I think I have my freezing issue fixed. It seems to be a Windows 10 issue, not a Gog version problem. I updated NVSE with a new(ish) beta version, updated New Vegas Anti Crash with a new beta version of it, and replaced New Vegas Stutter Remover with NVTF - New Vegas Tick Fix. I am not sure if the final one was necessary or not. But I was being thorough. NVTF is a similar program to the Stutter Remover, so both cannot work at the same time, as they do the same thing. I did find a tip for using NV Stutter Remover with Windows 10 however: CODE If you are using this mod on Windows 10, you need to open sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini in notepad and change the line:
bHookLightCriticalSections = 1
to
bHookLightCriticalSections = 0
Otherwise you will crash every 10-15 minutes or during load screens.
Now I am wondering if Fallout 3 might have the same problem. After I updated to Windows 10, I only started it up to make sure it worked. I did not play it for long. The same with New Vegas.

Ohhh yes, Windows 10. Gosh darnit. I use something for Fallout 3 which limits frames to 60 fps; otherwise my graphics card winds up wasting frames like mad. Haven't had much problem with stuttering in that game, but CRASHES are another story. FO3 is the least stable Bethesda game of all. Good thing is, as long as I Save and then Load every 20-30 minutes or so, I won't get random CTDs. They seem to occur due to a certain amount of time passing at this point. Anyway, glad to hear you have figured out your problem. Post some PICS!!!!

I remember that a long time ago removing the stutter remover actually caused less stuttering and CTDs were not so common anymore. Do you use OneTweak? It made CTDs even less frequent in my game. Apart from these fixes I use only NVAC and JIP NVSE plugin. And I also use Windows 10. I actually use NVAC for FO3 as well. It was the only program that solved the CTD issue in FO3. As per Lopov's Enemies of the Wastes mod: I had to redo some quests from before. So Cho defeated the Nuns of Hallowed Moor for the second time! This time, he made sure to leave his C-team back in Big Town, while he approached alone. He used his binoculars to get a good look at them. There were a bunch of red dots as he drew near. But none of them were moving! We didn't know what those were... Nuns, or mutants? Finally he saw it was the Nuns. They were all standing outside of the chapel. But their clothing blended them in really well, so they were hard to see, even in daylight! The first time we approached this place, his C-team went nuts. Pretty much noticed and pwned most of them before Cho could make one of his stealth shots. This time, he had them all to his own. He fired at one of them, blamblamblamblamblam and insta-pwned Sister Angrond I think. But then the rest of those sisters came after him! He had no choice but to run. They wouldn't give up chasing him, so he had to eat a Stealth Boy and hide under a bridge. From that moment on, he kept sneaking around and cherry-picking them from a distance. One of the nuns (the flamethrower one) drowned in a river.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jul 2 2021, 10:38 AM)  Gotta earn those caps!
It's so funny to me how Mirocu is like this totally rich guy in his time, millions of caps by now. Yet if he were to be somehow transported back to our time, all those caps would be worthless. He'd show up to some bank, looking to cash in and buy a home with a pool in Alexandria, a robot, and a Lexus. Only to find himself getting laughed out onto the sidewalk. Bottles are worth a few pennies in America, depending which state we're in. In Michigan they are (or were) worth a dime, for each one brought to a recycling facility. Nobody cares about the caps, though. ah geez. I'm just messin' with ya Crow, as usual.

I think in D.C. bottles can still be returned for 5 cents each. Not in Maryland though. I'll have to start paying attention to bottles. Pretty sure it's D.C., New York, Michigan, Oregon... 3 or 4 other states. Vicious is back in Springvale Elementary and she gained good XP for her latest mission. She is Level 4 now. I threw a point at Energy Weapons, and multiple points at Lockpick, Medicine, Small Guns, and Speech. I gave her the Gun Nut perk.
