Broken Steel Early Enclave Fix will stop that Enclave guy from spawning at the farm, and the others who appear too early because of Broken Steel. Unless you like getting that powered armor early! wink.gif

I love getting those early Enclave surprises! They are usually at their known spawn points anyway, but it is such a nice surprise to get attacked early on (and like you said = the power armor!).

At early points in the game, it is nice to have it to sell, even if you can't wear it yet. (But thankfully, with the Anchorage DLC you can get your power armor training without having to do the main questline or break your game by going off map to get into the Citadel first - been there/done that, laugh.gif ).

As an unrepentant consolite, and therefore bereft of mods, my fix is to take them out during the day. I remember them being a little tricky, but beatable. Unfortunately, on Avner's way down to the Super Duper Mart, the bugger wasn't there. Instead of an Enclave Soldier, Avner was attacked by a pair of angry brahmin, bizarrely enough laugh.gif

That brahmin one scared me to death the first time it happened, laugh.gif I saw a bunch of green friendly markers on my compass, and then suddenly they all turned red!

Yup, me and Callidus are playing Fallout on Xbox. biggrin.gif

Lopov: What sort of backstory has Tina got so far? WE know she is a slave (that's what WE know), but what else have you learned?

Well, Avner's been busy, albeit briefly.

He's level four, has a hunting rifle and an assault rifle, both in pretty good condition, after raiding the Super Duper Mart. He's also got a suit of combat armour. He thought he was buying a cheap, battered set, but it somehow turned out to be in perfect condition? huh.gif No idea what happened there, might have to dump it or something. At one point he ate some strange meat given to him by some passing hunters, which I've just looked up on the wiki ohmy.gif

He's now faced with a choice between going after his friend Mary(Who left the Vault looking for her father, Doc James), or go up to Minefield for Moira.

That must have been rather expensive, right? Where did he buy it?

Welcome to the Capital Wasteland Tina! Hopefully one day she will return to Paradise, and it will Fall...
A fine play of words here. Tina has the same intentions in the future.

Yeah, I can definitely see Tina coming back to Paradise Falls. But it will not be as a slave, and not without a minigun.... biggrin.gif
Or maybe even a Fat Man. cool.gif

Lopov: What sort of backstory has Tina got so far? WE know she is a slave (that's what WE know), but what else have you learned?
I don't know so much about her yet. She lived a rather ordinary life, making a living as a caravaneer way north of the Capital Wasteland. Her father was the caravan leader while Tina served as its scout and protector, that's why she's skilled with guns and she's good at remaining unnoticed.

One night they were captured by slavers, all men were killed on the spot while all women were enslaved and brought to Paradise Falls. Tina was "assigned" as Forty's personal sex slave so she has the best intentions to return the favor and smash him to smithereens one day.

She's rather distrustful (no wonder), cautious in combat and if the battle gets too tough, she escapes without a second thought, only to return later when she regained strength. Overall, she's a good-aligned character, though four years of enslavement made her rather harsh.

--

In other news, Tina found coordinates to some place called Oasis on the Drifter's corpse. She doesn't know what this is exactly but since she's a complete stranger in the Capital Wasteland, the location is as good as any. After finding some rather well preserved combat armor in an abandoned tent roughly northeast of the Mason Dixon Salvage, she's now on a way to the Oasis. Now she carries two weapons on her back and one at her belt:

-a hunting rifle, her primary weapon for long-range combat

-a combat shotgun, about to break very soon but she cleared most mutants of the Mason Dixon Salvage thanks to it

-a scoped .44 magnum which she found in a locked safe in some truck.

The more the deactivated slave collar on her neck reminds Tina of Paradise Falls each time she swallows, the more she's determined to survive in the harsh wasteland.

He got it off Crow, for the princely sum of 34 caps. Crow had several suits of combat armour, and Avner was going to buy them and repair one to get himself some better armour. But it glitched and the armour's in perfect condition, so a real bargain.

It's nice to have a glitch work in my favour for a change, but I'm guessing that much armour, this early in the game's going to make things fairly easy for him.

And I have to say, Avner's majorly jealous of Tina's scoped .44 magnum.

Lopov, I forgot to mention: about Deeno. I find it amusing that there was a 5,000 cap bounty on his head, but a stupid mirelurk is the one who finally got him. laugh.gif Guess that mirelurk's going to be rich.

It depends. Her collar is locked with an imaginary very hard lock and Forty has the only key to it so if she manages to kill him one day, she might free herself. Another option is to increase her lockpick to 100 then she'll be able to unlock her collar.

IIRC there's another Fisto in the Capital Wasteland, it's a unique power fist. wink.gif

Yeah, Three Dog just mentioned on the radio that some mirelurk hunter bought a suite in the Tenpenny Tower - must be the one that killed Deeno.

Tina made it to the Oasis and that's where she's going to stay for the time being. It feels good to be among friendly people no matter how loony they are.

--

So while she's there, I launched a new character, the one that should be more interesting to play than Tina, at least for me.

He's a hobo. I mean the Hobo. That's how he's called. bigsmile.gif

I was slightly drunk yesterday, we went for a drink after work and first we had one drink, then another one followed and so on...anyway, when I got home, I had this idea of a character in my head that won't do any quests and won't even go near settlements and I just had to let it loose. So I created him, then wrote a short intro and by the time I was done, it dawned. Today when I came back from work (I had an afternoon-evening shift so I could get some sleep in between), I corrected grammar mistakes in the intro but I left most of it as it was so the text is a little...odd. cool.gif Anyway, for those interested:

And on the following day at work, Lopov adviced people to stop drinking as it´s bad for their liver.

I believe the term is "irony" cool.gif

Telling people in Slovenia to stop drinking is pointless, even most persistent doctors gave up years ago. cool.gif

--

The Hobo arrived to the Capital Wasteland from the west, close to Little Lamplight. He carries a big leather backpack on his back which hosts all kind of stuff, from the Hobo's lucky pool ball Nr. 13 to ample supply of .32 ammunition. The backpack comes with a folding mattress, a must-have for a tramp like the Hobo.

He wears a warm roving trader outfit and a hat of some Chinese General which he found years ago and has been proudly sitting atop his head ever since.

His weapon of choice is a classic hunting rifle, he also carries a spare .32 gun, a few mines and grenades, and a rusty lead pipe for minor nuisances like bloatflies.

He encountered a few Super Mutants on a brahmin killing spree and intervened. Unfortunately he managed to save only one Brahmin but at least all Super Mutants are dead. Then he climbed on a high wooden lookout tower from where he watches over the Brahmin in case more Super Mutants would come. Yes, the Hobo is an animal friend.

I intended to give him a double-barreled shotgun as a main weapon but then I settled for a hunting rifle. When he finds some shotgun, he's probably going to use it, his backpack is big enough for lots of things.

Yesterday I played a little bit of my Fallout 3 Lich - Loviatar, and got her look and mod loadout sorted out. I decided that she is not actually a true undead like Persephone. Instead her Immortality Serum mutated her, but she is still technically alive. She can no longer breathe untainted air. So most of the time she needs a breath mask that filters in poisons. She can only breathe radioactive or toxic air. Likewise, she can only gain sustenance from irradiated water and human flesh. I created a mod that raises the cap on rad resistance that I will be using with her, so she should be completely immune to radiation.

She is kind of like a Toxic Shaman from Shadowrun, except she's a scientist instead of a shaman.

Now I am thinking about a lair for her to use. She won't be living in Megaton. I have a feeling it might not be around for too long in her game... I am not sure about living at Tenpenny Tower. Can you guy themes for the Tenpenny Suite like you can the Megaton House? Because she ought to have a mad scientist lair, with a few skulls and body parts tossed in for good measure.

Lopov: You were drunk when you created THE Hobo? blink.gif If it was me, I'd wind up falling over a table or something! No gaming would get accomplished.

SubRosa: Loviatar. That's the gal who we voted on awhile back, right? To see which outfit looks best on her?
