He probably has. It's just about mandatory here. I need it to pay bills online, lig into the medical stuff and any government sites, hell even some retailers. What's worse is it's not owned by the government... It's owned and administrated by the banks, so if you don't have an account, you can't get it. And banks, while not allowed to, LOVE to deny immigrants and people without jobs bank accounts. If I didn't have inheritance to transfer, they'd never have opened me one.

Yeah, that was one of the reasons I got this phone anyway because I need that sh%t for when I'm unemployed mid-September.


It's even worse than that; at any given moment the banks can decide to close your bank account, stating they don't know you as a customer well enough and you can therefore be suspected for money laundering and/or funding merrorism. What's even more perfect is that even if you can explain every single transaction for the last two years they can still just shrug and say you have two weeks to find another bank. This has happened to many business owners and regular citizens alike.
