Hobo hears a song playing.
It's a happy song, sung by a man and a woman, and they call each other "my sunshine". But as Hobo looks around himself, he's alone in a dilapidated barn, there isn't any radio around. He only hears the song in his mind. But Hobo knows there was once a radio in this barn. If he closes his eyes, he can even see it playing while a strong man is feeding some animals similar to Brahmin except that they have one head less. Hobo opens his eyes and he's alone again. But the song keeps on playing. Hobo likes it so he lits a cigarette and joins the man and the woman singing "You are my sunshine". -------------------- "I saw a politician the other day."

At least the voices in his head keep Hobo company.
 Loviatar came across a crashed spaceship today. That means one thing. Mothership Zeta. She woke in a cell with another prisoner, who suggested that they pretend to fight in order to get the guards to come in and stop them. Loviatar didn't pretend. Once they aliens came in, she killed everyone, cellmate included. Then she ate them all. This is what happens when her dander gets up. She came across a child shortly after, and left her alive. Loviatar had a feeling that she might gag on the innocence. Or at least get the runs. Turns out it was a good decision, as the kid knows a lot about the spaceship, and has been very useful. Now it is time to chew bubblegum and kick alien ass. And Loviatar is all out of bubblegum... -------------------- |

That's certainly an interesting take on why Loviatar spared Sally!
Kudos!I feel very, very scared for those aliens. It is like the aliens vs predator thing. ** I was playing Chalice yesterday and had a thought about the game. Nuka Cola (which has sat around for 200 years) always gives us hit point return every time that we drink it. It would make far more sense if some of the bottles were tainted and actually took hp away. Say, a 50-50 chance of plus 20 hp or minus 20 hp. Imagine how awesome would that be. Fighting a raider with a missile launcher. You get hit and are low on heath. Take a drink and you kill yourself. But I guess it is like the raise the difficulty and increase the bullet sponge. Loviatar could write The Irradiated Chef, or The Radiation Gourmet! Have you heard the Gourmet is in the Wasteland? I'm gathering these kidneys to impress her...
 Loviatar ate Mothership Zeta tonight. She left the other humans alive though. Sally was the most useful - with her knowledge of alien hardware and ability to fit into small places. Loviatar expects she might make for a good apprentice in the future. She'll have to warm up another dose of the Prometheus Serum for when Sally reaches adulthood. In the ghoul mod I made, Feral Ghouls were friendly to the player character. That made going through the metros a lot easier.
You can go into Rivet City and trade just fine after blowing up Megaton. It doesn't really change anything, except Megaton of course, and your alignment. I started a new New Vegas game today, and discovered a few things. This time instead of going straight to talk to Sunny Smiles, I walked around Goodsprings and looted all the mailboxes. I stopped at the schoolhouse and noticed that the Xander Roots that Sunny sends you to get are not there. Nor were the mantises. They must both get added in by doing the quest with Sunny to learn how to cook. Likewise, there wasn't any Broc Flower on top of cemetery hill, and it didn't have the bark scorpion or bloatflies.
After taking a spin around the town, then I went to talk to Sunny. When she took me out back, I noticed that the bottles you use for target practice were not on the fence behind the bar. Hecate installed Meyers as the new Sheriff of Primm today. As with all of my games, afterward I started hearing people say that Primm knuckled under and accepted NCR rule to stay safe. I have never understood that. The NCR didn't occupy the town. So far as I understand it, that happens if you go the route of getting reinforcements for Lieutenant Hayes (the officer in the NCR camp on the other side of the highway from Primm).

I played a bit of Fallout 3 today, it's been ages. Cho Zenwahn is still walking with Daddy James. I just saw something cool: James picked up a weapon! This is good, because his laser gun fell apart a long time ago. X( And he's been using his fists for the past day or two. The weapon he picked up is a sledgehammer. Guess he feels more confident with one of these than an actual gun. -------------------- |

The Hobo came upon an abandoned town to the north, full of walking claws of death. The Hobo remembered a lot of mines from Minefield and how he could place them around the town of walking claws of death, so they would jump, hop and skip as he would shoot them. The Hobo will go back to Minefield and stuff his backpack with mines, then he'll return to the old town and dance with deathclaws. The Hobo may have once feared deathclaws but he does no longer - at least they're from this planet, and the same can't be said for the white fallen flying platter.
