It is driving me nuts too. Especially since Forecast Fox no longer works!

It just snarles up the computer somehow...McWife is not a patient woman when it comes to her internet, and when the comp starts acting like a dog because Firefox is slowing the thing up...Urgh...

I'm rarely off I.E. though, so I'm pretty much fine...Except for a couple of sites that don't like I.E. and only work properly on Firefox...Urgh...Bloody computers!!!...Just work properly will ya?!!...

Yep, I agree...Wholeheartedly...

But I also agree with the logic behind only sticking to that which has been in the films and starting again with a new story...

One of the main things I hated with a passion in the EU, is what they did to Han and Leia.

They get together, get married, have three kids...Brilliant!...

Then...

Because being happy is boring, they have a giant war that takes the husban's best friend, resulting in H&L's near-divorce; the youngest son is killed soon after a reconciliation with Han after the Solo Sr. blamed the Solo Jr. for leaving said friend to die (which he had to)...And then their remaining son goes all "True Force User™" and therefore evil and has to be killed by their daughter...

And this is fun is it?...Which bit of that are they supposed to film?...It's supposed to be escapist fun fiction meant for kids...Not that hideousness which pretty much had me abandon the EU...Only my OCD kept me going back for a while...

Oh, and going back to how much George knew about the EU...Apparently he got involved in the books thing at one point, because Anakin Solo was on course for becoming the saviour of the Galaxy...Because he was the one that figured out how to fight the Yuzzahn Vong...

And then, because he was making the prequel trilogy at the time, George the idiot decided that us mere mortals would get confused by having two heroes called Anakin in the two storylines...Y'know, one hell-bent on ruining the galaxy, and the other saving it sometime in the future...Easily confused...I mean you've got Anakin Solo and Anakin Skywalker...I've got them mixed up in the middle there though, I admit...Bad sentence structure...Apologies... ...Lemme be, it's early and I'm angry again...Let it go Robert!! Let it go...No, don't start singing the song!!!... ...Anyways, George the Idiot had them kill off Anakin Solo...*Shrug*...

I mean I'm confused all the time between George Lucas and George Foreman...Isn't everyone?...*Sigh*...

This is not fun or escapism...It's just depressing...Idiot people...And they keep hiring Troy Denning!!...WHYYYYY????...

I've never really explored the EU of Star Wars... I've seen all the films and a bit of the Clone Wars cartoons but that's it...

Aaaand right there is another of the points I should have made...

There are bound to be more people that have only "explored" the films and have absolutely no idea what's been going on with the EU at all...People that explaining Grand Admiral Thrawn, Thracken Sal-Solo, Wraith Squadron, Corran Horn or back to Mace Windu's Shatterpoint power thing is just going to take far too much time to do...

And if you're going to do the films properly, you have to have Han, Luke and Leia in there...Which means going back to what the core of SW is about...Kids Saturday morning adventure movie...Which means completely ignoring all the horrible stuff in between Jedi and now (then?...Long Time Ago etc)...

Just updated firefox, then had to hunt for an add-on to make it look like it did before the update

´rocu did turn in for the night, yes..

That´s why I´ve disabled the Windows update; I hate all the small changes I have to track down so I can change it back to how it was. Maybe I miss out on the good stuff too, but I figure if everything works why change it?

I love the movies.

I used to go watch almost every Friday and I loved it. But then I started to really dislike the movies I saw as they were all basically the same thing over and over but with other names, actors, etc. Lost interest pretty big and I haven´t been in many years now.

Every era has it's good(90's had Nirvana) and it's bad(sadly it also had LFC-Summer Girls).

You can't really judge a movie from the era it's from(unless said era has a particular st lye or film technique you dislike/like).

You can't really judge a movie from the era it's from(unless said era has a particular st lye or film technique you dislike/like).

And this is indeed the case. I feel that modern movies rely too heavily on special effects and CGI, often at the expense of plot, and so fail to interest me. Or at least that's my opinion.

Either that or its teen-oriented stuff like Twilight
