Alan Webb updates are so low-key. As I'm reading them, I'm hearing a sort of 'tough guy' voice narrating. Like, the guy is reading and speaking in low tones, all like serious, and stuff. I can't think of what actor I'm hearing in my head though. Oh well. QUOTE(Acadian @ Nov 5 2016, 04:41 PM) I see the Webster continuing to knock and bash his way through the badlands. He does have kind of a mean streak like Rattler but, it it feels . . . righteous instead of just cruel or vicious like Rattler.
Nobody has a mean streak like Rattler did.

@Acadian - Webb's righteous to some extent though there will be instances when his righteousness will get questionable to an extent. Coming soon. @Renee - Webb has quite a deep voice himself, at least that's how I 'hear' him. He talks quite slow too and swears rarely, at least openly. @mALX - if you want, I can create another Rattler for the Mojave. Name him/her "Angel Face" for instance except that there would be nothing angelic about him/her. __ Alan Webb spotted “the shadows” amidst the ruins ahead. In the dark night it seemed like they weren’t moving at all, like they were statues made of black sand, but the RobCo device on Webb’s wrist knew better – the shadows were very much alive and they represented threat. He picked off some of them from a distance. Some never saw it coming while some were running towards him as his bullets forever stopped them. As he was slowly approaching the ruins, more shadows emerged from dark corners, and some even came from the dry lake that lay behind the ruins. They all fell just like their brothers and sisters before. By the time the shooting stopped, the Sun was already rising in the east, casting the shadows away, revealing their true form – Jackals, desert raiders and cannibals. By dawn’s early light they no longer looked as fearsome as by night. As Webb was leaving the rest stop behind, mutated ravens were already flying over the place in circles, ready to feast on fallen Jackals.

Andrew Lincoln from Walking Dead. I can see him narrating these quickies! QUOTE(Lopov @ Nov 7 2016, 03:29 PM) @mALX - if you want, I can create another Rattler for the Mojave. @SubRosa - playing someone as evil as Rattler in the Mojave is more difficult than in FO3 because sooner or later you'd have those pesky assassins squads chasing you all over the wastes. While it's possible to disable them, I like to have them added because they give a feeling that your character actually did some bad things and deserves to be executed. I use a mod that makes them attack less often, though. @Renee - oh come on, Renee, I knew you found Rattler absolutely breathtaking. @Acadian - Webb was the last person those Jackals never saw. __ “Would you like our Dino Dee-Lite ordinary room or our luxurious Florens’ Bungalow?” Jeannie May Crawford, the proprietor of Dino Dee-Lite Motel in Novac, asked her newest customer who introduced himself as Alan Webb. She made sure to grin all along so the young man wouldn’t turn around and leave Novac. Despite Jeannie was in her late fifties, she often wore short skirts, partly to get more customers (male) and partly because she thought that her legs were still as good as thirty years ago. “Bungalow sounds more to my tastes,” answered Webb. “How much, madam?” “150 caps and it’s yours to keep. At least until the busy season comes.” Jeannie May dived under the counter to get a key to the bungalow. “This means that it’s mine forever?” smiled Webb. Jeannie May cheekly winked at Webb but he didn’t return the wink. Better keep old prunes at bay. … Manny Vargas, the sniper in Novac, was the only one who knew where Webb’s attackers were heading but before sharing the information, he asked Webb for a favor – to get rid of ghouls at nearby Repconn Test Site. After battling a horde of feral ghouls, Webb finally met with their leader who seemed friendly enough for ghoul's standards. Ironically for a glowing ghoul, the leader’s name was Jason Bright. He claimed that he’s going to lead his brothers and sisters on some “Great Journey”, because “the Creator” showed him the way and that in his visions Webb was essential in fulfilling the journey. Alan Webb had enough of his semi-religious ramblings somewhere halfway through and sent all ghouls, Bright included, on the great journey indeed – with his grenade rifle. Novac was better off without them. Perhaps he should ponder a day or two whether he did the right thing but in the end he’ll get over it. As he always did.

Sorry Renee for saying this, but- Rattler had style. Just not style that everybody appreciated.... He got a thumbs up from me though. Just for those close up pics with his hand-to-hand knife fights. I can still remember the droplets flying across the screen. They were almost enough to make Loviatar thirsty, or hungry, or both.... This post has been edited by Winter Wolf: Nov 11 2016, 09:47 AM

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Nov 9 2016, 11:27 PM) The busy season? Is that when the Legion invades? Whoa, harsh way to deal with the Bright Followers. Alan does not mess around. Jeannie always says that you can keep the room (or bungalow in my case) until the busy season comes but I don't know what that's supposed to mean in a wasteland. Webb was my first character to kill Bright's ghouls outright. I had a character before who sabotaged their rockets while most others helped them on their Great Journey as they wished. QUOTE(Renee @ Nov 9 2016, 11:35 PM) Damn, he wouldn't return her cheekly wink, or whatever you just called it. Shot down! Webb's not interested in old slap-up tarts. QUOTE(Acadian @ Nov 10 2016, 01:56 AM) I kind of agree with Renee - not much patience for rambling fanatics. Lol. Those ghouls actually aren't that bad but they can be annoying and they're selfish because they employ services of one human who thinks he's a ghoul while he's actually not. QUOTE(Winter Wolf @ Nov 11 2016, 09:42 AM) Sorry Renee for saying this, but- Rattler had style. Just not style that everybody appreciated.... I'm glad to see that despite Rattler's been rotting in his grave for some time now, he still gets a lot of attention from his public. That'd be just what he wanted. No new update on Webb today but there'll be more in days ahead as he catches up with men that tried to kill him.

Great Khans were mostly a tribe of drug dealers and thugs for hire, and while they would definitely deserve to be brought to justice, at the end of the day Lt. Monroe was pondering whether they deserved to die such a horrible death.
Great Khans were caught in a crossfire with the NCR and retreated to Boulder City, where they were keeping two unlucky NCR soldiers as hostages. At first they were dubious about the cowboy who approached them with hands raised high above his head. He introduced himself as Webb and said he only wanted to exchange a few words with their leader, that he might perhaps help them out of their current situation.
Khans let him in their hideout…only when they heard a loud explosion from the inside and their leader Jessup came running out, set on fire, screaming for help, they figured that Webb came to exchange more than just a few words.
It was too late for Great Khans to make things right, though. In fact they were all sentenced to death by Webb before he even met them in person, but fools didn’t know that. After he finished off Jessup, Webb lured remaining Great Khans back inside the hideout where he repeated the lesson from before – bombarding them with incendiary grenades until they died a painful, violent death, screaming as fire was consuming them alive. What NCR couldn't accomplish in a few days, Webb completed in a matter of minutes. Who's incompetent now?
Even better, Great Khans were so occupied with Webb that they forgot on two soldiers that they held as hostages. When the fight was over, Webb liberated both Private Gilbert and Private Ackerman, ensuring their safe return to their unit, and possibly in the future, to their families. Private Gilbert told him that if she ever has a son, his name will be Alan, to which Webb said that he'll be honored. The rest of the platoon were thankful to Webb and saw him as a savior, which he definitely was, but their superior Lt. Monroe didn’t like him that much. He got a strong feeling that Alan Webb really enjoyed killing Khans, that seeing them on fire, screaming and helpless as they were dying, made him feel satisfied.
With Jessup and Khans dead, Alan Webb closed the first chapter of the Revenge, a book which he was "writing in his head". In the book those that tried to kill him, would be harshly punished. Maybe in the future he'll pay a visit to remaining Great Khans of the Red Rock Canyon and exterminate them but now it was time for the second chapter to begin. Benny, the man who shot Webb in the head, was next in line. But while Benny merely shot Webb in his head, Webb intended to shoot Benny off his head.
