I hate to state it, but it would seem the assertions of it's demise are true.

I don't want to see it go that way...but well: it was an inevitability.

Given the way people have been treated here, frankly why would anyone want to come here? I've come back in a limited capacity, but only for the people that I've come to know and love.

No need to qualify any of this with a response as I realize it's a sensitive topic, and further discussion will likely devolve into needless flaming and argumentation.

However, it also does not change what has happened, and what the long-term consequences of it was.

Well, I don't know anything about that Blackie, but I figure this forum had a half-life from the beginning.

It's essentially an Oblivion forum, and that makes it niche. And the majority of people who bought Oblivion aren't still playing it. The addition of the Skyrim section helped a little, but that only kept existing forumites here.

Also people change, getting older for one....their lives change....well i don't know anymore, I still love this place, gah I was here from the very start, but nowadays I can't even role play and that makes me sad...

And before it was an Oblivion forum, it was an Elder Scrolls forum. It was quite vibrant and cosmopolitan in it's heyday. Perhaps I have rose-colored glasses on, but it was a more or less wonderful exchange of congress and ideas.

Even those, such as myself, who....*looks around for McB*...disliked....Oblivion, we still kept coming back here. For the camraderie, and feedback without the level of politics and overagressive enforcement policies of the Officials.

In spite of that, everyone was largely respectful of one another. We still are, to an extent.

We will probably be coming back here for even longer time....but maybe less frequent ..*sighs*

I feel badly as well, but...*shrugs*. If I say something, it'll be deleted for being 'flamey', if I say nothing, the descent continues.

Lol! I appreciate the sentiment, but not quite what I meant.

I mean that I would like to be able to discuss things openly, and civilly. If I feel that I've been disrespected and I express it as such, it should be taken as such.

Granted, some things are best left in PM's and dirty laundry usually isn't meant to be aired publicly...then again there is something to be said for a public airing of grievances.

This recent spat between a couple of users while facepalmy, also showed that people quickly brought up why the suspicion had no merit, and the accuser quickly offered his apology and took responsibility for his mistake.

ahh ok..well you understood me as usual...and i was a little worried over just the "thing" you mentioned, I do wish this place to be as civil and funny-friendly as it was or is most of the time...darn it next year we celebrate 10 years with Chorrol ! Imagine we've been here for almost 10 years.... quite a few of us that is!
