Everyone´s good wishes was not enough, I´m sorry to say. On May 31st the company I work for ceases to exist. There´s this big company that are gonna buy 80% of the machines and move them elsewhere, up to two locations. Some of us may get job there instead but even so it´s as far from the ideal solution as we can possibly get. Thus far I´ve had 5 minutes on my bicycle to work. I may get up to 45-60 minutes by car, if I even get a job offer at one of these two new places.

Needless to say, despite it´s Friday I´m a bit bummed...

In the States the unions make them give those to employees dropped after a merger. My best wishes that your situation comes out better than you expected or hoped.

I hope so too and I just got off the phone with this other company nearby I´ve been in contact with since January. Things don´t look too good there either though, they have all the people they need. But at least they know I´m still looking for a position there. We´ll see.

Ah man. Sorry, mirocu. I have been down that path myself and it was not pleasant. The good news is that I did come out the other side. In fact it was what finally got me off my rear long enough to learn to work on computers as more than a hobby.

But I will keep a good thought that you will find work that is what you want and soon.

Thank you At least I don´t owe anyone any money. I have no mortgages or anything. Still, it´s hard to find something new which I need anyway.

I´ve been with this company for a long time. Not that I loved the work itself but I really felt at home there. And being as we were not so many, those guys were almost my second family. That said we had our differences. But that´s like any family I guess
