I have had guns for about fifteen years due to us having a plot of land on which to hunt for moose and deer. However I have always had a bigger interest in the shooting part than the hunting part, and since I came across hickok45 on youtube that interest has gotten new life.

I just love how he does it. Instead of only shooting moose paper targets like we do here, he shoots at flower pots, car doors, metal figures and 2 liter soda cans etc. I quickly realized that's what I want to do too though unfortunately I have limited abilities since our plot of land is shaped the way it is which is quite narrow with neighbours not too far away. But I did put up a few brick targets earlier this fall and had a go on them with my .30-06 semi-auto, and it really was such a fun way of shooting! Though needless to say, that round is pretty expensive and I may go look for a smaller caliber in the near future.

This is one instance where I kinda wish I was a Murican. Our views on guns here is they should only be used on paper targets or clay pigeons and for hunting and it should only be done to better ourselves. Just having fun like this or defend ourselves simply doesn't exist here which is a shame. But I'll do my part to change that...

Made a payment on my .44 Magnum. I'll get it out the 29th if things go well.

Got a Springfield 9mm with a nice laser sight for $200. It was a deal I couldn't pass up lol.

I think next paycheck I might try to either buy another AK-47 (or an SKS) or if the gun store still has it the 45.ACP Hi-Point Rifle that sucker was awesome to shoot and accurate. If not a rifle then a .44 Mag.

Using the 2nd amendment like a BOSS!



Test fired my thirty-ought the day before yesterday. Not using any scope this time since I want other attachments to bring the scope further back. Plus, after having fired my .22 levergun this summer only using iron sights I sort of have taken a liking to it. Anyway, one shot at that green bird = one hit. Good enough. A deer is quite a lot bigger

Pro tip for cheapskates: dry fire using snap caps! Uses much less expensive ammo this way.

Went gun shopping at Academy and saw a Taurus Judge revolver. It shoots the 45 Long Colt and .410 shotgun shells. Be a nice home and personal defense and yes Hickok45 made a video of it too.

And yes; I have seen that video

He even did the S&W Governor which is like the Judge but can shoot the .45ACP round. That's REALLY tempting to get but its like $700.00 while the Judge is $399.00-$475.00 depending on the model.

Perfect defense weapon and you don't have to worry about the bullet going through the person. Now I just need to figure out do I want the $399.00 version (short handle) or the $475.00 (a longer handle ). The 399.00 one won't break my bank but the 475 one fits my hand like a glove.

The other one is only $75 more, a small amount when you are already talking hundreds. It will take you a little longer to get it if you do your usual layaway method, but you will have the gun you want when you do get it! Be patient and go with the long handle is Khajiit’s advice.
