Are you sure it isn't someone who already knows you? It could be someone you worked with or something. There is an agency you can contact if you are being cyber stalked; it is a federal crime.

What do you mean someone who knows me? I know exactly who it is. We used to live with her.

Several. I collect knives and we have a gun cabinet. She isn't threatening me, though. I cut our friendship off after she began calling the police on our roommate we had after her and abusing them emotionally and physically. (we didn't find out about the abuse until after they had broken up and she stayed with her friend and he stayed with us)

She started coming to our apartment and just waiting. Not doing anything. Sometimes we disnt even know she was there until our roommate came inside and was like "Uh, y'all know she's here, right?"

We moved like three months after that and I switched jobs AND stopped working at the new job. She showed up to my husband's last show with his band and left once she saw how many people were with me. Then she started accusing me of stalking HER.

She even posted "proof."

Which was a Canadian IP on her IP tracker... I live in Texas. Someone else was looking at her blog and she swore for months it was me and trying to guilt me into contacting her. I never have except for once to tell her to leave me alone. I have her blocked on every social site and changed my phone number. No mutual friends on Facebook. She still found me. But all she does is tell me she's changed now. I don't care. I just want her to leave me alone and stop tracking me down.

If this person lives in the same town or area, it would be easy; especially if they are living at her husband's parents house and his last name is the same as theirs. You can hunt anyone down without too much trouble if you actually know them/know their names and especially if you know where they lived at any given time no matter how long ago in the past it was.

But that's the thing, not only are there at least twenty people in this area with my husband's last name, the last time she was here was six or seven years ago. She's switched computers, emails, Facebook's, moved like six times, etc. That is a lot of effort just to find me and tell me "BTW I'm on medication now."

Probably. She's only been to our house once before. I used to drive to her mother's house every day and I don't remember where she lives.

Not until she's been violent physically. And then only when she's been violent AGAIN can I issue a restraining order. But since everything documented is benign, what would they do? They'll just tell me to call them when she's hurt me.

So even though it's clear she's stalking you, nothing can be done until she attacks you or your family? And a second instance is required for a restraining order? That is so [censored] up.

I'd get a restraining order with a "Chinese Wall." That means they can't contact you via friends; via the internet; no contact whatsoever in any way at all or they go to jail.

No, it has to be that way, or Liz would be the one that's subject to the restraining order. Because people that weird will tell the cops you're stalking them.
