I found out from the inspector that was here yesterday that all the little cone-shaped holes that I've been seeing in the back yard are ground bees = explaining why my dog doesn't want to do her business in the back yard anymore. Urk.

What do I do about that? Anyone know?

I don´t know. Call professional exterminators, maybe? Might be worth it if it´s as bad as you say.

I actually did want to make a cement slab right where these bees are nesting in the ground; make a nice little patio there with maybe a hot tub on it and some lattice for privacy. But unfortunately; that is out of the question financially without a nice Mirocu bird living nearby with a 'Cavator who enjoys making driveways for neighbors,

Exterminators = they won't deal with bees here, and if you have a large bee population you can't even get them to come out to your house till you take care of it,

I'm going to try sprinkling borax around the holes, or maybe garlic powder.

Ordinary bees would be bad enough but ... Vampire Bees?
