QUOTE(milanius @ May 18 2006, 10:17 PM) We don't, Hypno. And yes, this is one of 99 little reasons I'd like to see our beloved mother Serbia as a single, independent country. No BS from anyone anymore, just one flag, one hymn, one banner shield... and one song. Indeed. Anyway, who should represented us in your opinion?

QUOTE(HyPN0 @ May 18 2006, 08:23 PM) Indeed. Anyway, who should represented us in your opinion? NO one. Bothy songs are P.O.S. if you ask me. The Flamingosi are even worse, but they got more attenttion just because they're from Belgrade Cat Juggling Belgrade & Podgorica, nowadays it's like only they exist...

Oooh yeah, it's that time of year again, isn't it? Time for that idiotic Grand Prix de la Chanson Eurovision, where you get to see all of Europe's worst in one big show. Granted, some people like it because they consider it craptacular (so bad it's funny) - I'm not one of them. I listen to all kinds of music really, but this? Blargh. Of course, every year you get someone who just participates to irritate everyone else, and that's mildly amusing. This year it's Lordi from Finland ("Hard Rock Hallelujah"). I don't know. I don' think I wanna suffer through all that crap just to see the annoyed faces of the crowd or hear someone comment on how this is an outrage.

Hehe.. Eurovision is a show filled with horrible, horrible music indeed. I like it when someone comes along every now and then to make it a bit interesting, like Finland this year. Don't know if anyone remember Norway's contribution last year? They were called Wig Wam, and was a glam rock sort of band playing typical 80's music like Kiss/Bon Jovi etc. Quite fun... Old guys dressed in glam clothes with lots of 80's make-up... Link: http://www.wigwam.no/I must confess I like Norway's contribution this year, though. Not your typical Eurovision crap, but a bit mystical and elvish...

QUOTE(Ibis @ May 18 2006, 10:16 PM) Well, I liked the entry and I's sorry to say that I'm not aware of the situation of Serbia. Could you explain it abit, if you don't mind? Yes, I am a stupid American ... a dumb Floridian ParrotHead to be exact! What is there to explain ?? We're just a bunch of self-hating idiots, we all hate each other... 'cept me, I hate myself... damn, and the day startet so nicely can't have one bloody day without fights.

Well I just learned that the song is actually called "Alvedansen", which means 'Dance of the Elves'/'Elven Dance' or however it would translate to. I swear I didn't know this before I wrote the above, indicating that the song actually reflects what it is supposed to, I guess... Anyway, just a few minutes until the grand finale now... They actually won. Where's that "Rolling on floor laughing" emoticon when you need it... QUOTE(Fuzzy Knight @ May 21 2006, 12:05 AM) I want to see the Lordi avatar soon Rane! Considering my current situation I'd say it will make its first appearance sometime during Wednesday.

QUOTE(Dantrag @ May 21 2006, 06:28 PM) I'm totally lost....is it like a european american idol? yah something like it. See it as american idol but this time every country has one singer. Or a small group of singers. I think it's kinda stupid, it's always more like a political battle than a real competition. :/
