@Renee - why does Deeno's poster look "almost real"? It is real. @mALX - he didn't rob the armory yet, he just took its key and will take a look inside the next time he's in Rivet City. I don't really remember the Chryslus Building, it's been years since I've been there. I'm thinking of advancing the MQ in Deeno's game so that the Enclave will arrive. Deeno's not from Vault 101, I used a custom start for him so the only way to spawn them in his game is to use the console to advance the MQ unless I find some mod that does it. @Winter Wolf - he has quite a silver tongue, especially when it comes to ladies [Lady Killer Perk]. But he made sure to kill Ted on the flight deck, away from prying eyes and ears. All they heard was "just another gunshot". @mirocu - Deeno is my meanest character in the Capital DC. I'm curious how far will he make it, he's strictly Dead-Is-Dead. He almost died only once so far and that was when he was swimming in the broken bow of Rivet City and couldn't find a way out. Regarding the Statesman Hotel - once you complete Reilly's quest, you can use the elevator to freely move between the lobby and upper floors, however, you can't exit the hotel via the broken tower connecting the hotel and the hospital. QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 23 2015, 04:10 AM) QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 23 2015, 09:23 AM) Once you get inside the Statesman, you can't escape without togging clipping and floating up above the bed you first enter at; or doing Reilly's quest.
Ooh, so thatīs why I couldnīt find my way out! Blimey! QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 23 2015, 09:23 AM) I have also wanted to get out of there, it gets claustrophobic after a while.
You tell me I had to go back to an earlier save and losing out on the Super Mutant loot because I felt so trapped, but if itīs like you say I had no other choice anyway. Yeah, even if you make it to the roof you can't fast travel from there; so you are stuck completing that quest - it is about the only thing I don't like about that quest; forced to go through it in one gulp. Well, I finally realized why I couldn't go back out that place where you enter on that broken radio tower bridge, it is because you have to drop down into the hotel. So when I wanted a break from that hotel; I went back to that bed, toggled clipping, and floated back up into that area where the radio bridge ends in the hotel side; then save and exit the game, come back fresh another time, It is kind of like Mothership Zeta; in that once you start you are in for the long haul.

Well, when he does rob the armory I want details on the loot found! Oh; and yeah, the Enclave spawning adds so much to the game!!! QUOTE(Lopov @ Nov 23 2015, 11:20 AM) But you can get out because the elevator works and you can travel between the roof and the lobby. Unless there's some glitch in the un-patched game which disables the elevator in the base game after the quest is over. I never had any problems in the Statesman, though. No, the elevator is broken till you fix it in the Reilly quest. Before then you are stuck in that hotel. I somehow had the Rangers turn on me one game, and it blocked them from doing the quest. I was stuck - ended up starting a new game because that was before SubRosa told me about toggling clipping. This post has been edited by mALX: Nov 23 2015, 05:43 PM

I'm starting to get nostalgic for Fallout 3 now... I've had to put New Vegas on hold. I got as far as Nipton, and something about that place has just utterly killed the mood for me. I think Einar's kind of freaked out by it, and wants out. Whatever the reason, the game just isn't any fun for me right now

But Nellis Air Force Base and Vegasl; Black Mountain and the Deathclaw Promentary; etc. - they kind of make a balance from the horrors of Nipton and that highy radiated SE airport where SubRosa's Molly Hatchet found her axe. New Vegas is well worth the playthrough and exploration imho.

Yes, the elevator works fine the rest of the game after it is fixed during that quest. I guess I simply forgot to check that last time I was there

I guess I simply forgot to check that last time I was there I had to go back one time for the sheet music (for Agatha) that I forgot to get on that roof top; or I would never have thought about whether it worked or not. I just wan't going to fight my way through the hospital and all those floors again if I didn't have to, so thought I'd check the lobby first. Elevator works fine once that guy fixes it in that quest.

New Vegas is well worth the playthrough and exploration imho. I've played through the game once, I went independent, but I guess I must have bullrushed it. Playing it with a proper character just seems to have made Nipton a whole lot worse. IT's one of the reasons I deleted the update I wrote yesterday. I was kind of thrown by Nipton, and really half-arsed it. And to be honet, I'm dreading writing Einar's log that mentions Nipton, just because it's going to be so damn heavy. One of the main problems I've had with Einar is that he simply couldn't go exploring. Partly because it was a little out of character for him, but mostly because it wasn't until Nipton that he could get hold of a laser rifle, so he was running on a major gear limitation. Up until then the best he could do was a plasma pistol. At this point I'm kinda wishing I still had Fallout 3.

After leaving Rivet City, "Snake Eyes" Deeno was slowly heading back to the Tenpenny Tower when his PipBoy caught a transmission from Outcasts, calling their brothers for help. Curious about what's going on and eager to earn some caps, Deeno headed to the Outcast Outpost at Bailey's Crossroads and agreed to complete the simulation of the liberation of Alaska which was the only way to gain access to the Pre-War armory. Of course, he first made sure that he'll get paid and Protector McGraw promised to give him lots of loot from the armory once it's unlocked.
After completing the simulation and dealing with some traitorous Outcasts, Deeno found out that there's not much of interest in the armory, especially not the white tin can, also known as advanced winterized T-51B Power Armor, wet dreams of many adventurers but not of of Deeno. But then he spotted the Crimson Dragoon Armor, which he recognized from being worn by Chinese snipers in the sim and Deeno's dreams fulfilled as well.
He stayed on friendly terms with Protector McGraw and Specialist Olin, the latter promised to repair his stuff for free in the future. I believe something more may have happened between Deeno and Olin but whatever it was, it happened while I wasn't watching.

yeah, you should try Fallout 3. Go for it, CT. QUOTE But then he spotted the Crimson Dragoon Armor, which he recognized from being worn by Chinese snipers in the sim and Deeno's dreams fulfilled as well. That's pretty neat he caught this.

After four years of enslavement Tina Keyes managed to escape from the hell at Paradise Falls. But two days later she wondered whether that was a curse or a blessing. Attacked by vicious dogs and raiders at the Drowned Devil's Crossing Tina barely survived the fight, only to be greeted by a minigun-wielding Super Mutant Brute a distance south of the afore-mentioned crossing. And while she managed to outrun the mutant by running back north, she witnessed a deathclaw slaughtering three wastelanders right outside the WKML Broadcast Station. It doesn't end here - after trying to find shelter in the collapsed church to the west, some sniper opened fire on her and Tina once again avoided death by sheer luck.
She was alone in the wastes, wearing a ragged settler outfit, an almost useless nail board, not to mention the tightly clenched slave collar on her neck, which despite being deactivated, caused her constant pain. Realizing that she'll soon fall as another victim of the wastes, unless she does something, she sneaked back to the WKML Broadcast Station and picked up a hunting rifle, which belonged to one of the deathclaw's victims. Thanks to the PipBoy on her left hand, which she managed to grab on her way out of Paradise Falls, she found out that the deathclaw was badly wounded from the fight.
A few gunshots and Tina brought the once ferocious beast down. Fortunately she still didn't forget how to shoot from her pre-slavery life, when she made a living as a caravaneer. With the deathclaw dead, she could finally enter a rather safe hideout inside the Radio Tower Complex, and after eating some raw dog meat, she fell asleep, firmly clenching the rifle, in case anyone tried to surprise her during the night. Perhaps escape from the paradise wasn't a curse after all.
