Er, he does have Stormbreaker in some of the comics. The movies do draw heavily from the comics, even if they aren't carbon copies.

He doesn't have anything called Stormbreaker in the legends, that must be a new thing. I have five big books with comics (three stories in each) about the old Norse gods, done with humor but with those old legends in mind. Nowhere is anything like it mentioned. Unless his powerbelt has that name but they don't say it then.

No, it's a comic series done by Danes in Denmark.


I don't take Marvel to be canon with regards to Norse gods comics. They've Americanized it.

Ok, that makes more sense. FYI, the superhero movies are all based off of Marvel comics, and made by Marvel Studios.
