QUOTE(Renee @ Mar 28 2021, 01:52 AM) QUOTE(Acadian @ Mar 27 2021, 08:02 PM) Cho-Sin-Reservoir and the water purification project! ha ha yup. Scribe Bigsley looks like an uglier Todd Howard, by the way. I should take a screenshot of his face next time Cho meets up with him. Actually here is Scribe Bigsley.. And here is Todd Howard. What do you think? Is there a resemblance? OMG, he really does look like Todd Howard! (I didn't need to look at Todd's pic to know that; I made a Todd Howard character for one of my Oblivion mods, lol). QUOTE(Renee @ Jul 4 2021, 09:18 AM) QUOTE(mirocu @ Jul 2 2021, 10:38 AM) Gotta earn those caps!
It's so funny to me how Mirocu is like this totally rich guy in his time, millions of caps by now. Yet if he were to be somehow transported back to our time, all those caps would be worthless. He'd show up to some bank, looking to cash in and buy a home with a pool in Alexandria, a robot, and a Lexus. Only to find himself getting laughed out onto the sidewalk. Bottles are worth a few pennies in America, depending which state we're in. In Michigan they are (or were) worth a dime, for each one brought to a recycling facility. Nobody cares about the caps, though. ah geez. I'm just messin' with ya Crow, as usual. I remember when I was so hooked on Fallout 3 that when I drove my son to his first day starting middle school that I saw a bunch of bottle caps on the ground and pointed to the pile and called out = "Look, get those bottle caps!" QUOTE(mirocu @ Aug 13 2021, 10:21 AM) Jumped between merchants to find someone with caps for my goods, and then Gunny and I went northbound and had some fun with the Talons there. After that we went south. Currently going north again via the car bridge.
Ah, I love running through that Talon Company at their headquarters!

Wait, so are YOU in the game, or your character? If it's your character, how would Mirocu know about me? Kidding. I'm always kidding with you, aren't I mirocu? 5 10 25 could be the coins which once worked in those phone booths. 5 cents = a nickle 10 cents = a dime25 cents = a quarterNobody actually uses caps in America, not in our times anyways.

Renee is funny I have just finished Plik's safari and sold off a bunch of stuff to Panada. I also briefly visited Kenny in his cave. As night has fallen I am approaching the ritual site. Another hunt has begun... ------------------------ UPDATE: Have just cleared the ritual site. Sneaked close enough for the Fatman and since they were all bunched up together, only one bomb was needed. Although one Bruiser was lucky to escape the blast somehow so my trusty Vulcan took him out instead. I've also cleared the detention camp; the ghouls won the battle this time as many of them raged against the machines. But as always, once everything was looted by yours truly, both bots were resurrected. From a safe distance of course ------------------------ UPDATE: I have now gone full circle and am now back onboard the Dutchess Gambit. As usual I went SW-ish from the detention camp to some of the landmarks, passed the manor and down to the beach. From there I killed off some smugglers while moving towards the playgrounds. Next session will see me back in the Capital Wasteland where I and Gunny will rush home to Megaton to hibernate. This post has been edited by mirocu: Oct 22 2021, 05:23 PM

QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 22 2021, 12:24 PM) This concludes the 2021 season.
Really? Now what are you gonna play? Or are you taking a break from gaming for awhile?

*click* Pipboy App ON, Date: Sunday 06.29.78 11:22 AM
Location: West of Fort Independence.
Yo, it's Cho. Talking low, out here in the blow. Sorry. Been listening to this new radio station on my Pip Boy 3000® lately. There's this new radio station and they play Prewar music which was called "hip hop". What I was just doing was "rapping". Or trying to. I don't think I'm any good at it. Maybe I should keep my day job, which I'm pretty excellent at. Break.
So I'm out here in the wasteland, looking for a fellow by the name of *unidentified word* Dumb. Big fellow. The message I got from the kiosk back in Megaton says he's a super mutant, but a big one. Maybe he's a behemoth. Or maybe not, it doesn't say. Sucker's mine, either way. The note says *unidentified word* Aw, [censored]. Hold on. Break.
R. U. G. A. Dumb. That's his name. Just realized the app won't recognize his first name. What a stupid name, by the way. Why does he call himself "dumb?" Was he named that by somebody? Hey, anything's possible out here in the Capitol Wasteland. Break.
Anyway, the mutant captured a bunch of wastelanders, or so says the note I got from Deputy Wheeler. He's been a real threat out here. Supposedly, the mutant lives somewhere right here, but so far we haven't been able to find the damn place. But maybe that's changed. Break.
*Unidentified sounds. Pip Boy App® cannot decipher.... 10 seconds ... 20 seconds ....
Just found several gore bags hanging nearby. Basically, these bags are made from the organs of deceased creatures like centaurs. They store their things in these bags, probably because they think a fellow like me is too disgusted to search through them. And they'd be right. I am not going to search through their disgusting bags. You got that right, buddy. Break.
But at least we know this: if there's gore bags, there's bound to be mutants. Another thing. The note from Wheeler said something about people being taken from nearby a burned out car partially blocking the road. And I'm looking at a burned-out car partially blocking the road. Break.
*Unidentified sounds. Pip Boy App® cannot decipher.... 10 seconds ... 20 seconds .... 30 seconds....40 seconds...*
You know what? [censored] it. I'll search the bags. Because I don't see HOLY [censored] ENCLAVE!!!
*Unidentified sounds. Pip Boy App® cannot decipher.... 10 seconds ...20 seconds ... 30 seconds ... 40 seconds ....*
ARGH MY LEG! ... MY LEG! [censored]ers got me!
*Warning: Pip Boy App[r] resource battery low. Please find charging port soon, and recharge Pip Boy App® resource battery.*
Whoa that was intense. Vertibird just flew over, flew right over me, it did. Just shot the hell out of it as it flew over me, but it didn't explode right away. Those [censored]ers were able to get out, and start blasting me. Good thing my C-team is nearby. Got them on it. Break.
Ah dammit. It says my Pip Boy battery is*click* Pipboy App OFF, Date: Sunday, 06:29:78, 12:57 PM Notes: Wish I'd taken screenshots of that one! Cho managed to shoot and hit a vertibird, and it caught fire. But it was able to land, and three soldiers got out. Cho's C-team was nearby, so I clicked a hotkey, and they came running to help him. Cho got hit pretty badly though, and he's limping now. But THEN, a group of radscorps attacked, but they attacked the Enclave! Two albinos, two giants, and one smaller scorp. They finished off the Enclave, but then they came for the Citadel Team! That was intense. This post has been edited by Renee: Nov 27 2021, 06:31 PM

I told you that finding him is probably more difficult than killing him. He's not that far, though, I didn't place him on the other end of the map. He has a hideout, though, so you won't find him walking out in the open.

QUOTE(Kane @ Dec 22 2021, 02:25 PM) I've a random question about New Vegas. Are junk items used for anything? In Fallout 4 all junk can be broken down to base components and used for crafting,
Yes, some items which might be considered junk in Fallout 3 can be used during quests for New Vegas. The cook in Fort McCarran needs a whole bunch of items for instance, to get his kitchen in better working condition. Spigots, Food Processors, Pilot Lights, and so on. I'm not sure if anything can be broken down for crafting, but we can make our own ammo (right Lopov?) QUOTE Is junk just useless crap to sell? There might be some items in New Vegas which absolutely cannot be used for anything except a few caps, not really sure. This post has been edited by Renee: Dec 24 2021, 08:33 PM
