QUOTE(Renee Gade IV @ Oct 7 2013, 09:18 PM) QUOTE(SubRosa @ Oct 7 2013, 04:13 PM) So did you finally take the plunge and get a PC then?
Yup, got the HP I was telling you about. Got it 2 weeks ago. It's been a blast. Windows 8 is kinda strange, but holy crap this is the fastest computer I've ever used. i also got a wireless mouse + keyboard and an Xbox-style controller for PC, although I haven't figured out how to get this controller working yet. I'll figure it out, though, even if I have to hire someone. Congrats! I wish I could help you with the x-box controller, but I don't have a clue about getting those to work. I have Windows 8 on my tablet, and I agree that it is kind of strange! Its like Windows 7, but with a phone OS look laid over the top of it.

Thanks! I'll figure it out eventually, and if I can't I'll literally hire somebody. Gaming's that important to me. I often game in bed, so having 2 devices at once (mouse & keys) while playing Oblivion or Skyrim just won't work. OH and On-topic: Kahreem of Weet has left Leyawiin. QUOTE(mirocu @ Oct 12 2013, 01:32 PM) As for the Nordic Dunmer, he has of now withdrawn to the Imperial City. It´s time to take things a little slower in preparation for his return to Bruma.
Oh wow, seems like he just left there. So which months does he choose to 'hibernate' in Bruma, then? I finally looked at how months correspond from Earth to Tamriel recently.

Buffy´s in Skyrim!??? When did her transition to that province happen!???? QUOTE(Renee Gade IV @ Oct 13 2013, 12:34 AM) Oh wow, seems like he just left there.
Time really flies, doesn´t it? QUOTE(Renee Gade IV @ Oct 13 2013, 12:34 AM) So which months does he choose to 'hibernate' in Bruma, then?
Mid-November till the end of March. However it´s not written in stone exactly what days he decides to travel, but some time around those dates.

Buffy´s in Skyrim!??? When did her transition to that province happen!???? Buffy's Skyrim visit is reaching Falkreath via the Jerall Mountains (all thanks to Ghastley's Falkreath mod!)! I've downloaded the mod too, and can't wait for Maxical to visit Ghastley's Falkreath (Maxical has been to Skyrim, but she prefers to remain in Cyrodiil and only visit Falkreath and the buxom waitress that Ghastley hired to run the inn, lol).

Oh, so ghastley has his own Skyrim mod for Oblivion? Didn´t know that His mods are AWESOME, he is highly respected on Nexus. Here is what Ghastley said about his Falkreath Oblivion Mod: QUOTE The Standalone http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42765/? mod that Acadian is using only has the town (needs borders turned off) and a single quest. One or two of the NPC's are missing, as they use content from one of the mods below. The http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42765/? mod includes an expanded role for the town if you also install http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/26343/? to add the bear riders. That's basically where those two overlap, with Uzgash being added there. It has an expanded version of the standalone quest, so there's nothing you need from that download if you have the other two. Each of the latter two mods has a base plugin, and an extra one for SI, so there's content in each for those who don't have the expansion. The SI parts add quests in the Isles, so it's fairly obvious in the walk-through what's dependent on it. The crossover part is included in the Gweden download. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's a bit of clarification needed here. My Falkreath mod (or the same thing in the other mod) just adds the town of Falkreath in the land that was already present in Oblivion beyond the invisible border. If you turn borders off in your game you can go there now, but you just won't find a town where Falkreath is supposed to be. It doesn't add any more of Skyrim, and if you go much further north, you'll still fall of the edge of the world.
I added a few houses, tavern, chapel, jail/guard-tower, and appropriate inhabitants on approximately the right point on the Oblivion map. The standalone mod has a single quest just in (actually under) the town. Gweden gets a another quest or two that have you go there, and expands the standalone mod's quest a little to fit in to the Red Dragon Club quest line. The townsfolk do the usual trading, the guards will arrest you if needed, etc.
It was made to be part of the Gweden mod, but there seemed to be interest in just the town, so I made the separate one later, and trimmed down the quest a bit.
I had also considered adding Elinhir, which is in Hammerfell just over the other border, the three provinces meeting just outside Sky's Edge Cave, which is a location in my Rumple Mod - the one with the Bear Riders. I just haven't come up with an idea for a quest into Hammerfell yet. The one I did have resulted in Haballa coming to Cyrodiil instead. Elinhir still might happen, if the muse strikes.

Darnand and (NPC) Jerric took a stroll north of the border. They're spending at least another day in ghastley's Falkreath. They arrived at sunset just in time to relax in the tavern. Darnand managed to annoy the proprietor, possibly by looking at the wrong big blond while I took the picture. After he scrounged around for things to sell so that he could bribe her they finally had a nice chat. Darnand definitely needs to invest in a Charm spell. NPC Jerric did very well on the way up. He likes to summon Slim (skeleton) pretty much every time a rat sneezes at them. Darnand's only AR comes from his leather gauntlets, so overkill is fine with him. I have never turned off the borders before, so this is pretty exciting. Hmm, Elinhir...
