But one that doesn't get fixed is that sometimes your bullet will pass right through a target without doing anything. Which certainly makes things interesting!

Yes, I have had a weapon that did that a bit. You are right, I think it was the Gauss!

Great day today. Ben was travelling over to Rockopolis to grab the Bobble head when the Firelance Event™ happened in the sky above. Woohoo!! On every playthrough for me it has either occurred in the first 40 hours or I have had to wait for a bloody long time. This time it was 265h.

I had a great view of it in the twilight sky, the explosion ripped from south to north and smashed down into the rocks right outside Rockopolis. Scampering around I found 19 cells but no Firelance. sad.gif Thinking quickly Ben quickly traveled back to 101 and called a certain puppy to help out. The little guy coughed up both the gun and the other cells. It had fallen just under the edge of a patch of grass and I couldn't see it. smile.gif

The only trouble was that 3 Albino Scorps and 1 Yao Guai kept attacking Ben while he was searching!

My Firelance Event™ actually happened close to where the small spaceship is, not far from a building with three chimneys. At the time I didnīt know what it was, I thought it was just some guys fighting with big guns or something even though I knew about this event. Never found the gun when I returned there, even with Dogmeat. Not that it was a big loss as anything with flying astro ba***rds doesnīt belong in the Fallout universe for me. Plus I donīt like energy weapons so there you go.. tongue.gif

But funny thing, I think it happen well beyond 300 hours in my game blink.gif

My first Firelance was the same a Mirocu's. I heard a big boom, and just assumed it was a raider with a missile launcher. I was walking around afterward looking for what I thought was the raiders, when I found the alien power cells strewn about, and eventually I stumbled upon the gun. WTF? I thought, and went to look it up on the wiki.

Most of my games it never happens at all. In years of playing on and off, I think the Firelance has only happened twice.

On the 360 I used to travel to the NW corner of the map early in game and got Firelance there every time on that road that runs east to west toward the Satcom Array there (just north of the power station). Since I just got the PC game this is my first run on it - Firelance went off near Fairfax, landed around a bunch of tall buildings. Only a small amount of ammo found and no Firelance, and this time I never heard the explosion, so I'm wondering if it took place at some other time when I was near Fairfax and all but that few ammo is all that is left from the world resetting.

It is also possible that the gun and some of the ammo fell down through the earth. Use the TCL command to look under the ground, and you might find it just beneath the surface.

Molly just wrapped up Point Lookout, exploring everything, and killing Desmond and Calvert. This time I killed Desmond first. That is what he gets for being rude. Molly also made a note to self for when she becomes an Evil Overlord: Always be polite to one's minions and treat them with respect.

Now Molly is back in the Wasteland. She still has the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. I was planning to use them for decorations back in the Megaton house. But they are still quest items, so the game won't allow me to drop them from my inventory. So I looks like the first stop will be Rivet City to sell them to the guy at the Capital Preservation Society.

Oh, what a great idea! I'll try it before the weekend is out!

Misa has been stuck in the Homestead pending me getting the free time to play - have had a hectic couple weeks her in RL with the ice and snow forcing the dogs and cats inside the house together; husband's dog having seizures; and husband and son going stir crazy from being penned inside the house so much. Urk.

She will try to catch up to Molly as soon as possible.

Great stories about the Firelance™. I have often wondered how other go in regards to that event. I have always been lucky to find the weapon. If it ever fell through the game world I would be pissed off big time.

Ben arrived home today to place Bobbleheads 18 & 19 on the display (only SG to go) when he discovered that Wadsworth had just knocked over his 5 foot high pyramid of cigarette cartons that was dedicated to some ancient civilization that existed eons ago. Probably the United Nations or something. laugh.gif The effigy was meticulous in design and detail and is now a pile of rubble that has half fallen down the stairs at Megaton. Man, is that stupid robot looking for a ass-whipping tonight!

SPEW !!! OMG, my stomach hurts from laughing !!!!

He keeps coming into my bedroom and hanging out in the Megaton house! Not like there is a whole lot of room in there as it is, and he is in my way to get into the desk or file cabinet - or changing clothes and trying to see myself in it! And who can sleep with him sitting there puffing his jets?

If I hadn't had that hair glitch I was going to sneak up on Wadsworth and dismantle him, then shove him in the spare bedroom and close the door. But unfortunately, I might need him.

Really thinking about activating my Megaton house mod, because I shoved him in the basement to serve food and drinks at the basement bar in that mod, lol.

Lol. I had not thought of that problem. laugh.gif

In the past I have been very lucky with Wadsworth as he has just sat in the spare room and ignored me for the last 100 hours. Then suddenly today he has decided to take matters into his own hands (or is that pincers?) and flown down the stairs to stand by the door. Cigarette cartons are now everywhere. It is a nightmare to clean up. I have never seen him watching me in the bedroom, man that would be creepy! Maybe he has a thing for female characters...

Ben has left Wadsworth to clean up and has departed Megaton again. Some bum has put a note on the front door talking about some Holy Water lunacy. Might have to investigate that later. He has just finished raiding the Chryslus Building. I could not believe the amount of caps that those employees had stashed inside. Either they had a very good union rate or Mirocu has found a new place to hide his millions!

Wadsworth is the Lydia of the Wasteland as far as hanging over the Player's bed while they sleep - or you may be right that it is just female players.

Now that Molly is back in the Capital Wasteland, Molly made a trip out west to wrap up some old business from Point Lookout. She sneaked like a ninja through the Dunwich Building, and ninja'ed the ferals she found there. A Sneak of 100 + Melee Weapons of 100 = lots of quiet killings. She had picked up a Fat Man on the way out, and a few mini-nukes. So when she got to the obelisk at the bottom of things she had just the thing for the remaining ghouls. Only one Glowing One escaped the nuking, and he went down to Molly's hatchet. In the end, the Krivbeknih was no more.

Since she was out there, Molly did some bobblehead collecting. She stopped by the Yao-Guai Tunnels and Rockopolis before heading back east. On the way home she stopped in Tenpenny Tower to sell off her loot, and buy another bottlecap mine schematic. This makes the third one, so now she can make 3 mines at once. I have been hoarding my mine supplies for this. So when Molly got back to Megaton she hunkered down in front of the workbench. Now she has 144 bottlecap mines!

How do those bottlecap mines work? I have never had one go off that I've laid down; I've even shot them and they still didn't go off. So every game I end up either storing them or selling them, I've never even seen the damage they do yet!

That is weird. I have never had a problem with them. You use them the same as any ordinary frag mine. You just put them down and they arm automatically. They make spectacular explosions, I think about 5 times the damage of an ordinary mine. So they are the best way to kill Deathclaws in the early game.

I'm going to have to try again - I lay them down outside of Big Town to stop those muties - nothing happened, no explosions. I even tried to shoot them and nothing happened. The muties came in and made us all their britches; I had to reload the previous save, find the town again, and this time laid out frag mines (which worked just fine).

Strange about those bottlecaps mALX. As Rosa has said they work the same as frag mines. Has this happened on both Xbox and PC? Have you tried using them at places other than Big Town?

144 Bottlecap mines? Rosa! I hope you don't carry them all at the same time. Just imagine the explosion if they accidentally went off!

Molly Hatchet would get high on that explosion, might even land in Mothership Zeta!

I haven't tried using them in the PC game yet, only on the 360. I tried them in a couple places, but never had a single one go off so quit trying.
