In other news:
I got to see an Alienware Aroura and a PS5 and even got to touch them! The Aroura was $1700.00 smackers and the PS5 was about $900.00! Yeah that electronics store can keep them. Funny thing my PC is almost as powerful as the Aroura, it just needed the Ryzen 7 processor, mine has a Ryzen 5 which still does a fantastic job at gaming, I mean if the Aroura is first place, my PC is a VERY close runner up.

Got in an exercise-walk today! With the entire day forecast for showers, rains, and storms, it wasn't a given. My original thought, based on an early morning hourly forecast, was to head out around 1300, that hour being allotted to scattered showers only. However, the forecast changed. I headed out sometime around 1030-1045. Wise decision. No precipitation. Little water on streets. What's more, I finished up at the exact perfect time. I turned onto my street to see the mailperson open my mailbox and fill it with goodies! At that point I was only a lot-length from being done. Inside the mailbox were two Amazon orders as expected, the new issue of MaximumPC Magazine, a TrcCare-for-Life billing statement showing that they covered all remaining costs for recent medical appointments / CPAP items, and an invitation to attend a High school reunion.

Neither Amazon order is overly exciting. However, one is a short book on the history of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway (LB&SCR), a favorite of mine. Much of it is historic photos, so will take little time to read.

Managed to develop a farm in SimVille! That is difficult as industrial buildings tend to develop in the same zone. Now I'm looking to finally develop a seaport.


Oh, and today I got my first confirmed ASTRONOMICAL landvalue! It decreased to "very high" later but STILL!

I suppose it was only a matter of time after Microsoft bought them. A shame we couldn’t get more of the official forum long timers to join us here, but oh well.

We use discord to support Chorrol's ESO guild. It is very nice for coordinating events and excels at providing voice comm. Unless there are dramatically different formats used for supporting a forum, I can't imagine a forum (especially a large one) working with discord. The idea of posting/reading fanfic on a discord forum makes my head hurt. How would you even do that?

I'm so glad all the 'Trey-babies' came over here in March 2010 when the official forums went to a format that was unfriendly to fanfic.

Discord servers.. my wow guild server has less than 50 people on it and it's a pita to keep track of conversation even overnight sometimes.

I can afk from EnaiSiaon's discord for half an hour and lose track of stuff.

I'm a member of about 4 or so wow discord servers and a FFXIV one. The scroll fast and you have to mute the darn thing or your phone goes off every 2 seconds.

It's a batch of fresh hell.

Well, can't say I'm sorry for not joining Bethnet then.

Dude I'm on Discord and avoiding it.

Apparently though the traffic was minimal. ESO gas had more traffic recently than beth net did over it's entire lifespan. People weren't using those forums.

I prefer the forum style and I am so happy chorrol has stayed the same as ever.

Yeah guildmates were talking about it today. One's YouTube wasn't working and the other asked about adblock since they apparently changed some backend stuff so adblock don't work.
