2006-04-23 Oblivion for-pay mods reviewed Options

Today, we're taking a long good look at the first two official for-pay mods by Bethesda. There's a review for each of them that includes details on what exactly you can expect when you purchase these mods, screenshots, and my own personal opinion on them. I've also written a little editorial about the state of official mods, and what should be done to improve them.

When will you review the third plug-in? Some say that it is the only good one until now.

We hope to get the review for the third mod out today.

Bethsoft doesn't really need money. The problem is that they need money to pay voice-actors, people who makew the great graphics (it is not a piece of cake) and programers. MW's mods were simple to make, but OB's are much harder to make. Giving theme for free would be a waste of time.

That's ok with me. The price isn't.

Think about it. They recently said that each mod was bought over 10000 times. Nobody can tell me it costs them $20000 to make one of those mods. The price ain't right. And as I wrote, the content is insufficient as well.
