Yea

Got some probably fake notices about my card being declined for online purchase from what looked like my bank. Almost clicked to open but stopped myself last second, closed them and went to my bank the usual way and I had no notices.


Be careful out there, people.

Yeah i only obey notices from my bank app. Text messages from my bank come from a very specific number and are verifiable in the app as well. Sometimes a large purchase requires small authorization.

Well, seems like the notifications were real. A gaming company I never heard of has apparently tried to charge money from my card. Thank goodness I disabled it for online purchases!


It was only a bit over 20 bucks but still!

The heck?

Yeah. I have no idea how they got my card info but at least my bank knows about it now.


Edit: They told me not to sweat since my card isn't available for online purchase. But still; the heck??

Yeah, it's weird.

Get your bank to issue you a new card, sounds like trouble. Somehow someone got your card info. Need to freeze that card and get a totally new card reissued. I had this happen last year, same thing = but I accidentally clicked on the first notice. I drove right to my bank and froze all my accounts, had them change the account numbers and credit card numbers, etc.

Well, I have sent a request for a new card number. We'll see what they say.


No money gone btw but I did empty that particular account myself

Not much going on my end.
My Dad got a new truck.
I got few things ordered like a microwave bacon rack, a M249 and Queen Marlena MOTU Origin figure.
Also be taking my Dad to Buffalo Wild Wings for his birthday as it's a tradition of ours and that's about it.

What truck did he get and was it brand new?

It's a 2024 Dodge GMC with extended cab. I think it has 3500 miles on it. The truck is pretty close to being newish.

And yeah, that's very new. I have certainly never been close to owning a car that new at any point.

Nice neighborhood! Tell your Dad to be careful parking his new truck in public areas like at ball games, car racetracks, etc = the GMC trucks are the highest numbers for being stolen of any trucks; most are taken at public events parking lots.
