Hullo, people! The doors are open again, and the first rounds are on the house. The door sign says: QUOTE(minque @ Apr 30 2005, 01:22 AM) This is meant to be a place where you can talk about anything without having to stay on topic. Feel free to ask questions, to talk about the things in your life you like to share with your fellow-members. Or just step inside for a while, have a coffe and a good chat! You may feel free to post whatever you like as long as it is within the rules of the forum. But if the conversation degrades to spam, you will be treated as though you are spamming anywhere else on the forum. This is a thread where you can relax and talk about personal things, but it is not to be used as an excuse to make pointless posts. Please help to keep this alive and well and a place where we can meet and share. Enjoy your stay here!!! Before digging into the cookie-barrels, though... Behold - and behold ye well - the slightly more elaborate rules addendum. QUOTE(Alexander @ May 29 2005, 11:47 AM) We had intended the coffee shop to be a nice place where people could talk about their daily activities and such, kinda like the Lurkers Lair on the Official Forums. It didn't quite turn out that way though, people have been taking advantage of their freedoms in here, there has been a lot of spamming and even some flaming. We will not tolerate that any longer. So unfortunately we've had to decide to increase the rules for this thread. Of course the normal forum rules still apply, but we'll elaborate here.: 1. No spamming. We consider double posting and posting posts with only a few words to be spam. If you do that your post will be deleter or moved, do it too often and you might receive a warning for it. We also consider chit-chat spam. This forum has a special chat channel for chatting, you're welcome to go there, and chat with other members or with the staff as we're always there, doing it in here is not allowed. The address to that chatroom is: W4O chatAnd for assistence to use a chat like this, I recommend looking over this thread: http://forums.waiting4oblivion.com/viewtopic.php?t=248Or contacting one of the Administrators. 2. No discussion of accounts or warnings. There shall be no more discussion about members, about accounts, about how many warnings you've gotten or anything like that. 3. No trolling. No posting of random nonsense, no posting of irrelevant things, no posting the same thing over and over just to get it noticed, no swearing or flaming. 4. No religion or politics. No discussion about religion or politics is to be had in these threads. If you want to discuss religion or politics, please do make another thread, or if another such thread already exists, please post in it. If you have a question about the rules of the forums, feel free to ask it to either a Global Moderator or an Administrator. If you're unsure if something is fit to post here, it might be. Again best to ask a Global Moderator or Administrator. If you're wondering how we think a Lair or the Coffee Shop should look like, what we do allow, then I recommend taking a look at the Lurkers Lair at the Official Forums.

QUOTE(stargelman @ May 11 2006, 11:04 PM) You don't like red wine? You're crazy. Seconded QUOTE(ShogunSniper @ May 11 2006, 11:07 PM) well that's it. 7:30 tonight is the last time i'll see her. my girlfriend is actually off to Ohio (like 10 hours north) for the entire summer, and then she will likely come back here to TN only to actually move about an hour and a half west of here. this sucks Maybe you should consider finding another girlfriend?

What's intresting is that the systolic is only 10mmHg over the diastolic. Of course I am not about to give my medical opinion over the internet whilst knowing bugger all about the situation, but its interesting.
Sorry if that sounded a little callous. I didn't mean it that way.

I have to agree w/ Dantrag on that one. slightly on the upsetting side of things. and Wolfie I am sorry to hear about the blood pressure. will be hoping things improve for you. May I note that parents can be extremely frustrating. mother keeps nagging me about getting a license yet keeps telling me she wants me to have a job nearby so I don't have to drive How am I meant to practice driving to get my license when she doesn't want me driving . She confuses me at times

QUOTE(stargelman @ May 11 2006, 10:04 PM) You don't like red wine? You're crazy. Seriously though, just be grateful it's not high blood pressure. Low blood pressure is annoying, sometimes really annoying. But afaik you don't die of low blood pressure. High blood pressure on the other hand leads to a lot of very bad things. Edit: teh intarweb says you're supposed to drink coffee, work out and take hot and cold showers in the morning to combat this problem. Agree on that Starge, since I suffer from high blood-pressure, but it´s very well treated with a good medicine, so I really don´t "suffer" from it! QUOTE(Foster @ May 11 2006, 11:06 PM) What's intresting is that the systolic is only 10mmHg over the diastolic. QUOTE(DarkHunter @ May 12 2006, 12:49 AM) I feel sorry for you Shogun... try here online, the girls here obviously have the same interests as you! Meh! What´s that supposed to mean??? QUOTE(Dantrag @ May 12 2006, 01:19 AM) that's a little....creepy, DarkHunter. Mmmmm really! She confuses me at times Now that is the inconsistency of mothers! I do understand her ..see, she wants you to take the licence, then you can take her where she wanna go and things like that also it´s a sign of you growing up to a man..ok... Now of course she would hate to have you far off..I mean you´re her son for gods sake! Mothers don´t want their sons to ga away.....jeez I´ll hate it when my son will move out! (ok he´s 11) Bear with her! i´m also a mother..and I didn´t feel all that bad when my eldest daughter moved to US.....I won´t mind my younger daughter get a life..but I klnow myself, I´ll be devastated when sonny leaves!!!!

Man, that is not good, Wolfie. But at least now they have a handle on what is happening- hopefully treatment will be available and effective. Not to be scary, but the big problem with low BP is stroke. Basically, the walls of the blood vessels tend to be thin- then when BP spikes, they can't handle it. As far as mothers and sons- Minque is quite right. (Naturally ) Mrs. Treydog has two children from her first husband. Both live somewhat "away." And she misses her son the most. Not sure where that comes from, but moms really have a hard time with sons growing up and getting out on their own. What can I say- our families drive us crazy because they love us....

Well children have to go their own way someday... They start their own families, and only visit you casualy... I kinda know how you feel, because my mother misses me too, and I'm her only son . It's just a natural evolution of things. You'll get over it. Well, on the bright side, you have 7 years left, more\less. This post has been edited by HyPN0: May 12 2006, 07:37 PM

QUOTE(DarkHunter @ May 12 2006, 08:52 PM) Oh no you must not!!! Maybe you are to hard to understand sometimes.....hmm those things happens! But the result is you feel misunderstood..and that´s not god, you really shouldn´t. It´s like in the old song by the Animals "Don´t let me be misunderstood" or something..ah well let´s try to communicate better in the future shall we?
