I think my next and probably last gun to get for awhile is going to be a .44 Magnum. I'm looking at the Taurus Raging Bull .44 Magnum and the price is about right. If I get it I'll show the picture of the sexy beast.

I had a .44 Mag once. It was a snub nose and the recoil was absolutely brutal. I shot .44 Special through it and it was very nice. With a full size gun it may not be as bad.

Anyway I didn't get the .44 Mag BUT I did get another sexy magnum. Say hello to my little friend! It's a .357 Magnum and it can shoot a .38spl. It shoots great but I really need to change the grip on it, it's hard to get my hand around it.

Oh yeah, pump action is great. Khajiit has a short-ish 3inch magnum double barrel (side by side) 20-gauge for home defense

Doesn´t Khajiit have claws for that? biggrin.gif

If you're getting a derringer Bond Arms probably makes the most solid one that exists. Those solid hunks of steel remind me of classy old guns like the 1911 or High Power.

The derringer is one of the oldest existing designs still in current production and as such is a really neat piece of any collection. Even most people who dislike guns are normally okay with the two shot derringer.

Funny you mentioned Hickok as I just watched him shooting one laugh.gif.

The Derringer I have is from Bond Arms, I love it (my neighbors didn't as they called the cops on me for my test firing last night...oh well screw them tongue.gif ). I do need to get a different grip as the one I have is a little too wide for my hand, other then that I love it happy.gif.

Yeah I saw you'd bought the Bond. Sorry for the confusing post. I was just noting that your Bond Arms derringer is a great choice, I was reinforcing the quality of your purchase. I was meaning "if you're going to get a derringer" that the Bond is the way to go in a general sense. Don't forget to submit your warranty registration, it's a lifetime warranty!

I think I got the warranty when I bought it. I will say one thing if I want to a different caliber Derringer all I have to do now is change the barrel to the .45ACP/410 barrel biggrin.gif .

They all come with the warranty but you usually need to fill out the factory warranty registration to activate it. You can also register on their website instantly.

Enjoy this video of me and my father playing with our new toys.
A day at the range.

I'll say one thing firing a Deringer isn't as smooth as firing a revolver.

The one perk of owning a Derringer is that if I want to upgrade to a .45ACP/410 instead of buying another Derringer all I have to do is simply buy the barrel for it and swap it with my .357 mag/.38spl barrel since the trigger and action part of the gun is compatible. Pretty niffty little handgun if I say so myself....now just to buy a new grip cause I HATE the wood one for it, oh it's okay but it's thick around the middle part as it makes my hand cramp trying to hold/shoot it. Still I don't regret buying it best handgun purchase EVER biggrin.gif .

Considering if I want a different caliber all I have to do is buy a new barrel which are inexpensive ($225.00 for a 4.25 inch barrel or $180.00 for a 3.5 inch barrel which is what I got), OH YEAH I LOVE my new handgun biggrin.gif.

Over here, if you want another caliber barrel for the same gun it´s a whole nother license application. It´s treated as its own individual firearm but you still need the same mechanism because that barrel ain´t gonna shoot anything by itself.

It´s like if you needed a separate license for shooting slugs in your shotgun. But then again, we have licenses on suppressors too. Makes sense though. I guess they can be used as throwing weapons... wink.gif

Heck a Ruger Super Blackhawk was painful to shoot, I can only imagine how a shorter barrel would be blink.gif .

Found a video with Hickok45 where he shoots the SCCY CPX-2 doubleaction pistol. Nice little gun, if I could get it I don´t think I would mind it smile.gif
