Matty sounds interesting. He certainly has good reason not to like guns. There sure seems to be a lot of people playing FO4 these days, so maybe it should have its own Where Are You Today topic. Today Loviatar spent her time thoroughly exploring the area between Tenpenny Tower and the ruins of Megaton (which is where her lair is now located). After clearing the Raiders from Fairfax (and having a warm meal... ), she discovered the Brotherhood of Steel Outcasts in Fort Independence. Loviatar has not forgotten that the Brotherhod of Steel was formed from the very same soldiers who had killed all of her colleagues in Mariposa, in the days before the Great War. So she went on a killing (and feeding) spree. This is the first time any of my characters has gone down into Fort Independence. There was some really good loot in the armory, including a unique energy pistol that looks like an alien blaster. I think that was added by EVE however. Ha ha ha nice! I am loving your Loviator back-story discoveries. Yours too, Rhiannae. Welcome to Chorrol, Matty. Enjoy your stay. QUOTE Hobo doesn't have a goal, he just wanders to wherever he likes. Hobo is a free man. Was he always free? Hobo doesn't know.

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Dec 15 2015, 01:41 PM) This will definitely be my fist time blowing up Megaton. If I have the heart (or lack thereof) to go through with it. Loviatar had a weird encounter yesterday. Thanks to Project ED-E, she has been traveling with an Eyebot companion lately. They came upon a group of slavers and their victims on the way back from Minefield. Loviatar talked to a Slaver and they just said "hi". Then she tried talking to a slave, and he asked her to take his bomb collar off. Loviatar never tried doing that before, and had no idea if it would kill him or not, so she thought it would be a great idea! She got it off successfully, and the slavers went hostile. A big fight started between them and Loviatar/ED-E. During the fight one of the slaves came running over crouched down, and Loviatar thought he was a slaver at first. So she shot him dead. Ooops. Then after the fight the slaves were standing around looking warily at Loviatar. She tried talking to them again, and the next one asked her take their collar off. So she tried. Well, it didn't work out so well this time, and his head blew off. The slaves went running, and ED-E started shooting. He gunned down the last slave before he could escape. I thought, wow, this robot is perfect for her! SPEW !!!! OMG, this was a comedy of errors, I've never been able to successfully remove a slave collar yet, even when I had high repair or explosives! That is really funny! Yeah, and now we see what catalyst drove Loviatar to a life of crime and blowing up cities; this incident, QUOTE(SubRosa @ Dec 15 2015, 03:41 PM) IMHO, crippled limbs happen way too often to wait for sleeping. But I did make bloodpacks heal limbs with the hematophage perk. I just tested it out. You cannot go to the status screen with the big paper doll and pick a limb, and heal it like you can a stimpack. But just using a bloodpack normally does automatically causes all crippled limbs to be cured.
I never knew that healed crippled limbs too, most def makes that perk one I want to give myself (after killing Vance for his coat and sword) QUOTE(SubRosa @ Dec 15 2015, 05:21 PM) Tonight Megaton sleeps with the fishes. Loviatar set the fusion charge. She went to Tenpenny Tower, talked to Burke, pressed the button, and just as I was getting ready to take screenshots, nothing. There was a bright flash, and later some shaking. But no explosion. Burke and Tenpenny talked like it had happened however.
So then I started going through my mods to find out which one was preventing the explosion from happening. Not Fellout, not Fallout 3 Realistic Wasteland Lighting, not Megaton Lighting Overhaul. It turns out it was a little mod I made myself that changed a little part of Megaton, to create a little walkway straight from the player house to the front gate.
So after disabling that, I got my explosion. Yes! Then I reloaded, waited for daylight, and tried it again. I liked it much better in the daytime. So that became my official version. Though I still have the screenshots from the first try.
Afterward I got my first real look at the Tenpenny Suite. I was not impressed. I liked the Megaton house much more. I tried a mod that makes it larger, but it goes too far, and makes it gigantic. I did find another that adds trophies to the vanilla suite for quests you do. I'll see how that works out, and keep her Mad Scientist Lair near Springvale as Loviatar's primary residence.
It would have been interesting to see if - when the explosion didn't happen; to go to Megaton and see if it still stood due to your mod; but that you were getting all the credit (and bad karma, did you get your bad karma for doing it?) - and the Tenpenny Suite for blowing it up, but still have it and maybe have use of the megaton house? Because if you buy themes or items for either your Tenpenny Suite or Megaton house; both houses get the items. (So you might be able to continue living in Megaton as if nothing happened; but have the game thinking you blew it up. Really interesting turn of events that would be, lol. The possibilities!

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Dec 16 2015, 02:53 PM) I just noticed that nuking Megaton does not change the People Killed stat in your Pipboy. I also did a little thinking today about Loviatar's past. She definitely was alive before the Great War. She was a biochemist working for one of the big labs that was deep in research for the military. The three that come to mind are Big MT, Mariposa, and The Institute. Since I still have not played FO4, I don't know a whole lot about the Institute. Just that they seem to be big into Artificial Intelligence and robotics. So that does not seem like the place for her. Bit MT seems to have sealed itself off when the nukes started flying, so probably not there too. Mariposa is tantalizing. That is where FEV was developed. When the army garrison found out what was going on there, they were so horrified that they killed the scientists. That sounds perfect. It was Loviatar's experiments that led the army to mutiny and start killing scientists. She was dying of cancer. While officially on the FEV project, she was in reality following her own agenda to cure herself. She developed her Prometheus Serum in secret, but after the animal testing stage, she naturally needed some humans to try it on. Her compatriots were already secretly using military prisoners as test subjects, so she appropriated a few for herself. Naturally the results of her early work were horrific (but I think was actually useful for the FEV work, and probably would become the groundwork for the creation of the first Super Mutants by The Master). The Army found out, and the Colonel in charge committed suicide. Captain Roger Maxson took over, determined to get even, and started killing scientists. With the Army on its way with torches and pitchforks, Loviatar injected herself with her unfinished serum. It reacted with the cancer cells in her system, and they took over. But she did not die. Her serum worked, even if in some unexpected ways. She became immortal. She shot her way out of Mariposa, and escaped into the desert. The nukes were in the air less than a week later. She was buried by the bombs, and by the time she had dug herself out, she found that Maxson and the others had left Mariposa. She pursued, and picked them off one by one during the nights through ambushes. Killing opportune targets and then escaping into the darkness before the others could come. But when Maxson and the others reached the Lost Hills bunker, she knew her opportunity for vengeance had gone. She could never kill them all in there. So she was forced to withdraw, before their own patrols could find and kill her. Perhaps permanently. By then she had discovered that her body now fed off corruption. She could only breathe or drink toxic or irradiated air and water. She could only eat other humans. But she was also immune to radiation, diseases, and toxins. In fact, they made her stronger. Her new body seemed perfectly adapted to the newly created wasteland. I am also thinking that regeneration would be an appropriate power for her. I am going to see if I can make a script that will make that work from a perk. Ha! Turns out that was really easy. I was able to copy the regeneration script from the Solar Powered perk, and just remove the if statements that cause it to only work during the daytime. love your backstory for Loviatar and how you were able to intertwine it with known lore of well known characters and places! Also how her abilities suit her backstory! On the regeneration - I was about to suggest that Moira gives the Player a regenerate limbs perk when I got to the part where you had already solved the problem, lol. This all sounds great! QUOTE(Lopov @ Dec 17 2015, 04:29 AM) Loviatar is an Impersonated Corruption, good backstory with ties to Mariposa and FEV. I figure she must be highly intelligent. I used this mod to expand Tenpenny's suite in Deeno's game, not that he used it much. It adds a bedroom with a bathroom, and enlarges the main room. This seems just perfect! I might get this one and retexture it, really nice! Thanks for the link, Lopov!

When I went looking to see if there were any mods that did anything with ruined Megaton, I found several that allow you do just what you suggested. You can blow up the bomb and get the Tenpenny Suite, but it doesn't destroy Megaton. Instead Megaton stays exactly how it was. I wanted it blown up though. It suits Loviatar's personality.

I've been just consoling the Tenpenny suite to my character and getting the Megaton suite the regular way this past year (I think since you taught me how, lol). But - like you, I've never blown up Megaton before, even with my one evil character I played on the 360 (to get my bad karma achievements, lol). It would be interesting to make another evil character and test it out, but like you - if I do, would most def need a modded living quarters somewhere. The Tenpenny suite is not very satisfactory imho. I do like that mod Lopov posted for it size wise; might combine it with my textures and set-up the balcony for hanging out there and sitting, etc.

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Dec 20 2015, 08:57 PM) I heard a new one from Three Dog today: Question time, kids. You know what a Reaver is? It's a killer, a liar, a monster. In other words, it's that bitch from Vault 101. Check it out. I never imagined how much fun an evil character could be! SPEW !!! That is hilarious !!!!

I had another first yesterday. While exploring the wastes, Loviatar ran across some people that she thought were scavengers at first, since they were dressed in the trader and wasterlander outfits (not raider gear). But they all attacked immediately, and yelled something about it being vengeance for Megaton. They were Megaton Refugees! Of course Loviatar killed and ate them... And today Loviatar caught up with Moira again at her new home in Underworld. I had already tried talking her out of the Wasteland Survival Guide and failed the speech check. No matter how many times I tried again, it never gave the option for the speech check again. Then I read up on the Wikia that you can only try to talk her out of it one time per chapter. So Loviatar had to finish the first chapter - get irradiated. Normally that is easy. Just stand in the radioactive water beside the bomb in Megaton, or some other water source. But Loviatar is completely immune to radiation, so she cannot get irradiated. Doh! In the end I had to use the console to complete that quest, and with it the first chapter of the Survival Guide. Then I was able to crush Moira's dreams and talk her out of writing her book. So now Loviatar is officially a Dream Crusher as well as a cannibal and murderer. Got to love this game! I have only done the blow up Megaton once but I can remember the kickback you get from doing it. That is quite fun. I love the wiki- hostile with no exceptions! Loviatar is barking up one crazy tree there! Sound like she should visit a certain Novac resident. Lol. You might want to add a full on ghoul mod and give into that inhuman desire. Evil characters are so much fun and it is cool to hear that you are enjoying the new moments in the game. One day Beth will allow us to join factions and have a proper experience. Alas, one day....

Loviatar has been exploring to the north east today. At Canterbury Commons she had a front row seat for a battle between The AntAgonizer and The Mechanist. Unlike most of my other games, this time the ants won - destroying all of the robots with one ant left standing. Afterward Loviatar talked to the Mayor, and offered to solve Canterbury's problems, for a price.
She followed the Mechanist back to his forge, and decommissioned him permanently. From there she went to the AntAgonizer's Lair, and after killing her way through all of the ants, faced off with the Supervillainess herself. Only to have her demand that Loviatar turn over the Mechanist's armor. Loviatar played along and did so, and in return The AntAgonizer gave her a poisoned kitchen knife, and left town to spread her hive elsewhere.
That worked out well. Loviatar went back to collect her caps from Mayor Roe, and decided to invest in the caravans. With Megaton being a smouldering crater, the caravan traders are her primary means of selling her loot. Thankfully they still show up in front of the Megaton Ruins, which makes it easy for her to find them, since her lair is nearby.
Finally, Loviatar headed farther north to the Republic of Dave. The Former Republic of Dave that is, as she declared it forfeit, being the Ambassador of the Wasteland. Much killing ensued, and now Loviatar has Dave's special key. Though she doesn't know what it opens, yet...

Medusa looks amazing. A ghoul sniper is a scary thought. It is hard to say who is more insane- the robots/ghouls or the Republic of Dave. Good to hear that violence and killing won the day. Did you grab the Bobblehead? How many has Loviatar found so far? *** edit- I was reading around on Reddit and came across a post of someone who has built a colosseum in Fallout 4. Amazing how it takes the public to add the things I want in my Beth games. I am still waiting for pit fighting in Skyrim. Check it outThis post has been edited by Winter Wolf: Dec 25 2015, 07:01 AM
