Are you sure the Nordic Dunmer doesn't have just a bit of wood elf in his blood? Or perhaps he's just spent lots of time with one. happy.gif

Regardless, I know he can pitch a tent wherever he wants and can conjure up forest friends to keep him company and even fight for him.

Roaming out of civilization is definitely fun, right? It's amazing how long you and Lothran have been together.

So I've been modding the life out of oblivion before I began with Jessika's journey. Better cities, natural environments, landscape additions, and quarts texture pack. Now Cyrodiil looks even more beautiful.

I added character overhaul for Jessica's face but it's not growing on me.

Hopefully I'll start updating soon! Maybe even continue Jess of Valor.

Andrea, glad your game is looking good. Hopefully, with a bit of tweaking, Jessika will come out to your liking. I look forward to seeing some more fiction from you - be it an Oblivion or Skyrim story. smile.gif

Lothran is currenly eating breakfast at Luthor´s establishment. A nice, relaxing walk from the Red Ring road (east side) southwards to Pell´s Gate with the occasional bandit fight took him to the Great City. Awaiting shops to open, Lothran will then once again walk towards Bravil and Leyawiin.

This was one of those amazing sessions where no action was needed and it was just a pleasure to walk and gawk smile.gif

Well, my last character died off. He was inspired by a character in a series of books, and when I burned out on those it pretty much took my character with them.

But, after thinking that it might be fun to play a Breton Sorcerer born under the Apprentice, one turned up!

Pic 1
Pic 2

Kazimir Dayton, something of an oddball really. I originally took his name out of the strategy guide, so he was named Casamir Donat, but he objected so strenuously to that that I felt compelled to restart the tutorial to get his name right. And when the box popped up telling me that I needed a weapon, he scoffed and retorted "Magic is my weapon!", and backed that up by flaring his way through the tutorial. I think he might also be my first character to use a mix of armour; he seems to favour heavy armour for his upper body and light armour for his legs and feet. Leather boots and greaves with a steel cuirass and iron gauntlets actually looks pretty good though, so he might be onto something there.

He's currently just gotten off the boat in Anvil, early in the morning after the Emperor's assassination, which is something of a surprise for him. When he'd turned in for the night he'd been heading to the Imperial City. laugh.gif

Wow, I have never been able to create a male character who looked that good in Oblivion. He looks familiar, like an actor I know, but I cannot put a name to the face.

It is even better how he turned out. When a character speaks that loud and clear to you about who and what they are, you are on to something good. One of the reasons I like going through the tutorial dungeon in Oblivion is that it gives me a chance to get to know my character, and find out what they like and what they don't.

Have you seen Thorney's Dunmer males? He is a genius with those slide bars on Character Creation.

He really looks great as do most of your other characters, CT. And just like others, I'm sure that Kazimir will join the Mages Guild. wink.gif

I'm glad his surname isn't Donat else that'd make me giggle when I'd read it, Donat is a brand name of a purgative in Slovenia, the best friend of some of my older patients. bigsmile.gif

And another piece of information: name Kazimir is fairly common in our parts among elderly, it consists of two words "kazi + mir", kazi is derived from the verb "kaziti" which means to disturb / to spoil while "mir" means peace, so Kazimir means something like "disturber of peace". I'm sure that your Kazimir won't disturb any peace, though.

That pretty much the reason I always take every character through the tutorial, if even if my character's going to start somewhere else, just to find out how they're different. I don't know if I've had one respond to one of the tutorial's pop up boxes though, so that's kind of fun laugh.gif

Well, now I see why Kazimir didn't like the name Donat. He'd have ended up being a purgative known for disturbing the peace! ohmy.gif rollinglaugh.gif

It's the lack of facial hair, in my case, which is why I have way more males in Skyrim than I do in Oblivion.

Good to see your new t00n there, CT. I know what you mean about getting that name right, believe me!

Bravil, ca 7PM

Lothran and I have been to Bravil a few times already this summer, but we´ve never really hung around. We´ve always moved on to Skingrad and Cheydinhal and the forests. Now it feels like we´re here to stay and reacquaint ourselves with the area. It´s like meeting an old buddy; although you know them very well you have to update yourselves and sort of get in sync again.

I left Lothran on his chair by the fireplace. What happens next is anyone´s guess but I think getting into the spirit of Bravil is a safe bet. Take that for what you will smile.gif
