I know I always say I´m happy without a job, but I wouldn´t mind a job like the one Cain has where I can sleep through the day and only wake up when it´s time to go home

For someone who has only had a physical job in a factory, it´s impossible to imagine that someone can 'work' when sitting at a computer

Wasn't always like this for me. Up until last year I was a service technician, and drove around fixing people's locks/doors/cameras/card systems all day.

Still do. There's only two of us that manage an entire University's key and card system. This is our slow time of year, so I find myself in the office more than on campus.

Do locks break down that more often in summer?


I´d imagine they would need more maintenance during winter.

No, but because the students are gone, we get free reign to maintain anything we want, as well as inventory dorm keys.

They products that we use on exterior doors were selected for their ability to hold up to the cold with minor issues.

I used to have Oblivion on my old laptop, played about with modding it, but I never really took to it as much as on the 360. I guess Oblivion just has that quality

There is aa lot more to it than hanging out at the office on a computer. Heck, even yesterday afternoon, I had to drop a door that was rubbing on the threshold, take the barrel hinges off of it, and install a full length surface mounted continuous hinge and re-hang it.

That does sound like something I´d be happy to be doing.

I have a unique blend of skills for my line of work. Typically guys are either a locksmith (mechanical) or an access control tech (electrical). I'm both, which is how I landed a cushy university job at only 26.

The guys I used to work with that were mechanical only are all in there 50's and still are road techs.

Locksmithing is actually quite easy to pick up. Access Control, a little less so.
