I haven't bought a game in store in years. Especially since I play PC, and the PC selection was always crap. GameStop was selling an EW2 expansion last time I was in, that was 5 years old, that you didn't need to buy anymore.

They stopped carrying PC games a while ago now. And the prices for their tech trades is crap. I get more from a pawn shop or eBay.

<nods> I remember Gamestop, or rather the chain that became Gamestop, when it was half PC / half console. Ours carried the best selection of computer graphics cards within a 70-mile radius, including mom & pop computer shops. I bought at least two graphics cards there. Maybe two Creative Labs sound cards. At least one dial-up modem. A hard drive. A replacement floppy-drive. Likely other now-forgotten PC hardware. As for software, there was productivity, a big children's educational section, and of course tons of games. Was so saddening to see its PC component gradually, and sometimes not so gradually, dwindle to nothing. (Come to think on it, I used to buy Turbo Tax there every year.)

I remember buying hardware and software at the office supply store(Staples).

Got my copy of RedHat from there. Lol.

Well, there was one LP long ago that I watched but for whatever reason the uploader took it down. That was like 4-5 years ago too so it wasn't because of the new rules.

The part about the employer made me pause a bit because I'm not employed and I don't have say, retirement income.

Friend of mine said she got her decision on it in 55 days. I'll probably get mine in 55 months. lol. I can't even find the time to a decision page on their website anymore, so I have no idea how long it's estimated to take. Last I'd looked it was up to 36 months because they prioritize British nationals because of Brexit.

Edit, okay I found it.

There's two entries for "Citizenship application" and one says 12 months, the other days 36. There is no difference between the two of them that I'm seeing. So wtf.

Edit again, okay there's a difference. One is notification, the other is application. Applications taking 36 months. What the crap.

Ah, yes. Although I have the CD version with encahnced features, such as intro music and overall better music throughout the game. As well as fully rendered cutscenes with live actors. The LP I saw was the CD version too.
