Never understood the appeal of Aquaman. I'd rather see a Namor movie.

Lol no? Aquaman is just the most hated Justice League member and it always made fun of for being useless. I used to be a huge fan when I was a little girl, then got made fun of by some older guys and switched to Batman, even though I'm really "meh" about Batman.

I don't really know jack about DC. All they had was Batman and Superman.

Not being a comic kid, it was all about cartoons. And Marvel had X-Men, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, and The Fantastic Four, and I used to watch them all.

*Eyes glaze over nostalgically*

DC's characters, with the notable exception of the Batman, always seemed too op for me. I mean Superman is super strong, super fast, super smart, he shoots laser beams and x-rays from his eyes and he's physically invulnerable. In fact, the only way to hurt him is to somehow find a small fragment of Krypton which had somehow traversed millions of light years to land on earth. The Flash is so fast he vibrate his own molecules to travel 'between' solid objects. Wonder Woman can fly and she has an invisible jet. She is immune to gunfire because she wears a pair of bracelets... and she has a lasso that compels men to tell the truth (how blatantly sexist is that? ).

Yeah, I like my superheroes realistic and vulnerable lol

I mean, superpowers are great, but can the drawbacks be more than "They'll kill people they think I love?"

That was something I thought odd about the Watchmen film. Why were those people so damn strong and tough? Being able to punch through walls and catch a bullet just because they put on a costume?

And Batman was good, but had the problem of being so hilariously one-upped by Ironman that it wasn't even funny.

Though Marvel did have some over the top characters. Even some of the X-Men were over the top. Rogue for example. Indestructible, super strong, could fly, and drain the life force/mutant powers from people. Or Gambit, looking at the wiki page on him...
