And this is where the Behemoth's head rolls over and says: "Cho, I am your father!" biggrin.gif

I laughed out loud when I read this. Brilliant!

Behemoths are fantastic fun. I remember my first battle with one away from GNR. I opened the cage and POW, the sucker jumped me from behind. Lucky Dogmeat came to the rescue and gave his life on my behalf. Unfortunately the little guy could not survive the 16th hit from the fire hydrant and finally succumbed, disappearing slowly to that big doghouse in the sky.

After 2 minutes of combat I managed to kill the Behemoth. And brought my fav guy back with the puppies perk. smile.gif

I wonder how Beth will change things up this time. Creatures should not just be bullet sponges at high level, but have different methods of attack. It would be cool to see Albinos try to pick you up in their claws before they wack you with their stingers. Sure would make combat fun!

The picking up thing - there are a few enemies in ESO that do that, and it is scary as heck because you can't fight it or them while being held; and are most def receiving damage the whole time they have you in the air! Thank goodness it only lasts 5-8 seconds. When you break free from one of them, you better give it all you got before you get picked up again.

I would like to see ghouls hidden behind bathroom stall doors, to pop out at you when you open the stall door or as you are passing the door for it to fly open and a ghoul lunge out. (scare the crap out of you).

I think it would make me scream my head off and wake the whole house, but once the chill bumps on my arms and hair sticking out everywhere went down, I'd be like: "WOW! THAT WAS AWESOME!" laugh.gif

The ghoul idea is great! Yeah, more immersion like that would be so neat.

Perhaps a boss manager ghoul (complete with rotted tie and suit) that is moaning your name and wanting to know why you are going to the bathroom instead of working. Lol. Or wanting to know why you are on the Chorrol forum instead of writing up that report? laugh.gif

Just for info. What price are you folks hoping to pick up FO4 for? In Australia I see that Big W has the game for $69 and the Prima guide for another $20. That is probably the best deal from a shop I can find. Online from overseas would of course be cheaper again.

Normal games sell for around $78 here.

New games in America (in the D.C. area) have been hovering around $64.00 for years now, but I think this next generation might finally bump past this mark.

I can remember back in the 1980s, buying some Atari games for somewhere around $40.00. Which seems sort of funny to me, because $40.00 to $64.00 isn't really that much, inflation-wise, considering 30+ years have passed.

RE: the BOLDed section above: Geez that ghoul you described used to be my boss!

On the game = I paid 59.99 for the game in pre-order; so you may as well say 60.00. Add taxes and the 11.00 I paid to rush it to me on wings; it totaled at just under 75.00 American dollars.

I'll be like mirocu, I won't play FO4. Not because of Steam but because my laptop can't handle it with only 4 GB of RAM. At first I was saddened but when I read that the protagonist is voiced and that even more background is forced upon you compared to FO3 and FNV, I began doubting that FO4 would be that appealing for my tastes.

What are Fallout 4 requirements? Okay, now I have to look it up.

CODE
Minimum
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
8 GB RAM
30 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
8 GB RAM
30 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

Does this mean the game is actually coded in 64 bit? It must be if they expect you to use 8gig of ram. Not to mention Win 7+. I feel your pain with an older system Lopov. But I have to say, it is about time that developers started making 64 bit games and taking advantage of the extra resources they can use. After all, it has been 6 years since we have had a 64-bit OS (I am not counting Vista, just 64-bit Win 7).

30 gig of hard drive space? That is going to be a loong download. Especially for those folks buying on Day One (No one is going to be using the Internet at mALX's house that day!) Though I suppose they might allow pre-Day One downloads like Gog did with Witcher 3, and only have one little piece left you need to download on release day.

There was a 64-bit version of Win XP, too.

Thanks for the replies on the dollar price. I always had an impression that we in Oz land paid heaps more than the States for games. I see that it is not too far different. The price, no matter what, is still cheap considering it is 3 or 4 years worth of work by Beth.

30-40 gig install is standard these days. That is why I still prefer to grab the 'old' disc version of the game instead of a download. I would not be able to play the game until December if I had to download. Lol.

Sorry for taking things off course here Mirocu. I do realize that this section is for the wandering efforts of our beloved characters.

But I cannot help but wonder what will happen come Nov 10. Will we be 'allowed' to post here? tongue.gif

*Well, I could follow up on a few quests but they donīt interest me much.

I wish we could go back to Alaska as a tradition; I would really enjoy visiting there - set up a tent and bedroll in that ice village, lol.
