My season favorability ratings, most to least:
Autumn - storms, but not near as many as Spring. Comfortable temps.
Summer - Too darn hot for several months, and high humidity. Storms generally don't include tornadoes. I'd rate it lower, except that being retired, I can plan my days so as to avoid having to venture outdoors in the worst of the heat.
Winter - This might have ranked higher. Relatively mild for the most part, with at least one stretch of too-cold temps. I don't handle too-cold weather well anymore.
Spring - storm after storm after storm, many with potential tornadoes. (This year was an exception, as many of our predicted dangerous storms fizzled out.)

Needing room for a new pair of exercise shoes in my shoe-rack, I noticed three pairs of corfams. Why on earth do I need that many? Or any, for that matter? Due to sentimentality, I decided to pick the best preserved pair and chuck the rest. What actually happened was that the shiny outer corfam shell of every shoe cracked, then crumbled into pieces as I removed them from the rack. The floor looked as if it was covered in black potato chips! Not that it matters in the least. I can't for the life of me think of a single function I might possibly want to participate in where such shoes are essential, or even desirable.

(NOTE: "Corfams" are a type of very-shiny military dress shoe that, while requiring periodic maintenance to look their best, do no require conventional shining.)

Well I decided that I needed to be punished and bought Dark Souls 2 off of Steam. Actually I'm doing quite well and only died to a boss once, looks like Elden Ring and Conan Exiles has prep me to play Dark Souls. I might buy DS1 and 3 on the first IF I don't buy an airsoft Kriss Vector fist.
