Technically someone unimportant can be assassinated, but it requires some fairly specific motivation. Political or religious, according to the dictionary.


On an unrelated note, had a wtf moment in Skyrim earlier. Got buzzed by a dragon that decided to circle me and Lydia for a while before it flew off and disappeared.

Yeah that is a random encounter that happens occasionally. Apparently Dragons have to be in a mood to try and kill you.

Really? I figured it was a glitch or something. Then again that whole session was kinda surreal. The dragon turned up just after I helped Talsgar the Wanderer clear out the above-ground section of Halted Stream Camp. I don't even know why he was there, or why he was attacking them, but I was heading there anyway so thought I'd tag along

Lol, yeah Khajiit is not even sure how you would use an NES with a modern tv. This one used to have an old "rabbit ears" tv with dial knobs that he played his NES and SNES on and he used an RF Switch to make it work.

There is a random encounter spawner near Halted Stream, and Talsgar probably just "wandered" right into the bandit camp! Or rather, he was probably pulled there when he drew agro from the bandits by being too near the camp.

Khajiit's favorite is when two factions have a skirmish. Sit back, wait for a winner, and mop up the rest!

Because the dragons have a fast movement, and a short attention span, they can make things get out of hand very quickly. If you have a dragon encounter close to the giants and mammoths, they often go chase them instead of you, and I've managed to draw out the Halted Stream and Moon Forge bandits to get involved as well. I even got the "old Orc" into the mix once. I'm never sure, when these multi-way fights get going, if the game engine assigns sides, or everyone just fights everyone else.

I think I remember Acadian citing one in the Skyrim thread not long ago, possibly with a picture of the aftermath.

Reminds me of Ghost Recon Wildlands when Santa Blanca Cartel and Unidad forces attack each other, sometime it makes sneaking around them easier .
