time to get some things done over the next two weeks.

It's my third time reading it Definitely worth being high on the list.

And I'm on my third attempt at writing a fanfic.

Seconded...Putting your characters you invented into situations that have been inspired by the game, and then magnified or simply altered beyond all recognition is an awesome feeling... ...

For me, no DiD=no character. If I'm just reloading when they die then they're an avatar, not a character.

His is the incorrect terminology, not mine!

I think it´s more accurate with post-and-run. If you hit-and-run it means you hit someone and then run away but here you just post and run away, you never hit

I guess once again we´ll have to agree to disagree, right..?

The same for me. When I first started playing oblivion and morrowind my characters were 'dead is reload' I got one character to an A-bomb from that Around the time I was creating my next character I was exposed to the idea of DiD and since then have never been able to play any other way . I've had a few characters that I've been very reluctant to stop and of course it's never easy just dropping a character. However DiD can be really immersive and add another layer to the game.

I can't bare to think of how I would feel if my current skyrim character Ravos died. At level 42 and almost having finished I'm really connected to him, in fact he's maybe my favorite TES character ever. But at level 42 he's practically invincible (while still being fun to play) so it doesn't really matter...

I guess you could say I also do DiD with Lothran but since he´s also practically invulnerable it doesn´t matter either

I know what you mean. It makes the whole game feel different. Every fight is literally a matter of life and death for a character. Going back to it simply meaning a reload would be impossible.

I do try my best never to die in any game whether it´s Oblivion, Fallout 3 or whatever. But if I should fail then I do reload. Though I have to admit, it never feels good doing it..
